I'd argue Cartoon network not having a mascot makes sense considering that they specialize in you know making cartoons, you wouldn't want to push a single franchise so having a different mascot (or mascots) every era is the best option

I keep calling The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10 and Adventure Time as CN’s “Big Three”, and maybe they can fit as mascots for the three different eras in which they debuted in, but I don’t think any of them fit as a mascot to the entire channel. They just don’t represent nearly enough.

My guess is that CN didn't want to bother having one after a few attempts and rather let the characters and shows speak for themselves......
Disney Channel is part of the larger Disney fold, hence Mickey was bound to represent the channel in some way or form while Nickelodeon homegrown pretty much everything and naturally let the decision fall onto how things fold out....
CN however is interesting as even before Moxie, they had that Jester character that appeared in certain promotional materials and bumps but never caught on.

In my mind, Dexter has always been the mascot of Cartoon Network. CN's website had him as its icon in the 90s/early 00s. And Dexter's angular design along with his white lab coat and black shoes matched CN's original logo really well, which was black and white and rectangular. Even long after the channel stopped airing Dexter's Laboratory, I still considered him the mascot. I mean, Disney doesn't have to make more Mickey Mouse cartoons, or air Mickey Mouse on Disney Channel for you to know that Mickey is the mascot of Disney Channel. Like Mickey, Dexter came and made his mark, and the CN logo will always echo Dexter for me, just like how the mouse-head silhouette from Disney will always echo Mickey.

For Adult Swim's mascot, it often jumbles between Shake, Space Ghost or Rick.
For Shake, there were a handful of AS bumpers that involved him bickering about what's on his mind. (What Would I Do For Cash, Shake's Perfect Day, and Love Song are three that come to mind.) He also had a walk around costume seen in bumpers and also appeared at the Colon Movie premiere, so I'd say he's the closest.
Space Ghost was the first AS show and practically the godfather of the block, plus made a few appearances in other AS shows. (ATHF, Brak Show, Perfect Hair Forever) It would make sense for him to be the block's mascot, but the one thing halting this is because the show is actually very niche.
For Rick, he's a definite answer since R&M is the most popular show on the block. He's the first character that comes to mind when you think AS, and has enough merchandise to fill the masses.

I love that Cartoon Network doesn't have a mascot as it shows that all of its shows from over the years represents what it truly is. They've had mascots, just not in the traditional sense. I'd say any main character from their flagship shows could count as a mascot (they essentially served as a unit of mascots in the Cartoon Cartoon era), though they had OCs to represent programming blocks more often than the whole network (TOM for Toonami, Erin and her alien friends for Miguzi, Pipoca and Henderson for Tickle U, the fat kid for Super Chunks), the Noods and Any Malu from CN Latin America are the only exceptions to that I've seen.

I personally see Cartoon Network having a mascot shifting depending on the era, just like Playstation. For example:
    1. Either Dexter or Space Ghost during the early 90s.
    2. The Powerpuff Girls during the late 90s and early 2000s.
    3. Ben 10 during the mid to late 2000s.
    4. Finn and Jake during the early 2010s
    5. The TTG since 2015
On side note, I would say this also somewhat applies to Adult Swim as well, just not as much as CN. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force trio were clearly the faces of Adult Swim throughout the 2000s, but since 2014 that position has been given to Rick and Morty.

if the powerpuff girls 1998 was still in production after 2005, they would've been the mascots of cartoon network.

Absolutely, if the movie didn’t fail then the network would have pushed these girls to the moon

Would Bugs Bunny be the mascot of Cartoon Network?
By the way, Cartoon Network is owned by Warner Brothers!

Great comment! I didn’t include bugs bunny or Scooby doo because they existed way before the network was even a thing. I’d say bugs is warners mascot and Scooby is bomerangs mascot. And yeah Cartoon Network is owned by turner broadcasting which is owned by Warner.

Cartoon Network is like Sony, they changed mascot time to time(from Dexter to the Powerpuff girls to Billy and Mandy to Ben 10 to Chowder to Finn and Jake(adventure time) to Steven Universe
