  • Hanapepe. This town has gone through so much changes of the years. I wanted to get some history saved. I grew up in this town. Buildings used to lean on the power lines. Drunk sailors used to walk through the town on their way to their ships. I learned how to surf here. I learned how to play base ball here. My roots grow here.

So beautiful!!! We spent an evening there 5 years ago during an "Art Night" - met some fantastic people and their beautiful shops (we order from Aloha Spice Company regularly!). Looking forward to returning on our next trip!!

The history of this town is fascinating. I've visited a couple of times but didn't get a chance to really explore it and get a feel of its local spirit. I'm not sure if you felt blessed to have grown up in such a place, as small town life is usually not appreciated by the youth, only when you've left it and realize what a blessing it was.

My hometown! Thanks so much for posting this, it is much appreciated. I don't live there anymore but this brings back great memories, and having a unique aerial view of the town's beauty is icing on the cake. I hope you don't mind if I share the video. Mahalo!

We’re all kind of isolated. Most small businesses probably won’t make through the year. But the island has never been greener or cleaner. Glad you enjoyed the video.
