The thing I noticed about the X Factor (As far as the American version goes anyway) is that the Auditions are always the best performances for each artist. Then the "Professionals" get their hands on them and they start to go down hill. Maybe it's just me.
***** actually alex and sierra, who won last season of xfactor, are doing pretty well and had and album come out that is amazing and they are going on tour.
glitterglosslyts I know, they're the first out of three seasons. And it's sad. Melanie Amaro won in 2011 and I still haven't heard from her. The only people that have made it are Alex and Sierra and 5th Harmony.
I do find that after their first performance a lot of them do go downhill. I did not like Demi's "makeovers" and the songs that they eventually sing is not their style of music. They are actually really good and it is sad. I don't think that having a female mentor is good for the young women.
They liked her cause she was different, but turned her more of the same. Especially having Demi as coach, she turned Jannel in herself, a copy of Demi. I really sorry for Jannel, I like her a lot ❤.
+Rhahavy B and most people from this season are decently successful, (Fifth Harmony, Bea Miller, Diamond White, Carly, Paige Thomas, Jennel, and even Jillian Jenson who didn't even get pass judges houses)
I am a passionate singer and music fan, I’ve obsessively watched singing and talent show auditions for years, and this one has always stuck with me as an all time fave. Little petite cutie giving us some unexpected rock and roll attitude and impeccable vocals!!! Love her little dance moves too. Iconic 10/10

I just watched Jennel's covers for "Save Your Tears" and "Creep" which were both phenomenally good. I came here to watch her audition again because I hadn't seen it in years. I had forgotten how good it was. She is so pretty and talented.

her cute soft brown hair and natural makeup worked so well with her sexy rock sound. there's an element of surprise there that she's lost since she dyed her hair black. her choice but still feel like it makes a difference visually =/
Lovato told Jennel her hair flipping was "a sign of nervousness". I lost all respect for Lovato's ability to guide young women after I watched that video.
Demi had no part in changing her image, she's the mentor on the show but that doesn't mean she really does any mentoring. It's all for show, any image changes and song choices are done by the producers.
I ALWAYS say this. I love Demi but she really didn’t understand that part of Jennel’s image was looking innocent but having this inner sexy to her. Demi went straight rock and roll sexy with her and it altered the perception of who Jennel was and influenced people to forget who she really is. Demi meant well but she definitely ruined Jennel’s chance of winning. But it’s ok. It’s all a lesson learned and she’s gonna get on top one day!
Jennel Garcia is the first one I've ever seen that Simon actually moved his head like he was enjoying it she did a kick-ass job you go girl ! and what Simon meant about coming back to Circle is the old always comes back around and surfaces again

The X-Factor irritates the hell out of me. They took this amazing girl, made her sing songs that suck, changed her look completely, and then sent her home because they didn't like what they had done to her. She's amazing, where the hell is she now?

I couldn't agree with you more on that! I mean I don't dislike the X Factor, but I do believe the guidance they gave this girl was incredibly poor. They made her lose every bit of originality she had, and turned her into something completely average, when she shined from the first moment. I don't think good tutoring means changing hair styles or clothes, but to give people enough confidence to take a chance on whay they believe.

The blame for that lies solely on Demi's shoulders. Jennel kicked ass, but Demi is a HORRIBLE mentor! Not that Brittney was any better, her 'coaching' almost got Carli kicked out after the first round, but at least she was smart enough (or the producers stomped on her) to get the hell out of Carli's way and let her do her thing. Jennel totally got robbed by having a shitty mentor. I dont think she could have won, but she should definitely have made the top three.
She was just ready to explode!! on this audition. She's VERY beyond healthy and happy, equipped, provided, excited to throw out all that she has and her passion to represent rock music. She has straight teeth, her background is settled and supported. The mind, character, and personality that she has are beyond down to earth. Her taste is very likable. It is beyond an honor to see you being as you are and for you that you are to be existing. We need more people like you, maybe I just need to get out more often to meet someone like you. I honestly think this young lady had enough raw talent that she shouldn't have been told to change anything! Based on this performance alone it was obvious she had excellent instincts....
I absolutely loved Jennel's first couple of performances on 'The X Factor' because I liked that she was a shy girl offstage and a rockstar onstage. That gave her an edge, but unfortunately, it was taken away from her when the live shows came.
Loved this girl such a great audition so was emblem3s, I hated how the xfactor judges took their originality away tryna turn them into cheesy pop clones, when they was so unique
