    James, it's incomprehensible to me why you only have 357K subs! The quality of your videos are far and away the best on CZcams. You are incredibly articulate and your ability to bring the viewer along for the journey as you review cars is unsurpassed. Keep up the good work!

    Genuinely appreciate the honesty of the review! Need balls to talk about the pros but also the cons of a car coming from a manufacturer with which you have some relationship going on. That's why you are on top of the game. Stay the same man. Cheers!

    Extremely love the DB11 already but this AMR has defo bumped it up. Not sure about the graphics on it, I normally love that on cars, even on the new Vantage but something about it being on a big AM gt car, it’s a tad out of place (IMO). Great video as always James, keep it up 👍🏻

    • @KUROSHURA
      @KUROSHURA Před 6 lety +2

      EKDrifter458 it’s that neon green that’s killing it. It’s a failed attempt at making AMs look more sporty and racy. But the colors just don’t match. They need to try white with gold contrasts to make them look just as elegant and sporty.

      Aston Martin Db 11 Amr Car , When Mode Sport / Sport + :
      The Best , Use The Manual Mode On The Paddle Shifter .
      Never Mind Sport / Sport Mode + In Grand Touring Mode Also Still Using Manual Mode :
      So The Sensation Of Driving Is So Felt Because Of The Power Produced By The Aston Martin 11 Amr Car Engine : Can Be Issued Maximally .
      Until The Most Important Is When Doing Engine Brake .

    @dstarley Před 6 lety +5

    I don't understand why the DB11 is now going to be only sold as DB11 AMR. Surely it makes more sense to have the AMR version as an upgrade? Ok, the technical improvements are needed to the standard DB11 which is being overshadowed by the Vantage, but you could leave the power upgrade to the AMR version for example. Just seems a strange decision to me.

    I was wondering what 'DB' in DB11 stood for, this is what I found.
    "It turns out “DB” was actually a man’s name (super uncommon in this industry, I know). It stands for David Brown, a machine manufacturer and driver, according to our friends at Motor1 UK. Brown bought Aston Martin in the 1940s and proceeded to slap his initials on the cars."

  • @JustSayin24
    @JustSayin24 Před 6 lety +1

    Just a quick tip. You should start each car showcase with a shot of the front, rear and side of the car. Your, exhaust, POV and panning, zoomed-in cinematic shots are great - I think it's impossible to criticise them - however I believe they should be reserved for after the car is fully shown in all its glory. We had to wait 2:20 to see what the front of the car looks like and 4:00 to see the back.
    It may seem like I'm nitpicking, but I realise that I sometimes subconsciously click on other videos in my subscriber box from other channels showcasing the same car, because I know the first thing I'll see is what the car looks like. And especially for a new super car reveal with a very particular styling, seeing the entire car within the first 30s of the video is really important to me.
    I hope this is constructive. Your production quality is second-to-none in every other aspect.

    I'm late to the party as usual but when you mentioned that you prefer the Vantage to the DB11 and the main thing the DB11 has in comparison to the Vantage is the V12, I immediately thought about how a V12 is coming to the Vantage. So when the Vantage makes the step-up to 12 cylinders, will it become the logical and most appealing choice for you coin? That's how it seems to me.

    I know you're not buying a super GT any time soon but since you drove quite recently the new Bentley Continental GT and now this, which would you rather have? I have a feeling that even though AMR is "sportier" you would choose GT because of the dual clutch, and it's more practical so it's better on the GT part of the super GT

    @ChrisDorgan Před 6 lety

    You would think a "racing" department would be looking to reduce weight, increase power and make it look more aggressive, better brakes / gearbox. Not sure the DB11 needed the AMR badge just yet. Should have just tweaked the DB11 suspension etc and basically did a mid cycle face lift / refresh. Wait until the Vantage has launched fully, then offer a light weight, naughty Vantage AMR, race car inspired version of the Vantage and then once they have established themselves as a worthwhile upgrade on standard cars then start heading towards acting like a fashion pack.

    Where does the interieur suggest that this is a racing derivate? Simply putting alcantara in it is not enough. Look at how porsche is doing it, and take notes

    James, is this car a little like when we had the DB9 then Aston brought out the DBS? If you know what I mean?
