Thank you so much for this video. I watched it and then ordered the part from what I think was your repair shop. It came in today and it was an extremely easy fix. Took about 10 minutes and tv is working again perfectly.

Thank you!!! Actually, the genius part about the phone camera seeing the remote waves was amazing! That's how I figured out that I had a sticky button being pushed constantly! It didn't look or feel sticky but obviously a button was stuck! If I didn't watch your video I would have replaced parts or the entire tv when i didn't need to and never would have discovered this. So thank you!!!!!!

Short and to the point. Thank you. Took less than 10 minutes. I'm very happy to not have to buy a new tv.

Before declaring the IR sensor dead, especially if it is a "Smart TV" unplug the set, wait a minute, and plug it back in. I had the issue with a family member's TV where it stopped responding to the remote and it turned out to be the TV's processor had frozen up.

My ir sensor went out and shortly my power button started intermittent then just quit it's a m147i-a2 would the ir sensor affect the power button (the only button) or would something else be causing problems for both

I got your IR sensor and it was identical to the one I had so thanks. Unfortunately, the new part did not fix my problem of my remotes not working with my Vizio TV. Do you know of any other parts that could be bad with this issue?

I'm assuming this on the back side of the TV. The button controls for my TV are on the right back side of the TV but the manual for the TV says the sensor is on the right front (opposite side). I don't want to take the button control panel off if the sensor isn't on that side. Any advice?

I have an amazingly weird issue. Wall mounted vizio d65x-g4, when turned to the left or front facing won't read the remote. When facing to the right it will. Only happens between 6pm and 9:30PM. I've removed all electronic devices away from the area thinking maybe something is interfering with it but still happens. Swapped out IR sensor and control board and same thing happens on both of them. Removed if from the wall mount and it's fine. Can't find anything that would bridge from the wall mount being connected.

It's not fair I know what to but can't find a sensor for my tv 😠 there are other with the same number on the sensor board but will they work form the same company the number of the TVs is nearly the same

You make it look so easy to remove those tiny connectors, I broke one side (and it had one of those press tabs, still two tiny wires broke) and the side your showing on the IR board side I haven't been able to get off, it doesn't have a press tab but looks like the one shown. Tried a thin driver and thumb nail to push it back but no luck. Is there a trick to it?. This is on a Samsung T240HD IR controller mechanism.

I changed the sensor but it only worked for a few minutes... Could it be another part associated with the sensor?

Tv is a year old. Just out of warranty. Now the ir sensor ( i assume) is bad.
And this was a warranty replaced tv.
Updates have been making the tv slower.
Why does the ir go bad on a 1 year tv. I have never had this issues with anything else.

I just fixed my jvc em32t tv that the remote control stopped to work , I thought my remote was bad, but by doing the camera test found out remote was not the issue then i decided to replace the ir sensor on the board on the tv with a sensor that i had in another board in my scrap and now remote control works on the tv.

It's the Cable from sensor to processor board , I know the tech said he broke the end off of it , it's in the farm as the farm has to come off with the back at the same time ... Has Sound Now But Stuck on store demo now that's not good the watch store demo all day ... lol , he put new processor and power board in it , said he would call for a new cable , but they sent him the same Parts he already replaced it's been over 60 days now still no TV I paid for $1,199,99 not even two months old ... .. . not from a brand store , I have found out it was a refurbished returned Vizio 70 smartcast TV , but has a G-3 back on it so they sent me just a regular smart TV , you can turn it on and it will says Welcome to Vizio Smartcast HD , I got it to go with my new WiFi Google Chromebook it was Working Just Fine until the sound slowly went out ... .. . Just a Smart Vizio 70 TV is $599.00 , it does not have the apps for WiFi to my computer

I wish my piece of shit Vizio had buttons. This thing is broken and I HAVE to replace the IR sensor now because the stupid thing doesn't have any buttons! What a horrible TV!
