Don't forget, after you select a purple FX channel (FX A, for example), make sure that the main fader is also turned up before turning channel faders up.

    Hey Joe!
These vids are awesome! I got my StudioLive III 32 last spring and have been loving it, but you have clarified a bunch of things I have been meaning to figure out. I am stoked to work with it now to configure it to work better in my workflow. Thank you for saving me a bunch of time!
    Thanks again!

Hi I just got my Personus 32 SC. It's 2 years old and has been in a church since new. When I push the FX A or FX B, the display shows the Stereo Digital delay and the Digital Reverb. And, A lot of the sliders move. Problem is they are not working. IE; NO ECHO or Reverb added to the sound. It did work one or 2 times but something is not right! Can you help me with this. Is their a master reset or ? Please let me know , thanks , Daniel

Can you add reverb to a delay? It is strange to hear an input with nice reverb, but with dry delays... The delays should have also the reverb effect. But I ain't got the option to send my delay to my reverb.

Joe, LOVE this set of videos. Just bought the mixer and I like it, but its a bit daunting. A question: Do you have you mixer sending the main out to studio monitors? or are you using the monitor out to your monitors? I am having a hard time getting any effects on a channel and I am just wondering if I am doing something wrong.

I had the same problem. He doesn't tell us that you have to set up the effect return(s). I've yet to find a good video showing how to do it, but this video is somewhat helpful...

@@2inspirestarsproduction8 it's a rather long tedious process to set this up to actually record the FX Chanel's to the DAW...apart from routing the FX return to a Sub A Fader..it then has to get placed into Chanel's outputting back from I/I set up (I used 41/42 and named this as FX A Saw in Studio One...then you can use the Wet Signal..and a Dry signal together...it also eliminated the FX also being heard whilst listening to already recorded material to allow you to have a better performance on the vox or guitar...and FULL control...whilst using these FX to record...I don't think Presonus designed this to actually be a useful function...Hope someone reads this and gets it re implemented on a future update.

You probably don't have the FX Returns turned up. There are two "master" faders for FX. It's a little confusing, but you have to have BOTH turned up to hear it.

I got it now...press fix A, select say digital delay AND raise the master volume before raising some channels where the effect is needed. Now, where are the 4 returns of FX so that I can control the amount of effect to go to individual channels...in other words, if I bring these four down all the way, then net effect is like a mute all 4 lol.

Nice mixer, I’ve got the old 16.4.2 FireWire...I’m loosing my sanity trying to figure out the routing for using external hardware on already recorded tracks (in studio one) which Id like to print to new tracks using the effects of the external hardware (it CANT be as complicated as I’m making it). If you were to make a video showing both the hardware and software routing, you would be responsible for saving the sanity of a poor dude in Iowa LOL

    • @HomeStudioCorner

Joe Gilder Music Thanks for responding Joe!!! I actually got it figured out (after 6 hours of pushing buttons and moving cords LOL). The trick was routing in universal control (I often wondered what purpose it served hahaha). I chalk it up to a lesson well learned, very rewarding :-) :-) :-)

With all due respect, I've watched several of your videos and learned some cool stuff, but this video lacked a lot of information. You didn't provide any details about how you got to wherever you were going ... I'm not blaming you, but presonus dropped the ball with the FX ! It shouldn't be so difficult to get them to work, I usually just stumble across how to get to them. I wish you or presonus would make an extremely simple video with more detail or instructions on how to use them. You should include each mode (page or menu) you're in before you start pushing buttons. It would really help. Thanks!
