So the thing about Blue and Green, is that Green is his original name, since the first games were Red and Green. But Green was never released in America, instead being swapped out for Blue, so his English name was changed to Blue in order to compensate for that.

If you listen carefully to the music they played the champion theme for each song collectively (i.e. during Kukui you hear the Alola champion theme in the background) Its easy to miss since there is alot going on

He is actually still called Blue in origins, its in Japanese that he is called Green. Its always been an arguement that never goes anywhere, call him blue or green, same person.

Leon and Lance were both portrayed by long time veterans. JT and Dan have been around for a while, and Dan especially is notorious for his rapid rhyme scheme. Like legit, the first time I watched this reaction and when Leon came up and you said "You better not fuck this up!" I was like "Do you have any idea who youre talking about?" great reaction btw, loved the emotion put into it.

I recently started Pokémon journeys and I heard Leon’s voice and I knew it sounded soooo familiar I just couldn’t put my finger on it, but now I know it’s Kaggy!
The reason is because his name was only changed to blue for the american release of red and blue (it was originally red and green)

So, here's the thing about Green and Blue:
America decided to do a name flip on two characters because of the versions they were importing.
In Japan, Green is the rival with a design similar to Gary from ghe anime, a rude punk who always gets there first. Blue is the girl trainer that was never finished in time, and got a redesign for FireRed/LeafGreen with a nice hat.
In America, Green and Blue swapped names, and Green's FR/LG redesign has the fan nickname of Leaf.
The verse from JT Music surprised me. I love JT Music and Skull's rapping skills were amazing
