- The CLA 250 has been totally redesigned by Mercedes for 2020. Under the hood is a 2.0L inline-4 turbocharged engine now producing 221 HP & mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. It's exterior has been stretched and widened. On the inside you will see the latest technology & a higher level of quality materials. Has Mercedes Benz really done the job with the 2020 Mercedes Benz CLA 250?

I have had my CLA for 4 months now, I had to wait 8 months for it. I am very very happy with it. I love the way it drive's, it responds so well. And the MBXU system is fantastic. Even though I am still learning it. I only have a couple of issues. When you hit the slightest of bumps, the seatbelt clips bang in the back against the plastic. And any bigger bumps the passenger clip also bang's. Also as it is keyless entry, you just keep the key in your pocket. When you sit in the car, it often opens the boot. I have also opened the boot when walking away from the car a few times without noticing. And returned later to find my boot open, or my neighbor coming to let me know. Apart from that I am very happy with the car!
Get a lanyard, never an issue, plus you can keep your pockets empty.

I got my first 4MATIC CLA 250 in 2014. Great car, pretty, drives great, and stylish. I am 5f11’ comfy. I am shopping for my next Mercedes. Likely will stick with the CLA.

I own a 2018 cla 200 and now I'm waiting for my cla 250 4matic 2021 to be delivered sometime in March (it will be produced in the beginning of February), I ordered it in November and it feels like the time stands still since then.😅 Thank you for your great review, it does the waiting time more comfortable, or at least more manageable!

I just leased this car and I'm in love! It's my forever car and I will purchase it and the end of the lease! The is my 4th CLA 250 and he's right, Mercedes raised the quality at least 10 notches!

@@jennifertran2171 There are a few reasons. Your out of pocket expense are less. Your payments are less, and your payments can be a business expense, if you have a company. Also, it gives you time to really know and love the car. At the end of your lease you have a residual value, which shows the amount of money, that you can buy your vehicle for. Also, at this time your money us invested in the car and you're not throwing it away. We've done this with 4 other cars over the years. I hope this was helpful!
I got a 2015 loaded c class. I’m debating what to get next . One of these , or an Audi , like the new q3. Or a 2018 e class . I like the tech a lot in this but it’s a lot more than the new q3. Plus I need good four wheel drive for snow so the small suv might be better . What you guys think?

Why is everyone saying the CLA is fake and not worth the money? It’s just a economically affordable for those who can’t afford the C-class or S-class or etc. I have the CLA-250 AMG. I get many compliments and I love my!! Everyone is complaining about the artificial exhaust I see.

Yes! I like the updated interior of the cla but I don’t like the exterior, it looks bulkier from the back. And the tail lights of the older models of the cla are so iconic and beautiful
This is a very nice car . I like this cla 250 but also like a 220 . But in the end this may be the one I love the horsepower doesn’t seem like pushing car to get up and sounds better than a220 . Are the headrests comfortable ? Thanks again for your honest reviews .. stay safe and healthy..

I’ve never been a Mercedes fan due to their poor reliability but at a starting price of $38k, the CLA is an absolute steal. Fantastic interior and exterior, especially the 2021 model.

Question: Do all the CLA 2020 come with ambient lighting on the inside, aka is that a factory included thing? or is that only upon your request to add it?
It should be included if you opt in for the premium package as I remembered. Honestly, I don’t see why not getting it, because it also included the bigger screen. The ambient lighting is super cool during nighttime.
missing the big cup holder here. i have the 2015 and there’s 5 cup holders up front, one being for 1 big massive blender bottle. i love my 2015.
also, might i add, one of the comfiest seats i’ve sat in for the price.

The mismatching panel on the top is why I didn’t order white and went for black instead it really bugged me

It's exactly the same other than a little bit different hood and the more aggressive headlight. Everything else is about the same. This one is the AMG line version, which is the same on the A-class

Hi there I think the reflection you are seeing might be coming from the camera angle when making the video. I have the 10.25 inch screens in my A220 and there are no reflections in the day.

I had a first generation CLA 250 and absolutely HATED that it always started in ECO mode. Did they change this for the new generation ones?

I'm going to preface this comment by saying that I know very little about Mercedes Benz. Never thought of owning one, until now. I think the CLA gets you into the brand for not a ton of money and opens up the brand to people like me that are not super wealthy. This is right in my price point. The fit and finish look better than anything Cadillac or Lincoln puts in their sedans. The 20 inch screen is awesome looking as well and the customization is very good. The layout of everything inside is well thought out. Love the seat adjustment on the door panels instead of the side of the seat. The fake exhaust, yeah it sucks. The rest of the outside looks really good. I know people want to throw out power numbers and point out that you can get more power for less cash. Yes you can, but this car is more about style, fit and finish, quality and brand name. This car is a home run for MB. In my opinion. Keep up the great work Joe. Never a bad video from you!
Not a Benz fan, but this is a great looking car and a bargain for the price considering the features. I never thought I'd see something like this from Mercedes for under 40k. It looks best in black though.

I like the new design of the CLA 250 I just wish it would produce around 250 horse power to the wheel. And I wish the read roof line was about 2 inches higher for your backseat riders.

You could prolly get 250 with some simple mods on it. I think it can easily push 280 and could maybe get even 300-320

I think the fake exhaust is a real fail.
BUT, from one angle I understand the premise. People want some sort of finishing back there for "exhaust" but dont want the black mess that comes with that. They're always shiny. Never any exhaust residue. They should just redesign so theres no exhaust showing whatsoever. But then people would complain about that too. I guess I can understand both sides.

Hi there, once he got in the driver's side I thought he was talking about my car the A220.
I know a lot of folks are saying this is a “broke man’s Benz” I will say for me however that I looked at the E class and C class and chose the CLA because I liked the look and sporty feel more. Regardless of cost, this is just a better fit for some 💁🏾♂️

Now somebody please tell me who would spend $46-$47,000 on a 2019 VW Arteon other for space and if thats what their Diggin, when u can get you a 2020 Mercedes Benz CLA250 just the base model with the beautiful natural Walnut grain wood accents 2 -10 inch screens for infotainment and digital Gauge Clusters, W/Polar White Exterior color and Mochiato Beige interior that goes well, see this how u spec a Car other companies need to start looking at Mercedes these do some of the most amazing Specs this one of their Entry level cars , thats $5,000 more or $700 more for the CLA base model, guys these other companies need to do better, and they dont charge you more for ApplePlay or Android Auto, or make you go up a spect just to get whats suppose be in a base model equivalent, the digital gauge cluster, with nice well thought out Interior materials and specs, forget the Arteon, Mercedes has done it again, and forget the stinger Mercedes has done it AGAIN look at Mercedes they will show you how to spec a vehicle or newer model
Jun Dollasbe I agree with you. People spend like 40 thousand dollars on Toyota’s and jeeps and Honda’s. When you can get a brand new Mercedes for under 40k. Obviously it will be more cheaper and reliable if you don’t get a Mercedes but still.
You are correct it maynot be cheaper but think is anything cheaper anymore other than water and that depends on what brand. I have a friend; whose mom has a 2017 Jaguar F Pace to just for her car not starting and replacing the radio ,was $300 it was some kind of fuse from the radio cost the car to stop working on the same. Token that look my friends car a 2015 Hyndai Sonata a couple or 4 years old , he always takes it in to get serviced at the dealership only to learn of their markups , he was told about he may need to replace his battery, the Dealership said to him to replace his fuel cell battery would be $350 , really $350 it depends on which car you can want are you willing to pay the insurance amount and the maintenance and repair cost honestly u need someone eho is honest with u really to keep your car up to par. But besides the point i plan on either getting the 2020 Mercedes benz A220 in 2022 or the 2020 Toyota Supra but i think im not gonna be able to because look how people are treating the hype no car i have seen on the past month i have been watching worth $49,000 im gonna give to 2022 i make my decision then, its crazy bruh,shit crazy asf i doubt even if it got 21,000 miles on the 2020 Supra they will have it for at least $30,000 people are gonna mark it up to ,i guess i gotta wait and see i know we see i want the Yellow or Ice Grey Metallica

@@kenchy318 yes 360 camera, active cruise control, driver assist package I suppose you can call it auto pilot, lane keep assist, park assist, amg package, night package, 19 inch wheels, intelligent led highbeams lighting package. premium package. it has heated seats, but no ventilated seats. burmester sound system, multimedia package, adaptive suspension. I have the mountain Grey magno color which is very rare and adds alot to the sticker. car looks crazy cool and unique for the 2020 model with the AMG trim. total sticker 56525.

i owned the cla 2014 release model, loved that car, had looks, quality, performance, reliability, and no too pricy like other mercedes, amazing car and only those who buy it and live with it will really understand, cos you only be dissin it if u don’t buy it, or are over 6 feet tall :)
How do u compare this car driving experience with the nissan sentra?
I haven’t personally driven either one, but how is this even a question? Mercedes with some pep and a DCT transmission is gonna drive much better. Also a hell of a lot nicer interior than the Sentra on every level. It looks like it would feel refined and refreshing to get behind the wheel every day while the Sentra comes across as very boring and not too interesting to drive. Also saw a comment saying that their 2020 cla got 36-37 mpg on freeway so if that’s an issue between the 2 for you then that might help you out
To be honest though, the fact that the Sentra has a cvt paired to a naturally aspirated 4 cyl is blah. If you don’t want to spend the extra dough on the cla and are looking at a Sentra, go look at and drive a civic. It might be a tad more expensive but it at least has a turbo 1.5 L 4cyl. I’m aware of the oil solution issues but from what I’ve researched, Honda has fixed the issue and is manufacturing the fix and has been since late 2018 and early 2019
