We loved our CFMoto. But just sold it. Friends had a razor and we bought that. Just checking all the rides out…. 😅. We had zero issues with our CFMoto. I liked that it was roomier…. We had it so decked out. …. This is a super fun video.

Thanks for checking out the video. This was the first "REAL" trail ride on our local tails in the 2022 CFMOTO Z-Force 950 HO EX. I hope you enjoy the video. It was a good ride because there was a large mix of machines to compare the Z-Force to. This way you can see how it performs side by side with other machines in the #TeamAJP crew. I have the 22' 950 ho ex also. The ecu tune and stage 3 trail kit and 32" tires really make a difference. I ride Windrock all the time. I'm not easy on mine at all. It goes about everywhere I point it. We ride with about every kinda machine. I don't have a problem going anywhere anywhere other machines go!!!!
How hard of trails are you doing with it at windrock?

I just bought one same color last weekend! Haven’t taken it out yet but going around the block and hitting a couple donuts in the snow was so fun!
I love the reaction and evaluation of people seeing these 950's for the 1st time. 3 1/2 years and almost 6k miles in with mine and it has all its original time item parts still on it except for the factory belt (and an expensive set of elkas :). Not one issue with mine.....and I purchased the very 1st one sold in North America. Not a huge deal for some....but to me its a big deal. We call ours the "Red Barchetta"....something I know you guys can fully relate to.
Those Honda Talon s sound badass and I like that they have the DCT transmission.
Ya, they are awesome machines. I love the transmission in them too. They sounds great bouncing the limited in true Honda fashion.

I don't have any sound like that in my 20.21. And I'm 22 hundred miles of trails with no problems yet. I'm hard on it. But not all the time. I take good care of it. Maintenance wise. I have 32 on it for 2000 of the 22 hundred miles. I love my 950 man. It has all the aftermarket whistles and bells on it. With a pumping system. Thanks for the video. Stay safe and God bless 🙏

There is a service bulletin on the shock noise. the plastic collar on the rear shock springs can rub. There are new parts to fix it under warranty.

Nice video ,I have the ho ex now with 2400 miles , he the original 950 and had over 3500 miles on it , reliable is second to nothing, I feel that’s more comfortable in the cab than the rzr xp 1000 , power is about the same , the low range speed limiter does suck , I got the msc tune soon as it came out , now it’s awesome , I run both sway bars unhooked and it rides great , I have played with my shocks some to . Keep up the good work.

The one that gets me out there riding , I have three now all bought used , Rzr 900 , wildcat 700 , Yamaha rhino , all do the job I’ve had problems with all of them , that’s just the sxs life , play hard fix and repeat.
@user-me3un4xt9c whatever buggy fits the type of terrain you ride and most of all, your budget, is the buggy to get. My daughter just started university so I'm riding a Maverick 1000r... lol

I have a 2019 Wolverine X2 and it's great for my trails in southeast ohio. But I would love to be able either a KRX or a Talon.
Krx! Best machine I’ve ever had! The guy in the talon needs to learn to use manual so it doesn’t change gears on hills and in mud holes and places like that.
When I did the hill climb, I had shut the 4 wheel off prior for some reason. Lol.
I was impressed with the CFMOTO it got the job done . Needs MSC tune and clutch kit . Maybe 32” tires
We were all happy with the performance too. ECU is at MSC as we speak. Clutching will be coming with ECU. 32’s are already mounted and ready!
Get that thing a good looking cage that extends all the way back and wrap it blue. Call it the blue beetle.
The cf has some potential.
We need to give it a name. I do want to do a cage. I think it would really take the machine to the next level visually and safety too of course.

I have the four seater KRX and it is an absolute beast ride quality top notch would not traded in for anything else. I eventually would like to do the supercharger kit on it.
Rumor has it Kawasaki is releasing a4 cylinder supercharged KRX next season. If they release one in a 4 seater I might have to get one, lol. I too love the KRX.

Awesome ride guys. I have to say I was biased in the beginning against a "Chinese" machine, like a lot of people I believe. BUT, after talking to multiple people here that have the sxs's and quads by CF, they hardly ever give me a bad opinion on the machine. So, I have put aside my biased opinion and from what I am seeing, it hangs with the rest just fine. I am not brand loyal by any means. Sure I favor my Killa-saki but that is just a personal preference for my type of riding. Any machine that proves itself reliable and capable is a good machine in my eyes. The CF is starting to make it into that category. It will be cool to see where you go with this thing! Keep them coming Julian!
I've been waiting for this!!! Awesome video! Great to see you at the show in Toronto a few weeks ago. Even though I have a 2023 zforce ho ex I'd still say my favorite would be the Talon. I had the chance to get the last triple black 1000x that was sent up from south Carolina but 35k out the door was to steep. I think about it every day though. Lol. Keep em coming and take care.

I bought my talon 1000x used, and I was having a hard time finding a new one. Had I not found this for the price I did, it would have been the trail edition krx for sure. There's lots more videos of my talon on my channel Barely making it adventures.
Currently have an Rmax 2 seater, I think it's the perfect all around machine. I do miss the power and the ride of the turbo xp sometimes though. I dig the content.
There are so many upgrades for the z950 it's crazy. If you got the cash you can do five zero in upgrades just to start. Somethings like clutch need upgrading, elka shocks, tune, new front and rear a arms and some 35's to start and windshield for sure. Great video enjoyed the entire 2 hrs.
ECU tune and clutching are on the way from #TeamMSC I've also got 32's mounted already. Got some HD rear radius rods and toe links. Gonna do a-arms too. The shocks I'll hold off on for now. Wanna address the other stuff first.

I had a 86 crx , great winter beater. It did great reverse donuts. If you need to see more Canams I know a guy lol. Great video 👍👍
lol, not sure why CRX slipped out when I was saying KRX, I blame the Talon and all my V Tec jokes... As for having another can-am guy, we need to get out on a ride again.
I would weld straight bars at the bends of the A-pillar’s to triangulate the windshield posts. Those elbows are a bending spot if you land on the roof, camera girl is like a rabbit in the woods … sliding down that steep hill with camera in hand, great job on her part.
Completely agree not enough teryx content people underestimate the machine. I was one of those people I said it was an old man sxs and it just wasn't "sporty" looking. Well, I bought one, it's a good machine and it is a reliable machine i have 2000 miles on it and just replaced the belt. Which was my fault riding in high loaded down should have been in low.

Even tho allot of people bash cfmoto you have to admit it they have come along way since they first started out, my 2023 800xc cforce has 1600km and have not had one issue with it (knock on wood) went to two mud runs and was able to keep up with the xmr’s

I've been anticipating this video Julian. I wanted to chime in here at the 25 min. mark and say my z950 doesn't make that noise you think may be the shocks. I've been on some rough terrain and haven't heard that. OK just wanted to say that in case I forget.... On With The Show! Awesome content!
Thanks man! Glad you are enjoying so far. I've spoken to many people about it. Supposedly it was common on a lot of the earlier 2022 machines and has been improved since. It is the rear springs rubbing on the plastic collars I believe. It causes a bit of bind and that's the sound it makes. It's nothing serious.

Hey man, a few people have mentioned that. I sent my ECU off to #TeamMSC and they are tuning it and removing all the limiters.

Big fan of the krx for trail riding, it does get with it pretty decent with the clutch weights and tuning, would love a x3 RR for playing though, hard to beat that 3cyl turbo.

I have the 2021 CFMOTO 600 I know it's not a SxS but have over 2000 miles and have had no problems the only thing I had to adjust the gear selector and my reverse lights don't work but I'm not sure If they ever did. Had way over a 1000 miles on it before even notice. With that said I was skeptical after owning many other name brands and really have no complaints Even still on the original drive belt. I have upgraded quite a few things But holding up well 3 years later.👍

For half the price of a "name brand" machine, this appears to be far better than half the machine. Is it a rzr? A KRX? A Can Am? No....but they dont pretend to be either and you could buy a little more than two of them for the price of one of those more well known names!

I'm from Texas CFMOTO stock tires do great in mud that's what we mainly do in Texas mine has never smoked the belt
I have same machine. Rng has a video on pushing a pin out for that limiter i've put clutch kit,tune,32 roxvillas and made my own cage I think they get you on parts headlights are 1k each and no aftermarket axles 300$ on factory ones 1 rear brake caliper is 400$ crazy just got back from rush off road did good with 1 front axle broke. great video again guys love watching
Great video as usual! You know what's funny, I have never rode any other sxs other than the zforce 800 ex I had. The 950 rides like a cadillac compared to the 800, for that I'm very happy. I better not try another sxs or I might hate my 950 LOL. I do believe the ride doesn't compare, I just better not find out. My budget isn't about comfort 🤣🤣 These trails you ride here in this video is about as rough as I go. I'm happy just the same, love this lifestyle. Watching some of the rides you guys do is a blast! Looks like a good bunch of guys and gals and that's half the fun right there!
We are super lucky to have some great private trails to ride and even luckier to have such an awesome riding crew. As for the ride quality, it’s hard to compare the cfmoto’s to a machine that costs twice as much. Suspension is literally one of the most expensive parts of these machines. It’s one of the ways they make their machines so competitively priced. The most important thing is to like and enjoy what you have man. I’ve always been a big believer in that way of thinking. If you are out riding then you are winning!

Was very happy seeing you put the z force to work. I agree with a lot of what was said about the machine. I have the stage three tune and clutch kit in it made a big difference on performances. I also put the tender springs on it and I think that help too. Looking forward too seeing more videos on it and other people opinions on it. Glad too see the camera girl back.

I'm only about halfway through the video, but I like the idea of slip-seating with Corny and others driving your machine and getting some different. You can really only compare it to Battle Wagon, but Corny will be comparing it to his Kawi, etc... not exactly scientific but the feedback is a bit more reliable that way I think
A good name for the CF Moto would be The Great Pumpkin! I'd love to see how my 50-inch Maverick Trail in 28-inch 370s would do on those trails.
Again. Another good video. Your made to do this!! The Z force is definitely a different machine, becoming more popular, i hope it holds up for you.
Tell that guy in the talon . When he gets stuck like that down at the bottom of that tree . Put it in manual mode and 2nd gear and it will continue to spin and go. It was trying to shift to fast so it was pulling power away and that’s why you seen what you thought was it trying to stall .
The Rhino axles are horrible for popping out, you have to get that wheel in the air so you can turn it, then it pops right back in. The fix is to get a thin rubber O-ring, put it in the clip groove, then put the clip in on top of the O-ring and pop the axle in, it won't pop out again. My daughter has a 2017 Trail, that I put the Super Atv long travel kit on, it came with Rhino axles and I had the same issue. After adding the O-ring she has been riding it for 3 years now without it popping out. I know you like to down on the Cats, but the 2017 Trail, and my 2020 XX have been very reliable machines.

For me it seemed ok, but for similar cost , I think you can get a used mainstream SXS with a lot of upgrades already installed. Just my preference.
I agree. I can't see someone buying a zforce and spending another five grand in upgrades.
I thought the same thing initially and after talking to a lot of people I guess I’m wrong. The aftermarket support is growing. Often the biggest factor holding people back is entry cost. So if you can initial purchase of the machine more attainable from a finance perspective then more ppl can afford it. Once they have it they find ways to scrounge together a couple thousand bucks over the year to throw some upgrades on them. Regardless of what you ride you want to make it yours and that always requires at least a few changes or modifications. I don’t totally disagree with your opinion but a few months back I probably would have agreed.
It’s a totally valid point and I’d still recommend certain people go that route. If your are mechanically skilled it opens a lot of doors by dropping ownership/operating expenses. To some a brand new machine they can take care of from day one is worth the premium. Tons of ways to look at it. A lot more people than you think are afraid of buying used Offroad machines.

i agree, if you’re going used, you definitely need to be able to turn some wrenches. I went used on mine, and it had almost 12k miles on it. But I also knew and trusted its history..and I always swap the the 3 B’s (bearings,bushings, ball joints) on a used machine right out of the gate.
Best I can tell it still has the original engine
brother this is my 2nd time watching this video one of the very first of yours i found when researching cfmoto its probably the video that actualy made me go put hands on one i have a Kubota outdoor equipment dealer that sales cfmoto about 4 miles from home so i had been passing by them a while so i went and they actualy have a short trail out back where they let you test drive i first drove a 2024 trail and it was ok untill i drove the 950 ho sport and it had more room and a smother ride i have mentioned before i had a stroke a about 10 years back and lost use of left arm. and leg isnt much good. and a bad back lol. so any way ease of entry and ride are verry important to me and the first attraction was price being forced into retirement at 49 years old my disability is quite small . i was new to sxs had 4-wheeler fever back when my kids were young. we rode polairis at that time i had never heard of cfmoto when i first started looking into sxs about a year ago but i really liked the 95 0 ho sport but the segway villain had really caught my eye and looking on you tube they clamed a soft ride so i wanted to go put hands on one before pulling the trigger on the zforce. and i was impressed with the look of the villain but when i got in it i never started it up it was that much harder to get in and out of now that may be completely opposite for others but with my disability the 950 ho just fits me and im 6-2 280 lb but i can step in with my good leg and slide on the seat and the door opening is large enough i can throw my bad leg in. it wont bend much and this was a problem for most others i tried and i bout tried them all but ended up with the 950 in a 2023 left over and got a good markdown and all i can say is so far we love it and when i here anyone bad mouthing them as cheap made. i let them know that in the past 3 months we have rescued my son and his wife 2 times off the trail and taken him to camp to get truck and trailer because the Can Am Mavrick that cost 2x the price BROKE DOWN . thanks again for the reviews it surrly showed me they Zforce was capable of doing anything i was up to these days but Of Course now the harder the trail gets the better i like it lol.
Awesome video! The CFmoto did wayyyy better than I would have expected. A lot of really good info here and the different perspectives are great. I'm surprised this was the first time you've driven the KRX?? That KRX seems like it should be given a good hard look, even for this Can-Am guy. LOL

I had the same weird noise in my 23. It was a rear sway bar bushing. Over time it just went away and never came back.

Couple of things. Corny complaining how jerky the clutch was. No wonder bud, you smoked the belt. Did the same a couple years ago to my Ranger. Jerky as hell after that until I replaced the belt.Smoked the belt, a comment you won’t here from Yamaha or the Talon lol. Also nice to see the Talon and a couple quads with you. Nice to see camera girl back though I got a chuckle when you called her your girlfriend. You have a lot of upgrades on the CFMoto so I’m not sure how it would perform without them. Ya, I know. Longer than it should have taken but I’m slowly getting caught up. Really hoping to be caught up and current by the new year. It’s been a hectic year for me. Hard to balance it all. As for the mods, I can’t wait to get everything installed and then really test out the machine!
Normal mode is like crawl mode in other models by the way. Sport mode is alittle jerky

It’s great to finally see you out with that ufo I mean zforce 950 lol they are great machines yes they may not be as good out the box as say the bigger names but they are getting there and are a great spot to start if your on a budget. I finally broke my 2021 zforce 800 after my last ride got some work to do this winter nothing major but still costing me money lol stay safe out there and have fun and remember adventures are always waiting!
Now this is the type of riding I like to see just a little deeper but yea this some good riding.
The one thing that is taking away from the ride quality is the rear shock positioning. There tilted forward so the shocks can’t use there full travel and do there job efficiently. This might be because the manufacturer wanted to design it better with out a rear sway bar and limit travel for axle problems like over extending the cv axles. with also keeping the shocks from bottoming out if you jump it. Hopefully some one will come up with an upgrade for that because it’s also causing the noise you hear.
Hey Julian, just finished watching and looks like a blast and it didn't do too bad. I have the 800EX and what I did to improve the ride is set all the rebound and compression adjustments to fast, the turn them back one click. Also I removed the sway bar and run between 6 and 8 psi. Try that and see if it's helps.
My favorite is my 2023 Turbo R ultimate- love the low gear n rock mode that’s money -Crawls great and the ride is plush- Great video man glad your wife wants a 4 seater lol 😂. For the budget it gets you out to explore the trails - Love the drive other folks machines - that’s cool on the different views- Well at least you can sell the rzr n cfmoto for a nice down payment on the 4 seater , can’t wait see that krx - Happy wife Happy life man 😂

I have the 22 zforce HO EX orange just like yours you are testing we just got back from Pioneer Tennessee at ride royal blue and I couldn’t ask for a better machine for the money I believe about a 2 inch lift would be great for the ridding that we’re are doing I agree with the low gear. I will be getting that deleted from MSC. The video was great does everything the rest of them can do no problem.

I think you might have to much air in the tires of the 950 . Nine pounds is a better ride . 32s help a lot to. Takes the shock out of it.
Ya, I think I had around 12psi in the tires. I've got the 32's mounted and ready for a test ride as soon as I get my ECU and clutching from #TeamMSC

Like my sxs… but I’m old enough to remember when you needed SKILL to off-road …. It was just dirt bikes… along came quads which required little less skill … then the sxs… which requires NO skill. Hahaha. Price of getting old I guess. Good video
Glad you enjoyed the video. I wouldn’t say a SXS doesn’t require any skill. Loads of videos online proving there is no shortage of dummies out there who think they can do something and find out the hard way they can’t. The skillset is different than other vehicles as is the case with anything. If you want to ride easy to moderate terrain then I agree, a SXS makes it seem pretty easy but if you want to push the limits it’s far from “no skill required” But that’s just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions lol 😂
Did the rear get squirrelly trying to run faster on the trails? Mine sure did.
