    We all know the easy method of palette creation in PixInsight, ChannelCombination. We can do so much better! Here are some various tools and scripts to elevate your initial palette to springboard your image.
    This will be the first video in a series talking about color and manipulating it within pixinsight.
    What palettes do you use? Which ones don't you like? Let's be open to how we present our data we worked so hard to gather and process to the world!

    Thanks for the video, lovely tools indeed! I may have missed it but what's the DSO name you're using in your examples?

    Foraxx palette seems to have the best tones

      Some nebula foraxx works wonders on. Others you will find it won't. Best to have all the different tools, but like I said in the video, even if I dont use Foraxx for the nebula I always run the script just to get good stars. I didnt mention it but usually the stars come out good enough SPCC can even be ran on them.

      @@setiv2 Yes agreed there are times I avoid using the foraxx image but always use the stars but when Foraxx works it does so really well

      This was one of the best Foraxx images I have done so far. It just worked so well for this objcet.

    Did you perform all of these combinations with linear data? Thank you

    • @setiv2
      @setiv2  Před 4 měsíci

      All 3 channels nonlinear. It wes a quick stretch for the video. They were graxpert -> blurx -> starx -> noisex -> stf mapped to histogramtransform. Also, Foraxx specifically, requires non linear starless images.

    Possibly a good video, but the background music makes it difficult to follow the content, especially for those who don't speak English as their first language.

      Thats great feedback! I will lower the volume and find some new audio

      @@setiv2 It's best to do without the background music completely. This only distracts from the interesting topic
