Nice tour of the new Software and great Update by Navigraph :) Love that the app now automatically finds the charts applicable to the simbrief flight plan and of course the VFR charts
Just downloaded it - wow, what a great upgrade. For me, primarily VFR with a bit of high-level stuff for fun, it's everything I need.
This is a very timely video. Thanks! Also I was rewatching your cruise tutorial. Thanks for covering the QNH/baro info. I didn't set that correctly. I was on approach to KLMT with very heavy low clouds thinking I was OK. Broke through the cloud layer to find the ground rushing up to me. I barely managed to pull up in time 😅. The elevation of the runway was actually 4090 ft. Lesson learned.

Thanks! It took a while to figure out as I'm still not that much of an expert on sounds. I originally thought "I just buy a good mic and everything will be good". I did, I bought an EPOS B20. But you heared the results. The trick in the end was to reduce its gain to a very low level and then boost the low noise that it recorded within the streaming and recording software. The result is that my videos are a bit more quiet overall now, but at least the audio quality is very good. Will find a solution for the rest as well, eventually.

This is the best update so far!
Love the new GUI, feels a lot smoother and simpler to get things going - perfect for vatsim, instead of opening charts and scrolling through the options you can just zoom into to taxiway markings. Overall really impressed, thanks for sharing.

The latest update to Navigraph really is good looking.
I do like the look of the VFR charts, but I am not an IRL aviator so I have little to compare it to.
It would be nice if the VFR chart had some features from little nav map. It would be nice to draw rings, and measure distances from way points, etc.
Indeed such features would be handy, even though they don't necessarily exist even on real life systems. I've used a moving map during my time in general aviation which did not have those features and I survived without one as well. ;)

Need to get Navigraph looks like it'll really step up my simming and learning experience before I go onto vatsim. Currently using chartfox but its a bit annoying as not all airports are there and are all in different formats. Also the up to date nav data would be very useful in simming. It’ll be interesting to see how these improvements look. I use ForeFlight at the moment, but I pay way too much for it. lol
I love that zoom feature from the enroute chart to the airport layout, maybe Lido will catch up with these apps one day 😅
It's amazing how there are so many features now in flight simming that the real world hardly has, isn't it?
@@A330Driver i know, and jeppessen is not that much better, my operator is currently transitioning from jepp to lido and they both need to catch up to 2022 😅

I really do like the new VFR option within Navigraph. However I’m missing an option to view the navlog after planning a vfr flightplan.
Have you find a way to do this or how do you do it yourself?

So far I'm still using my iPad for the navlog, a way to show it in the Navigraph app would really be a good feature indeed!

Nice update undoubtedly, but the proper vfr charts are available for free in volanta, which also is free.
Where would they be in Volanta? I highly doubt ORBX would be able to offer payware quality charts for free to be honest.
@@A330Driver in the map options. They’re the same maps I pay for at the fbo. I believe they’re also available in little nav maps. Another free source
Volanta only has the US Sectional Chart in it. No use for the rest of the world...
Navigraph 8 has a Javascript Error message bug that constantly pops up ever couple of minutes. Just started today.

Why does it open in the simulator in the old version?
They posted a lenghy explanation in their discord, apparently the sims fps would drop down drastically if they changed the in-sim app to the new one and thus decided to keep the old one in the sim.

Navigraph is cool but i like to simulate real world airline ops and i didnt think airline pilots have it this good with regards to features? I thought airline pilots just have charts and nothing fancy
Depends on the airline of course, in mine we're using Navtech Charts+ with pretty much the full feature set as far as I'm aware. Except for the live position on the actual approach chart we have the same data as Navigraph gives. The livemap is limited to enroute (and when the iPads have GPS reception... so not very often LOL).
No in sim charts so useless for VR flyers.
You did download the Navigraph charts app for MSFS did you?
@@A330Driver navigraph are unable to update the in game panel for the excellent update 8, they state this on their forum.
