Working on the water lesson with me by going to my Facebook page, Randy Blaukat, professional angler and shoot me a private message - Sport
My FAV for September: Heddon Tiny Torpedo on a spinning rod.
110 plopper on lake Ontario works, but as you said bites are sporadic but the large bait and size produce bit bass and big pike. The revolver also works wonders.
The last couple of weeks, I've been catching quality bass w/ a rooster tail and/or swimming a small jigging spoon. With the largemouth chasing shad everywhere, I'm kinda glad hardly anyone talks about them, since it's almost as exciting as a topwater strike to have a 3+ lb bass grab a 1/4 oz chrome/white rooster tail.
Last September I caught several bass on the Berkeley Choppo topwater lure.
Yes our northern waters are a different animal. The bass pin the forage in small coves and creeks for a feeding frenzy. While others turn their attention to the sculpins and craws. If you know where to look it can be good. Unlike Georgia,by the time October gets here we're in our coats.
You are right Randy I did topwater fishing last September and did well. Buzzbait - frog and popping frog. Will start again after this holiday is over. Thanks for your valuable information I would not be throwing these baits if not for you. Most everyone here throw crankbaits in September. Top water baits are more exciting and catch bigger fish. Thanks again.
Randy we are about to get hammered with a Hurricane. It is possible to do quick a rapidly rising water video? I'm expecting a great bite this next week etc. Take care buddy.
Most of us fish on lakes that have no shad.
In Minnesota I find that the jig fishing and top water frog bite can be phenomenal in September.
Love the channel!
Definitely tough on my home lake in tx please do some more on September baits and techniques if you can thanks
I got my best fish of 2023 last week in 3 feet of water on a rebel popR 86 degree surface temp over grass bed in the middle of the day.
Randy, thank you for the in-depth tutorials that convey the truth that you really are trying to educate on a whole host of issues and topics. These hundreds of other bass fishing CZcamsrs are so obviously just looking for a revenue stream to support their fishing hobby and nothing more. Thank you for you genuineness.
Thanks man I appreciate that!
About mid August to current, my biggest bass have been shallow. Been tough getting anything over 3 pounds. Shad are scattered but are starting to show up in the mouths of big coves yet main lake pockets with healthy grass are stating to turn on a little. I love this transition period. Ya gotta go to work.
Coffeen Lake
Thanks!! Good juice here!
I’m going tomorrow and I’ll be throwing Toads , Buzz baits , and prop tops on the edge of grass lines , I agree all top
Yeah, I agree September is probably the best month for topwater.
Poor Florida , another damn hurricane , we are praying for our neighbors
I’ll also go out and get some more top waters all I have is a sputterbuzz and a bass pro popper
Topwater 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Caught my PB in the last hurricane 🌀 didn’t try too water tho lol
Hey Randy do when will more colors of your jig be back in stock?
I’ll try and find out
@@randyblaukatintuitive Thanks!
Hello nice video also I’m second
Do you consider our Northern fisheries better or worse?
I've lived in Georgia and up north. Each has their own perks, and that's really the best way to look at it.
Living in Georgia, I had access to water year round without having to cut a hole in ice to fish in February. The advantage is the south grows bigger bass, and year round access is so nice. But it gets so hot, and it doesn't just affect the fish, 100 degree days take their toll on you, too.
Up north everything freezes for 3 or 4 months, and the bass don't get as big generally, but the worst of the summer struggle only lasts a short while, and we have so much more variety of fish to be caught.
I love both places, for different reasons.
@@S2pidMedia I’ve been fishing Southern Ontario so long, I enjoy the fishing, I’ve only ever fished salt water once on a trip to Jamaica, I’m envious of you being able to catch so many species. I think the only Canadian Fish I haven’t caught are Bowfin and Sturgeon. Thanks for the reply, be blessed.
@@oxyfee6486 you gotta catch a bowfin! They are one of the best pound for pound fights you'll ever have. You as well brother! God bless!
