Its because wailord and wailmer have alot of hp like chansey and blissey due to its mainline game counterparts which have a base hp which is very very high and pokemon go bases the stats mostly on the mainline game base stat totals

@@hackkkmannn3411 blimey but thankfully because it was the water festival I got x2 candies every time I caught a Pokémon so every time I got six but I
When I used a pinap berry it gave me a whopping 12! So yeah I only had to catch 42 which is a lot but I got a wailord which is over 1900 CP not the strongest but it’s still cool now I got him

Actually Wailord is not bad for a battler pokemon, it has terrible defense yes, but it can pull off so many moves that it can be the next kyogre
