I think Crazyhead, Terrorvision & New Model Army were most underrated bands in UK; Stranglers had a fair bit of 'success'? - but there's probably other groups we never even heard of.. ; )
Both the Stranglers and Wire were old skool punk bands whose musical achievement kept them going as well are their tenacity. How odd in retrospect that this now reminds me of Wire's "Eardrum Buzz" which is from only two years earlier!

actually as a dedicated stranglers fan i pretty much hated this stuff but it is a catchy tune but it was like "Sugar Sugar" a song you couldnt forget no matter hard you try. Actually now i can listen to this and enjoy certain aspects of the song ...Just wondering is the prison outfits and "nice in Nice" song a piss take of when they all got locked up when touring france because they got blamed for the students smashing all the windows in the university or something....incitement through music. punk days?
This was a total piss take. They were jailed for inciting a riot between students. It was just an excuse, the students wanted to riot anyway and this was their chance. Hence the prison clothes
