- There's no point in changing the minds of adults. If we should have any hope of a bright future, we need to change our schools.
IMO, these are 5 subjects that should be introduced in every Indian School. Some of these might be introduced already(which I'd be really happy about) and most of these haven't been even mentioned at school for sure.

There should be a subject " how to learn things " . Where we are taught about how the brain works and how can we use different methods to retain the knowledge for a long time .
I feel our teaching method is stuck in a particular way and it caters to a particular group of students. Every student is unique and every student deserves a teaching method which he understands .
Self defense classes and I also think equal importance should be given sports because I come from a school where their main focus was to make the students get good marks in boards and I have seen students who get TC and join another school where they support sports.
why should a situation even arise where one needs self defense?
Mainly give important to boys buz school is the place where boys are discriminated

Cleaning , cooking practicals and a subject to improve communication skills rather than implementing fine for speaking any language other than English.

Also,the lack of employment in lawyers. After 10th,most of us choose science or commerce.
A new branch 'law' also should be brought and an entrance exam also should be created for it,so students will be more competitive to learn about laws and hence when they grow up,laws in the country will become more precise than what is happening rn.
Similarly, psychology also,to increase the knowledge about mental health problems and how brain works.
These 2 branches should be opened by govt. so that employment opportunities as well as necessary social improvements could also be obtained.

Personal finance:- now thats valid point that it should be teached in school but if you go by the its definition Mr. Ranauq its more of a subjective thing because you have to manage your finances by your own as per your conditions around you(students)
career guidance 100% should be included like the way you say , individually , coz I love movies , I love it so much that I wanted to become a director but nobody listened to me not even my parents and my friends laughed at me for even saying this , and I know all that motivation talks shit like don't care if others laugh at u and all just do what you love but no if your parents don't like something then you can't do it in India it's that simple so as you would have already guessed I joined engineering which I hate to the core , I hate it so much that it led me to depression so the 4th point raunaq said abt mental health also comes into play here and worse nobody listens to you even if you say about your sorrows and like exactly he said my mom says it's just 4 yrs just study it will be fine , idk why I'm saying all this but anybody who read this thanks for reading this , I feel a little better after saying my problem out , thanks raunaq anna for making this video

It would be soo great if we had these subjects in schools. Psychology and Mental health was one subject which I like the most (and finance too) I know school won't teach us about mental health so i learnt it by myself through many course websites and apps

On top of these 5, I think adding things like critical thinking, logical reasoning, basically "how to think, not what to think" in some form or the other would be really helpful.
While this should definitely be implemented ASAP, we also need to teach children that these are really important in life and need to get them in the right mindset so that they are interested and invested in these classes.
This mindset shift is going to be difficult. We can see how this is important after we have completed our schooling but putting myself in the shoes of school children, I can see how these will be shaken off as "just another boring class".
Apparently, I have proposed personal finance to middle.school this yr to the management, this yr(as a math teacher ).

Children should be thaught to Love and not to hate others.
Our culture and history. North Indian based schools will teach about notrh indian history and history from other country, like French Revolution, but WW1 AND WW2 are pretty important because India also took part in both wars, and more than millions of Indians participated in the war, that's not been thaught, the only WW2 battle fought in India the Imphal Campaign, it's not been thaught in schools. In South India, schools teach History about the states in which they are based in.
Classes to preserve their culture must be thaught.

I think a subject related to survival tactics in sudden adverse situations, should be introduced in schools. Apart from that there should be frequent events like extempore, debate, etc., in which a single individual needs to face a mass gathering, and every student have to be compelled to participate in those.
I think more importance in sports and not only cricket but other kinds of sports too. How do we expect india to win many medals in the Olympics if we only have one P.E class a week
