      Probably not enough runs for the timed test to be meaningful... Matt Beer is a top level elite racer no doubt, just think you'd need like 5+ runs per bike after getting the setup dialed for it to be meaningful. I just ignored the timed part of the reviews.

      @@ShitStefanShoots what I mean is that PB's methodology for timed runs isn't sufficient to draw conclusions for racing, not enough runs and no track variety. Matt Beer (again, elite DH/enduro racer, amazing rider) found the Capra faster on a 2min track at Sun Peaks over the course of a handful of runs.

      @@tygastfield613 I did, I'm very happy with it actually, there are some issues they pointed out and the shifter cable rattles a bit in the frame (I fixed that by getting axs bc I broke my derailieur), it's brilliant on the steeps and rough stuff, I'd only say I don't like that the suspention gets a bit rough on hard breaking, otherwise the bike is brilliant, it's even quieter (idler) and a better climber than I expected, I did switch to lower rise carbon handlebars bc I bent mine (same crash as the derailieur) and I have to say, it made the bike more enjoyable for me, as well as that I might think about changing the wheelset, for a carbon one just because I preffer the feel of carbon wheels but that's up to prefference, in general the bike is brilliant, handles bike parks more than well enough and a friend of mine who's one of the best Junior riders in Europe (2nd in Maribor was his best placement) even compared it to his DH bike and said how impressed he is with it, sorry for the long rant, hope this helps you

      @@januhelj3796 thank you for the response. As far as the suspension getting stiffer under breaking, this is my biggest concern. Can you expand on this at all? Do you notice it more on steep slower sections or on faster flat out sections? Also, isn’t really noticeable or just a minor thing?

      @@tygastfield613 well it is noticable, but imo it isn't a bad thing, it forced me to improove my braking skills and learn when and how to break better, but it isn't very noticable anyways, it mostly happens on very rough steep stuff, but it isn't very bad, the only time I'd say I would have wanted to change it is when I was riding a VERY steep and very rocky trail in my area and around the end the suspention heated up so it got slightly uncomfortable but still, nothing too bad imo, deffo a minor thing, I saddly do not live in the United states but Slovenia, in Europe, I would like to add that I put a megneg on the shock because of the riding I do, most of the time I don't need it, but on big hits like the Big daddy in Bike Park Kranjska gora (a clip is on yt, a massive drop in a bikepark in Slovenia, Gabriel Wibmer rode in the bikepark) the megneg saved my life, if you got any other questions, I'd love to answer them

    Will this model yt kappra snap on the chain stays like the old model carbon or alloy made no difference they all broke in same place seen 5 broken in a yr all on the chain stays and same spot yet they won't warranty it 🤔 clearly its a design issue of the frame but getting it warrantied is a nightmare as they won't hear there frame is junk and not fit for purpose

    How would the Transition Sentinel compare to the Spire? Would you do enduro racing with the Sentinel?

    • @LastAphelion
      @LastAphelion Před rokem

      From seeing lots of Sent vs Spire videos the takeaway is that the Sent. will have to pick lines a little bit more around chunkier stuff rather than smashing through everything mindlessly like the Spire. People that don't have enough downhill are more happy with the shorter Sent., while everyone else who does have a place to let it shine has said that they felt like there was no trade off with going Spire over the Sent. I've seen the Sent. be called a mini enduro and seen mention of some who race enduro on it, I've been curious myself to see how they set theirs up. I've read about a 170 upforked Sent. (and a Cascade link can add 15mm on the rear to 165mm) that works well though still won't be as plowy as the Spire obviously. After months of research and digging I'm still on the fence myself about picking one or the other lol
