ice cube's debut album produced by The Bomb squad is still remain his finest album ..
Big Facts
its the best public enemy album too.
Amerikkkas most wanted. Absolute classic. When the west went to the east ! No doubt, one of my favorite albums !
you are not lying ,right from the first track ,im ready to fight lol
Sir jinx outta l.a produced on that album as well.
They made some monumental tracks..I remember when Rebel Without A Pause came out..We lost our minds
Can confirm this.
I know I did !
Straight sick
I remember the first time I heard the track . Homey in his jeep with woofers picked me up from the airport after the summer with my pops. I was god smacked. Next level shit.
Man thanks to danny brown & peggy for presenting me this, the production on this is unreal. How the hell were people actually doing shit like this in the 80s, unreal.
That's exactly how I got here too. Now I'm addicted to Nation of Millions.
The Bomb Squad is the MOST legendary production team in Hip Hop history. I don't know what else to say...
Incredible joints.
Nuff said lol so innovative, the musical equivalent of those people who build epic statues out of scrap metal.
There needs to be some kind of serious documentary on them producing Nation of Millions...
It takes a nation of millions to hold us back got the craziest beats ever
Extremely underrated production team!
Revolutionary, people just dont understand.
@Goopy Le Grande Exactly, in my opinion & experience, you must grow up to appreciate their talent. The whole PE is for the inteligent people mainly. Now, when i understand every word & know the history and struggles, it's different story. Peace to you brother.
I don't know about underrated, It takes a nation is rated as one of the best music albums of all time by journalists.
@@jonnyboy4508 maybe the album is, hut the production team is definitely underrated.
Don’t Believe The Hype Should had been on the list instead of You Can’t Fade Me . Also I did not know they produce Don’t Be Afraid, but now that I listen to You Can’t Trust It they have similar drum sound and pattern.
why's it sound so fresh in 2023 though! ??
They flipped that Issac Hayes sample for "Black Steel in The Hour of Chaos" from pure funk to somethin soooo menacing!!! 💪🏾💯🔥🔥🔥
One of the best samples remix by far
Bomb Squad is INSANE!!! 🔥🔥🔥
They were the blue print for Hip Hop production excellence for artists and producers that came after them point blank. Bomb Squad forever B💪
TRUE !
The Bomb Squad was the only hip hop producers that can put together the flyest songs using 12 different samples in one song....its Phenomenal ! Ask Public Enemy, Ice Cube, 3rd Bass, Aaron Hall, Da Lench Mob, Young Black Teenagers, Terminator X (Valley Of The Jeep Beats) & Son Of Berzerk !....💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 👆 Yes!!!
@@Auntkekebaby 💯🤓🤓🤓🤓 I still love H.E.R.....What in talking about is Hip Hop.....
1. The entire Fear of a Black Planet Album
Damn it's crazy, I would've never thought they did "Don't Be Afraid" from the movie "Juice" featuring Aaron Hall🤯
Bro... 😲🤯 and then u listen to those hard ass drums and it starts to make some sense! 💯
@@DrematikRZN Yep, that's so true 😁
One of my all time FAVES!!!!
Both Aaron and The Bomb Squad are from our hometown of Roosevelt Long Island
The drums on don't be afraid are the same on can't truss it
rebel with out a pause is a iconic hip hop beat
This took me back to when Hip-Hop was original.....and know one had the same name.
rebel w/o a pause gets me sooooo fkn hyped i luv it 4:17
Right me too lol
I used to be like 4 years old going crazy to that shit 😂
Saw them in the UK at rock city nottingham. Never forget.
I used to remember all the lyrics.
That steppin' to the am & night of the living baseheads beats are legendary.. Check that ALL these beats are legendary!
1987! Public Enemy number#1 drops, the beat was sooo hard , eery , hypnotizing , funky and unorthodox! Bomb Squad change the beat game FOREVER!!!!! SALUTE
Props for including 'Don't Be Afraid' by Aaron Hall. People seem to forget that they also did some production on the R&B tip. Bel Biv DeVoe's first album. Vanessa Williams 'The Right Stuff'.
Damn, didn't know they did that Aaron Hall joint. Shit still bangs, so does Black Steel.
The Bomb Squad are a top tier production team as there are beats that are not even on this great list that are stellar as well...Thanks for posting!
THEY WERE THE REAL TRACK MASTERS
My top 5 Bomb Squad joints
1. BROTHAS GONNA WORK IT OUT.
2. BUCK WILDIN'.
3. TERRORDOME.
4. MY UZI WEIGHS A TON.
5. BURN HOLLYWOOD BURN.
NUFF SAID.
Not sure how Terrordome and Burn Hollywood Burn didn't make this list!!
What can I say about The Bomb Squad - No One could touch them ( in my eyes ) in the late 80's and early 90's, only Marly Marl was on their level, all other producers tried to copy and was inspired by them - Even Dr Dre.. The sounds was so Funky, Wild and Rebellious - Love it forever. Peace and Love to Public Enemy / The Bomb Squad.
Ced Gee= ULTRA MAGNETIC M.Cs
Eric B producing him and Rakims albums. Hes definitely an underated producer!!
@@edbaiza7757 rakim produced most of those albums
Just said this in another comment. You can hear their influence blatantly on all Dre's early production, even when Dre got into the synths and funk sampling, the style of production was HEAVY Bomb Squad! They also made some insane Cube beats that should have made this list too!
1988 - 1992 was their peak years
Man this is a great reminder they had some BANGERS
So underrated
That 3rd bass on there tho🔥
Much love to the Shocklee Bros!!!
& eric sadler.
They, and public enemy, never recovered from losing Eric Sadler. They lost him in 1990 and that was the last year PE was a dominant group in hip hop.
Yeah, Eric Sadler was a part of it too. He should in fairness be mentioned when that group of producers gets discussed.
all them beats are timeless
I always imagined Kane killing that Steppin To The A.M beat!!
This is my favorite production team, all of their beats go hard!
This is production on another level. The beats with Chuck D and Flav's vocals took hip hop to the masses before the masses were even ready!!!! The way they cut the sample in Rebel and used that snare to drive the track is still unbelievable, insane!!!!
I know it’s only 10 but ‘ it was the moment I feared ‘ is one of my favorite bond squad beats.
Might be the most slept on of all time. Their Power beats forced hiphop forward into the Golden era. Incomparable.
The sound of dystopian, city chaos. Legends! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You need a top 50 for these legends!
Facts 💯
I'm from the south, I remember the first time I heard Can't Trust It, it was during Def Comedy Jam. When the beat dropped, me and my cousin looked at each other with the stank face and then laughed. That was incredible. I will never forget that moment.
DAMN IT! DAMN IT! DAMN IT! This is the list I've been PRAYING for!! Let's get busy FORREAL!!! As for the list, RWAP should have been #1 IMO. That is their signature beat right there.
Should’ve been a way better list than this one. Only one beat from the Ice Cube and Bomb Squad era is crazy
I feel u, but there are actually two on the list.
Whos the Mack and The Ni@#a Ya Love To Hate is my Favorites and overlooked Bomb Squad production!!!
Eric Sadler is the truth......
Damn had no idea they did the 3rd bass, guy and ice cube and nwa joints. Damn these boys versatile!!!
LEGENDARY.
The Bomb Squad = Kings of the Emu Sp-1200
Never knew they did Don’t Be Afraid. One of my favorites
Big ups to beat grade for the content provided ✅
The best hip hop sample producers of all time.. 🔥
Ladies and gentlemen Dr. Dre’s secret role models ! He pretty much remade their entire catalog challenge me in the comments and I’ll prove it ! Dre has never publicly went out of his way to acknowledge how inspired he has been by The Bomb Squad !
If you read old magazine articles from back then, he admits he was heavily influenced by the bomb squad, specifically Eric Sadler. You can hear the blatant influence in straight outta Compton & 100 miles and runnin.
There is no way that Rebel Without A Pause is #5!!!
This must have been put together by people who weren't listing to hop hop before Rebel came out. When it was put on the radio, it destroyed everything else and for that reason deserves the no.1 spot. I remember playing the recording from pirate radio I made on loop for days and days.
Didn't know they did that Aaron Hall joint
DONT BE AFRAID🔥🔥🔥 my dad used to bang this in his Astro van it has two 15s….
Fight the power is so fucking dope, LEGENDARY!
Yes.
Ps I just bought Slick Rick first album last week and I saw the bomb squad and jmj listed on a few production credits.
The first super producers!
One of the first beats that got break dancing started 💪🏾
Hank and Keith Shocklee Carl Ridenhour aka Chuck D and Eric Vietnam Saddler.
this is rap classic 👌🙏✌☝️🔝👊🔥💣👏
Night Of The Living Baseheads is in my opinion the baddest Hip-Hop beat ever.
"don't be afraid" and "can't trust it" have very similar samples.
Didn't know they did dont be afraid 🔥 Rebel without a pause my fav but its hard to choose.
Dope..
A lot of people don't know Can't trust it by Public Enemy and Aaron hall Don't be afraid is the same beat.....
brothers gonna work it out should of been there
My favorite production team!!! How bout LL COOL J's "NITRO" and "IT GET'S NO ROUGHER". True Mathematics "FOR THE MONEY"
Rebel Without a Pause is #1.....Game Over!!!!!
Damn that don’t be afraid baeeeby got me lol
#7 thank you for my new ring tone.
Big up the bomb squad black Steel in the hour of chaos. Song still gives me the chills
America's most wanted was a game changer. HE Leveled up the whole game. He made Dr. Dre and NWA look old and frumpy. And the jacking fir beats demolished what was left of the NWA, ICE Cube beef. He destroyed his old crew they never put out anything close to the relevance to ICE Cubes following albums.
Tha 💣 bomb....
This collection is missing Doug E Fresh's "On The Strength" That beat still gets me open!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Public Enemy number 1! Welcome to the Terrordome could have easily been number 1…..
Know the Ledge - Eric B & Rakim, Keep on Risin - Doug E Fresh, BBD I Thought it was Me - Bell Biv Devoe, Who's the Mack - Ice Cube, For the Lover in You - True Mathematics, Get the Fuck Outta Dodge - Public Enemy, and Change the Style - Son of Bazerk
They made know the ledge?? And its not on this list?????
I don’t think the Bomb Squad did “Can’t Truss It”. By that time Imperial Minds was doing PE’s production. I could be wrong
Yeah it was the Imperial Grand Ministers of Funk.
They still produced on that album and other P.E. Albums. Chuck D is a member of the bomb squad under the name Carl Ryder ..that’s his bomb squad alias
Imperial Grand Ministers Of Funk
According to the official PE book (Don't Rhyme For the Sake of Riddlin') that was just a name, it was a credit thing it seems to me.
The 10th bumped by P Diddy..... ✌️😎✌️💯
👍👍👍
🤫So that's where the "3 in the Morning" beat came from by UGK
Sobb Story, The Moment I Feared and Louder Than A Bomb should have been on this list
The 7th is LOUD... PE FOR EVA..
✌️😎✌️💯
Fight the Power is Goated.
OH SHT
Pictured Keith Shocklee, Mitchell Gibson and Krandel Newton The Original Spectrum City at the Roosevelt Youth Center Roosevelt New York our hometown
Don’t Be Afraid is a New Jack Swing Classic.
shoutout long island. bomb squad underrated af
Where's the BellBivDevoe beats?
✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
🏁
Public Enemy #1 10 noway should be ìn top 5
Amerikkkas Most & Takes a Nation are tattooed on my brain.
Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt
Uhh ... Poison didn't make the list?
rebel without a pause imo is prob their best beat, the bass bumps if yall got subs
Nah Bomb Squad got a mean catalog
where are they now ?
I would have put Amerikkka's most wanted on there
Same just heard it again and it hits hard with the car speakers
Anybody know what the woman is saying after the guy says, “let me hear you say it?”
this should only be played extremely loud...screw my neighbors with their reggaeton
No Welcome to the Terrordome, come on man
Fight the power is just emmense ENERGY!!!! CHUCK D WAS PERFECT!!!!
Only one track from Fear of a Black Planet? Come on now
