Not at all. It was very calm this year compared to when I went 4 years ago, way different, the cops had everything under control and were very well organized. Even 4 years ago when it was crazy, I never felt unsafe, yes I felt that shit I didn't necessarily want/need might happen to me (beer hitting me, getting wet with liquids, getting hit by a battery/etc) but I felt that it was happening within a controlled environment and that I was going to make it out to the bus. The American fans were not sold beer in our section during the game this year.

I’m Mexican American and I love both anthems. Both are beautiful and inspiring. One I learned from my parents and one I learned from school, and both I sing loud and proud. Not at all. It was very calm this year compared to when I went 4 years ago, way different, the cops had everything under control and were very well organized.
Even 4 years ago when it was crazy, I never felt unsafe, yes I felt that shit I didn't necessarily want/need might happen to me (beer hitting me, getting wet with liquids, getting hit by a battery/etc) but I felt that it was happening within a controlled environment and that I was going to make it out to the bus. The American fans were not sold beer in our section during the game this year.

I’m Mexican American and I love both anthems. Both are beautiful and inspiring. One I learned from my parents and one I learned from school, and both I sing loud and proud.
Also, you can be proudly Mexican American and want to improve border security to save lives and cripple drug trade/violence. You can be Mexican American and identify with republican values. Yup I said it.
