Plus, most of the time if the judges ask them to stop, they ask them to try a different song. especially if they see potential. The judges can clearly see by her style that the 1st song didn't quite fit, Demi even pointed it out. They could tell CeCe had star potential and would make good TV with her cut-throat attitude so I think it makes sense they would ask her to try again. But you are right, it would be a huge risk but it was definitely worth it, if how far she got is anything to go by.

Also the other contestants all had reasons for being kicked off so soon for instance: Paige tried to do a serious version of the rick roll song, Beatrice cracked under pressure, Jennel just didn't stand out.

I'm sorry, I didn't think Cece's voice was that good when I first heard it in 2012 and I still don't think it's good. This audition was not good...period! I'm not even going to mention the first song, but when she started the second song with that run, she was pitchy and she obviously couldn't glide between the notes as smoothly as she thought she did. Terrible runs, wavering in and out of pitch throughout BOTH songs, not much control over her vocals...she lasted too long that season!

Well for her voice it's not bad , but to have that amazing stage style is amazing like that's her first performance I guess and she's performing like she's in a concert or she's already famous , I like her style it's amazing :)
People she's good so stop hating and enjoy the music . God damn .

I'm sorry, I didn't think Cece's voice was that good when I first heard it in 2012 and I still don't think it's good. This audition was not good...period! I'm not even going to mention the first song, but when she started the second song with that run, she was pitchy and she obviously couldn't glide between the notes as smoothly as she thought she did. Terrible runs, wavering in and out of pitch throughout BOTH songs, not much control over her vocals...she lasted too long that season!

I agree with you, but I think that the judges accepted her for such a long period of time because of her confidence and entertainment, which is why the judges and the audience were mesmerised by her, therefore voting for her every week of the show.

So basically it was her looks and sex appeal that got her through...it wasn't her voice. That voice was awful. Cece was fun to watch, but wasn't fun to hear. I sure didn't vote for her.
yes thank god sb who thinks like me... i just think shes good at shouting notes and make them sound good. people start cheering and u cant hear her mistakes clearly. idk why she was picked over jillian tbh.
