Coldplay's Fix You - Music Matters for Japan (Various Artists)

- To benefit the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami that shook the lives of so many in March 2011, 49 artists from 18 countries including Simple Plan's Pierre Bouvier and Sebastien Lefevbre, Evaline, These Kids Wear Crowns and 11 year old Yuto Miyazawa came together in Singapore to rerecord Coldplay's Fix You. The sale proceeds of the this track will go towards the Japanese Red Cross Society and Peace Boat (a Tokyo based charity which is helping with the country's rebuilding and rehabilitation efforts). Seeing this comment made me tear up myself. I'm from the Philippines.
Seeing this almost 5 years after Typhoon Haiyan struck us, I was about to tear up until before the solo part, I realized my own guitar was beside me. I was playing along Yuto Miyazawa and the guy with the Fender Stratocaster making my own solo while crying myself.
I first heard Fix You because of this :) Now I'm a fan of Coldplay :)
I met the members of Simple Plan last weekend. They are really nice guys who love to help others.
every time I hear this song, I cry. it's hard being away from my country, Japan, how much I miss. thanks to all
its so amazing when Yuto Miyazawa sang the last sentence. gave the song its soul!

It's hard to make a good Coldplay cover because they are too amazing but this one is so beautiful.
Regardless of what people say all the time when a song is used to help others, the cost of making it, studio time and so on. This is a chance for artists to use their talents to do something good for others and for those to show their support with these artists by buying this song and donating on top of it.

I know right?! This track was the first time I had properly heard Rich's solo voice. I know that he's incredibly talented, but when I heard how emotional and beautiful his voice was in this, I coud've cried.
