Smm3 better have a "custom run" mode where you can set a number of levels and lives, and maybe it'd be nice to include other search elements, so you could create a random run set completely in desert themed levels (for example)

I remember when Phantom Hourglass came out & talking to my cousin about how long it would be before a Nintendo game had no resale value because of no online play. This feels like I'm finally getting the answer 17yrs later.

It was 1am when I came across that part, so I'm shouting at my DS to give it to me & my roommate yells from his room "if you don't let me sleep I'll give it to you alright!" Lol

Nice! Barb discussed how it would be great if Nintendo offered SMM as part of their subscription service, even if it was bare bones, like no more awarding stars or even keeping track of cleared levels. I agree, from a preservation aspect, if nothing else, but we know that isn't happening, of course, sadly. At least we have thousands of hours' worth of videos from favorite content creators to remember the good times. 🙂👍

Just watched P-Break, and you can definitely see that the creator was inspired by it. Cool that this is one of the levels in Panga's final 100-man run.
The thing I miss the most about Mario Maker 1 are definitely the amiibo costumes

I've been streaming 100 man on Tuesday nights for the last few months since they announced they were shutting it down. I did what I think is my last run this week as I think it'll be over before next Tuesday. It was bittersuite for me. I started my channel 7 years ago on MM1 and since then my kid is almost 6 and I've grown to love/hate MM2 because I've grinded out levels for no reason really other than to entertain and take away time from my family.

In Mario Maker 1 you can't duck as small Mario in SMB & SMB3. Same thing in the original SMB & SMB3.
However, you can duck in the SMB1 style if you're wearing an Amiibo costume!
I guess Mario can’t duck when at just 1 health left in that style.
This is definitely not like Endless... because this is the end.

I am still salty that they took away so many great features in SMM2. I get it, you want SMM1 to be its standalone title, so that it does differ from the sequel, however, they could have kept the 100 man challenge though...

A question for Panga, or maybe one of his longer term watchers can answer. I've only been watching Panga for a few years. He showed that he's only played 8 rounds of 100 man super expert, so what was he doing back then when he played SMM1?

Mario Maker 1 had more charm, Mario Maker 2 has multiplayer.
Over all, I prefer the first one, but it would be nice to have the good parts of both in one game.

I mean, if SMM3 would bring this back, just increase the difficulty. Not 6 levels in every difficulty but increase the amount for expert, normal and easy while making it unskippable.
