I wonder if that fork horn is from this years but hit with the skull damage it might have been broken of the skull from fighting back during the rut so it was out for an extra month or 2 longer than a usual shed

That is possible, I’ve walked up and down that ditch a bunch of times. Hard to believe I missed it.
