Excellent review, I've never found such honest and detailed review for this model. I had been in dilemma about pots and pans fitting in. But this is the only review that demonstrated it can fit it. Great job.. Way to go..
Thank you! I have researched and researched...my main concern was placing pots and pans in a counter top washer, FINALLY! You helped me make up my mind after weeks and weeks of indecisiveness!
Ohh your welcome! I really love it...I just moved and I have a regular one...and I really hate bending over to put stuff in it... im trying to serif I can install it in my new place
Cascade Platinum dishwasher detergent will never let you down in these machines. You dont need any other product as dishes come out sparkling clean and smell fresh every time with no spots. The only maintenance needed is running a quick cycle and adding half a cup of vinegar every month or so and the filter is easily cleaned with hot tap water and vinegar. No extra is needed for these machines. Believe me. A pod can be cut with scissors in half and then added to the machine to avoid it getting stuck. Always use Cascade Platinum and I dont recommend using hot water to fill because the unit heats up to its specifications and starting with hot tap water can damage the dishwasher in the longrun.

I was reviewing countertop dish washer, and had chosen the Danby on Amazon. Two minutes into your first video, I pulled the trigger and it on the way. I found your video information, and straight the point. You go girl!!! three thumb up. Thank you much.
I prefer to use 1 tablespoon of Cascade Complete Powder. Works like a charm, less chance of gel eventually gumming up the unit. Also, it has better bleaching and enzyme effect because the components are in a dry state.
Awesome video! I have this same Danby dishwasher and I absolutely love it too! I really enjoyed your video. Learned a few things too. Thank you and God Bless You!

Great review! I just bought this. Wondering if the water tap has to be on and running for the full 100 minutes that the machine is on? Or are you supposed to turn the water off at some point?
Hello. Thank you for the video and, btw, you look gorgeous. I am thinking about buying one and I have seen some videos and models but none speak about the salt. My mom has one of those built-in (the big ones) and she has to fill it with salt from time to time (apart of the other liquid, of course). Does these dishwashers need it? If yes, where is the opening for the salt deposit? Thank you
No, this one doesn't have any salt opening, I do not know if the rinse aid has salt in it tho, because it does have a rinse aid opening. And rinse aid is a must! Thanks for the compliment 🙈❤☺
@@stphndrn ok, amazing. Then it does not need salt. About overcrowding the place. The thing works shooting pressurised hot water. Two days ago, we place in my mother's dishwasher two oven trays, two pots and all dishes and stuff. You can place some glasses under that wok. The water will hit the wok and run along its interior because, at the end, it is a bowl. That way you can save some space. In sum, I always place the huge stuff on smaller things like dishes (they are vertically placed, so water runs between them) or glasses (they are circles, so there is space between them). Yeah the detergent area is where your supposed to put the dishwasher gel. I find that the rinse aid is necessary if you dont want residues or streaks but if you like the outcome of the finished dishes stick to it. Hope that helps...🙂
After the end of any cycle and after closing the tap and pushing the red button to expel a small jet of water. Is it normal to have to empty in the pipes filled with water from the dishwasher?
Hey Daniel! Great question! That has to be done to release the pressure, otherwise you can't take the hose out. But I think the pipes still have some water in them, I don't worry about that because before each cycle that gets expelled before the wash...does that answer your question? 😊
I would contact the company u bought it from... it has to come with a hose. Otherwise u can go to home depot... but this is something that should have been provided.
I was wondering, can you still drink tap water from your faucet as you would normally? I’m asking this since it looks like the dirty water coming from the dishwasher is connected there. Thanks
No, after it gets washed if u open right away depending on what detergent you use, you will see a lot of bubbles. Thats ok. They go away. If you see a lot of water, then close it. And start to do a cycle, but just the first 20 seconds thats when it drains. Then end the cycle by turning it off... But make sure everything is installed properly first. Let me know how it goes!
And like all dishwashers the first rinse doesn’t heat. Just uses water. You are supposed to use hot water. Then the other parts of the cycles it uses the heating element.
I was wondering how the black door seal around the inside is holding up? I had a dishwasher and the black rubber seal began to melt and release a black residue. Could you touch the black rubber seal and see if it is holding up? I am planning on buying it but I want to make sure the seal won't be a problem. Great review.
I had a larger Danby portable with a salt resivor in bottom. It was free from a gal many miles from me. Very scaled up with lime. Once I got the lime cleaned up it worked wonderfully for 7 years for me and was working well when a fire from LL stove burnt our house up. Of all lost I think that dishwasher is the hardest loss. No leaks, all wash cycles worked, had faucet hook up but could be manually filled with bucket. All stainless interior save racks, just great all around. Models sold now are less options, no soft water option. I could wash anything in that machine! Thanks for the review. Wish I'd done one of the near full size but 18" across the front model.
Hi Stephanie, it's very kind of you to review the dishwasher in detail. However, if you could just let me know the inner dimensions of the washing space, it would be greatly helpful to me. In the video, you have already measured the depth, but what about the inner height (means effective height after putting the strainer). The thing is that I need to buy this one but I want to be able to wash 10 inch X 10 inch X 10 inch (l x b x h) pot in it, otherwise the dishwasher won't be useful for me. Unfortunately, no where on the internet I could find the inner dimensions, not even in the online manual. Thank you in advance.
Hi @@stphndrn, thank you so much for your reply and I'm sorry for not being very clear in my question. The hose is 5 ft. The hook up is in the back of the unit and there is enough slack to not have the machine directly at the sink. I hid the hose behind coffee machine and coffee grinder. Thank you Stephanie I purchased my machine because my wife saw your video .
There's a little compartment next to where you put the soap or tablet, that opens up and you fill it in there. The rinse aid will stay there and when it needs more it will let u know...🥰

Would this connect to a bathroom faucet.
Well anything is possible with the right adapter... lol the hose probably would need an adapter but you could get that in home depot or ace...
So either a 150cm, 60in, or a foot? Think you meant or 5 feet.
Jijiji...yes cm...definitely not 5 feet...lol
@@stphndrn but 60 inches or 150 cm is 5 feet. But you said 1 foot. That would be 12 inches or around 30 cm. So is it 5 feet of definitely not 5 feet because if it is 60 inches it is 5 feet
The hose is 5 ft. The hook up is in the back of the unit and there is enough slack to not have the machine directly at the sink. I hid the hose behind coffee machine and coffee grinder. Thank you Stephanie I purchased my machine because my wife saw your video .
Which model is the Danby?
Danby DDWC621WDB 😊
Where do i put the rise aid?
There's a little compartment next to where you put the soap or tablet, that opens up and you fill it in there. The rinse aid will stay there and when it needs more it will let u know...🥰
@@stphndrn thank you so much !!!
May I please know what is the height inside?
Im gonna have to measure....lol I just re watched the video and I didn't measure that part...lol but I will let u know soon!
@@stphndrn thanks.. I'm planning to pick one this afternoon. Just awaiting your review 😂
Cascade Platinum dishwasher detergent will never let you down in these machines. You dont need any other product as dishes come out sparkling clean and smell fresh every time. The only maintenance needed is running a quick cycle and adding half a cup of vinegar every month or so and the filter is easily cleaned witj hot tap water and vinegar. No extra is needed for these machines
A pod can be cut with scissors in half and then added to the machine to avoid it getting stuck. Always use Cascade Platinum and I dont recommend using hot water to fill because the unit heats up to its specifications and starting with hot tap water can damage the dishwasher in the longrun.
