I honestly don't understand how Chris can write legit top tier music for both Currents AND Shadow of Intent. Dude is a mad scientist 👨🔬. He must be writing riffs all day everyday. Chris, your a mad lad! And that solo at 2:14... it doesn't overstay it's welcome with unnecessary shred and every note has it's purpose. Those are alway's the best solo's and show's signs of a mature guitarist that know's what he is doing. It does it's job and that's to be the melodic cherry on top of this ear candy... chefs kiss. 👨🍳🎸
That dude's on another level. Chris Wiseman, Daniel Gailey, Josh Middleton. The three best guitarists in metalcore, imo.
Edit: I've seen Currents at least twice now. I saw them at a tiny venue in 2018. Chris absolutely 100% nailed the hard part in Apnea. It was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in my life.

Listened to the album about 10 times now and this song might be my favorite. The vocals, riffs, breakdowns and the solo that comes in towards the end is just bananas. Wow.

Oh, and that solo was PERFECTLY integrated.

My god, Chris Wiseman is a damn music prodigy. Got him to sign my pick at a Shadow of Intent concert last month, and it's my most prized possession now.
Over a year later and I still can't enough of this song. It's snuck into my top 5 of all time.
My favorite on the album; if I had to pick one. The "architects" like ending was sensational. 10/10 track / album.

This band is so special too me. I relate to the music and lyrics more then any other band or musician. This album is a masterpiece, it's been a long two years of waiting but it's here!! My only real negative about the album is the mix is little off. It needs a better mix. Other then that I love this album and this is my AOTY, like I knew it would be, with Invent Animate right behind. Thank you Currents, always making the soundtrack too my life!!

@@MrVhek dunno, I didn't like Nolly's mix on TWIE at all I prefer Jeff Dunne's mix on this one over it. However, my favourite mix has still to be on TPIFS followed by ILTDI by Buster Odeholm.
