Had a similar thing happen to me before the marathon I ran this year. 3 weeks out I was barely training because I was so overworked that I was nearly collapsing on the track. 10 days out I got a virus infection and was knocked into the bed for 4-5 days. I went out and ran it anyway. 4:06 this year. Last year I ran a 3:42. Shit happens. The important thing is it got done. Congrats Jeff. I know how hard this was!
