Canon R5 vs 5D Mark III comparison in photography

- I know Canon R5 is a great camera that facilitates the photo and video shooting with all its great functional options but still it's among the expensive cameras in the market and not everyone can afford to buy it.
while I have both of Canon R5 and 5D Mark III, I can say, with some practice on using a manual cameras then 5D Mark III can be an ideal choice for a professional photography.
I still enjoy the vintage touch of the photos I take with 5D Mark III and it gives you a very real result.
nowadays we are surrounding by different high tech products and extraordinary advertisings about them, with very high prices, but sometimes we can find the older version of them working much more practical.
The 5DM3 was the culmination of digital photographic technology as we know it today. What came after was a market exercise in reality. If you are a true photographer the 5DM3 has it all.

@@masterpieceshots Great video. I owned the mark 3 and the mark 4. Seems like the focus on the mark 4 was way better. Did you ever have trouble focusing on the mark 3? I noticed i had to take more images to get subject in focus.
So it’s not just me thinking that the 5D III has some very film-like qualities.

🇰🇿❤ Hello from Kazakhstan. I have two Canon 5d mark III cameras. I still shoot commercial and sports with them. Just recently I replaced 4 new CANON LP-E6NH batteries. I have 6 EF lenses 70-200mm f2.8 + 1.4x teleconverter, 24-105mm f4, 100mm f2, 50mm f1.4, 28mm f1.8, 20mm f2.8

I have 5D Mark 3 in 2024 and seriously i must say the quality is too good I use my best for Product and Fashion Photography

SN: I knew the Mark III would get the job done. I've got a Mark IV and it's really no better than the Mark III. The Mark III may even be built better since the front dial seems to break on a lot of the Mark IVs, and I hear the Mark III is as tough as a tank. However, once you get used to using the wifi on the newer models (e.g., Mark IV, R6, and R5), you're gonna like the upgrade.

The Canon 5D Mark III has a special handle with the Canon WFT-E7 WI-FI module, with its help you can connect to a computer and transfer RAW photos through the native Digital photo professional program or via an ftp server.
I have such a module, it runs on an LPE6 battery. I agree that the Canon 5d mark III is like a tank and more reliable than today's cameras
The 5R is inferior to the Mark iii's color science. Only reason to upgrade would be for the video option.

@@vitormoreiras ainda sou novo em fotografia, mas a SL3 tem alguns recursos interessantes que a 5D não tem. Wifi, filmagem em 4K por exemplo.
O sensor da SL3 é cropado, e caso suas lentes sejam ef-c acredito que devam ter outro comportamento no sensor full da D5 (vinheta talvez).
Acredito que vc não teria uma grande evolução com essa troca, mas isso teria que ser analisado por gente mais experiente que eu.
hi! i have a kinda weird question.
do you have any tips for photographers, who struggle keeping one eye closed and using one to look through the viewfinder? idk but ive been struggling, its so weird i cant even describe it haha. my eye starts twitching, hurting and cant properly focus anymore lol. when I was younger and only shot analog I had no problems. :/ so now, i either have to take a break or stark looking at the screen... does an extended viewfinder eyecup help?
did you try alternating eyes, as in if you're struggling to keep the right eye closed, instead trying the other eye? Otherwise, you can also not close your eyes, which is what i myself am trying to learn as that can help with subject acquisition in wildlife
Hi there, I try to take the shots, especially with wide lenses with both opened eyes, so one of my eyes still can see the scene behind the camera and catch the details but if it's difficult for you then I suggest you to use your left eye to look through the viewfinder so your right eye without closing will be behind the camera and the camera body covers it. In this way you don't need to struggle with the muscles of your face to keep your eye closed. 😊 but honestly talking, I also like to use the monitor sometimes 😅

I've owned the R5, A7IV, and now Nikon Z9. Nothing gives the look and feel of my 5DIII with L glass.
Hi there, the look and shading process in images taken by 5DIII is something with originality, touch of vintage look in a very pleasant way. ✔️
Nice film, to be honest to compare both cameras the white balance should be set the same say K5600 and not on auto white balance however most will use on auto so guess that works for this purpose. I used 5D, 5DIII, 5DIV, 5Ds, 5DsR, EOS R & R5. My satnd out for media all rounder was the 5DIII which is still an amzing body. The R5 is a game changer and an all round toolbox for still and video. Always shoot RAW but that said the JPG adjustments in shooting is amazing on both bodies even if the 5DIII is older. These are a great choice to compare and for the money 5DIII still delivers. The 5Ds and 5DsR were very specific, I used them for magazine shoots and always work better in studio conditions. Nice film and think this will help people.
Hi there and thanks alot for your useful comment. I completely agree with you, I also believe 5DIII is one of the best gears so far released by Canon and if there are two Canon cameras which I like to shoot my photos with, are 5DIII and R5.

😁😁😁😁 yeah the image color and shading process in Mark iii is really good
My ancient rebel XT camera can make the same quality picture. Even better if you like so called creamy pixels. Since the resolution of the sensor is 8mp. Of course the drawback of this camera is that you will spend more time to shoot and make more focus mistakes. But if you have time and you are not a photojournalist you can easily take great shots with almost any camera and lens.

I believe that there is a about a $1,000.00 difference in cost. Also, I'm seeing more bola with the R5 but that may be the lense.
