The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Thank you Ed Sulivan Show.We can use all the beautiful and great music that will never be obsolete.
she is so beautiful, and her voice is gorgeous
This really showcased her vocals. Shes a good singer ! ❤
she moves her mouth just like her dad! beautiful. Thanks to internet, generations can hear these beautiful sounds!
Hi Gwen! I thought the same about how mouth and actually her jaw too and notice how Andy Williams does it too with this song and probably many more. It seems a technique trained or maybe just simply intuitive talent and a way of at poignant times doing a very subtle and beautiful wavering effect.
She was so beautiful and special.
Wow! I didn't know much about her - but that was an absolutely perfect vocal... Blown away! 5 stars!
I can tell she feels the song...The way she changes her voice and enonantion . I can tell the way she looks into the camera and even her eyes are glassy. She feels like an Italian ,meaning Italian soul .
What an unforgettable masterpiece! Will move my heart forever ...
What a great variation on a Burt Bacharach/Herb Alpert classic 🥰
I never thought she was a great singer until I saw this. Wow!
She sings with so much set ness 🙏😀
Love her voice and music. She puts me under a spell.
i love this ,
Eu amo isso saludo aqui do brazil
Great song!!! Nice version by Nancy!!
Beautiful
Great version, thanks.
There's better way better
@@haitiansouljadex3186 no one asked
I love her music .
Thank you! Keep the Nancy videos comin'!
Jaw dropping gorgeous.
Yes she is but in singing she's not that talented and very overrated
@@haitiansouljadex3186
Explain it to us....
@@haitiansouljadex3186 incorrect
@@billmulvihill8452 what you mean it's clearly one of the reason she was that popular was for his father ahe did drop 2 or 3 but she wasn't near top 10 best female singer of the 60s
@@gidgetgirl1 yeahh right
What Class! So much star quality, beauty and style - where has this gone from today's "stars"? She didn't need to show all her bits and half her arse to gain our attention - I was just mesmorised watching that video....
Well said. Totally agree! I say bring this previous, classy, elegant style back!!!
What a beautiful voice
wow! beautiful and a very great voice
I love this arrangement of one of my favorite songs, and I adore her.
I can't imagine the late 60's without her. They really played to the camera back then, didn't they. This one's very good. I can't remember if Herb Alpert's was released before this or not.
Incredible singer
This Italian girl is the most gorgeous creature ever born in this world!!!
If you think that Nancy Sinatra is Italian, you are mistaken. In spite of her Italian name, she was born in America and is an American citizen. Also her father, Frank Sinatra, was bon in the USA and is an American citizen.
@@wingsflying43 So she is Italian American
@@johnpopo8440 Problem solved lol.
Frank Sinatra was born in America of 100% Italian ancestry,Who is NAcy's mother ? Is her mother also Italian -American
@@The1ByTheSea Yes. Nancy Sr's maiden name is Barbato.
She was limited as a vocalist but her voice was warm and charming and given the right material she could be very effective. And I always thought she was the prettiest singer of her time.
NANCY VOICE IS NOT VERY STRONG
@@sierria64 she wanted to be smooth not strong And she was quite good at it
Amazing
Great song to listen to in your Cadillac while cruising Vegas in 1968.
Just like Herb Alpert's version, when I was a 🎂 🎉!!!!!
She is beutiful in '60s
Sigh inducing. Can't take my eyes off of her. The audience at the end agreed.
Love this, never even saw this before, how I ever missed it I don't know - I don't recall that she recorded this I mean I have everything she did on Reprise, RCA and other labels -
omg i'm in love .. beautiful thing
Damn!!!! 💜💜💜
Ed's like.."uh-oh !..she's hugging me too close !...Frankie's gonna hear about it !...take a bow, Nancy...!..finally she let go !...don't want NO hassles..!..."
I'd forgotten about her until recently. Went down some rabbit holes tracing her career. Far more than "Sinatra's daughter".
I'm afraid not
@@haitiansouljadex3186
How so?🤔
@@haitiansouljadex3186 It's silly to go through life afraid.
I like her politics!❤
Superb
Nancy puts the most sensitive touch to this song.
what a great show!!! We've got a really big shoe for you tonight!!!
Fantastic.
What happen to music this song this time even someone did someone wrong songs still had a hope ,love, possibilities, happy, upbeat etc comparing to today songs so down , depressing, you know the rest. These videos are the way to go back to happy times , times of love and happiness, hope.
Amo essa cantora filha do sinatra
Show a parte!
Também.
An epic beautiful cover! I like it as much as the original ❤
I never knew Nancy Sinatra could sing like this ... dare I say this may beat Dusty, Dionne and Eyde's versions.
After the Herb Alpert original, this version is my favorite.
💗💗💗
This guy is in love with Nancy.
Wow this version is very very good. I'd say my second favorite; first being Dusty Springfield of course. No one does it like Dusty, absolutely no one.
Love it!
4:03 Sullivan goes for the handshake and instead she gives him a kiss on the cheek. Different times different girls I guess haha.
True. Shame it's not the same these days.
Go Sullivan
This song was sung with much confidence. Nancy did not just sang this, she acted the part of a girl in love too. Looked at that camera and made love to it.
Preciosa
Herb Alpert - This Guy's In Love With You
💖💖💖💖💖
Nancy talked about holding her voice back and raising the pitch. Her real voice was stronger like her father's and I wish she had just let it out big instead of toning it down to fit the style of most lady pop singers of the time. I bet she could really belt it out when she wanted but her image was constricted for the times.
She looks just like old blue eyes here she was 27
I love Nancy. She was so hot.🥰😍🥰😘😍🥰😘😍🥰😘
Loved Nancy Sinatra, a dream girl that had a beautiful voice and was so sexy,
This guy /me/in love with Her...
Sullivan was so nervous, he didn't know how to act. Man, was she beautiful!
Ok
Какой шарм, сколько флюидов...
These boots are made for walking should be the next vídeo
IT'S ALREADY ON CZcams
Noboby does it better than Dionne Warwick facts😃
Absolutely. Dionne was GREAT!!!
She quit Show Business to raise her two daughters
Is she wearing a wig ?
She sure is!
Better than Frank
I prefer the Herb Alpert version.
She had limited vocal ability. John Barry said that recording the Bond theme for You Only Live Twice was painful, the final "take" consisted of elements from dozens of takes spliced together almost line by line- she really was that bad!
Prove that he Said that! I Don't Believe It. Listen to Billie Eilish singing The new Bond Theme. It's Terrible she has Absolutly no voice.
I don't believe that
@@danjakobsson2425 who the hell is bilie eillish
Bullshit!
why is her jaw swinging
개처량한 세상.. 피 맺히는 음악..ㅋ
The tempos too slow ..there are much better versions of this song .When's she's got the right sing and arrangements she ws a distinctive sexy and very good artist ...
Sorry but Aretha Franklin does the best cover .
She had a pretty voice but l'm not liking the arrangement. Busy drummer because of it. Please don't walk all over me Nancy!
Nancy never got the play. She was good. Some reason it was not meant
To be.
HOPE IT WAS A REPUBLICAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No great singer and not even all that great looking. Even back then, branding, image, clothing styles, and slick studio production could take a mediocre talent to the top of the pop charts and to big time network television.
Said the mediocre human
