Just wanna share a fact why this song is so meaningful for them. Chris (vocalist) wrote this song for his then girlfriend (now ex-wife) after her dad passed away. She was so heartbroken because she had very close relationships with her father. That’s the reason this beautiful song called Fix you. Tried to fix her broken heart

After 15 awesome years, looks like my dog is about to give in. This song never made so much sense to me and never made me cry this much before. This is the power of music. It connects with you, and wake these emotions you had inside of you but didn't even knew. Some people may think it's kinda ridiculous to feel like this for a pet, but he's not just a pet. He's a family member. He's my younger brother. And i kind of got the chorus on reverse. I tried to "fix" him, but seems like soon the lights will guide him and ignite his bones. I hope that, wherever he goes, is somewhere with no pain and chicken fillet rains every thursday. But he'll have to make new friends, because i won't be there for him for some time. I hope he knows that one day i'll go pick him up.

I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this I wish the very best for both you and your younger brother. Nobody understands how much this song means to me. I lost my father back in October and it took such a big toll on me. On his birthday, April 25th, I had ordered wishing lanterns, which you light up and send into the sky kinda like a mini hot air balloon, and I was going to write a message on them and send them up into the sky. When my friend and I were preparing the lanterns this song came up on my playlist. The lyrics "lights will guide you home" and "tears stream down your face, when you lose something you cannot replace" mean SO MUCH TO ME. When we were releasing the lanterns these lyrics popped up in my head. I was wishing that they could reach somewhat close to wherever it was that my father was. My father was home to me and he could never be replaced. I miss him dearly. But THANK YOU Coldplay for making this beautiful song. I will be seeing you in August and cannot wait for this song to play.

I'm 11 and I just lost my dad to cancer. This song was played at his funeral which was last week and I am fed up with crying. I'm so sensitive to anything that reminds me of my dad and I cry almost every night. The thought of him not being there for my 12th birthday is horrible and I'm going to miss him soooo much, he means the world to me. I have a 17 year old brother, an 18 year old sister and a 4 year old brother who also have to go through this. My 4 year old brother was wondering why he hadnt seen his daddy in a while and he thought that he went on a long trip but last week he told me not to cry because daddy is up in heaven now. That killed me inside. And my mum only married my dad a few months ago so she's a widow and a single mother of 4 children. Certain songs are beginning to give me strength through this time - they are My Emortal, Fix You, Human and Full Circle because that was my dads favourite song.
All my thoughts are with you, your brothers, sister and mom. I wish you the best, and I'm sure your dad is protecting all of you from where he is... Stay strong 🙏🏼

My daughter would have been 7 on the 02nd of April this year instead she passed away in my arms on 11/05/15.
She was then and still is the only light of my life. I can't ever be fixed but so many people have tried. Just like the depths of my heartbreak I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for all those who try every day to fix me.

This song reminds me of the family and friends who stuck around and helped me back up every time I fell during my battle with alcoholism, and the ones who helped me reach and keep sobriety. Every time I listen to it now, I think of those who helped guide me on the path to recovery and am grateful for having them in my life, as I know I would never have made it without them.

What I like about it ist that when the first verse is sung I feel sad mostly because sometimes you know it's exactly the way I feel, and what I need to hear… I start thinking and let the music calm me down and when the drums and the guitar come in that's the moment I experience happiness again. This isn't my first time listening to this song, but I just found out that a dog I was really close to just got put down. He was unfortunately reactive and aggressive due to past experiences with other dogs, stress, and anxiety. I wanted more than anything for him to get better so he could get adopted. Unfortunately the shelter wasn't willing to wait and find out as they were worried he would bite another person. This is for you Lindor. I love you so much my sweet boy.
