Kingsbarns Distillery Launches 'Balcomie' Single Malt Whisky (Full Video)

'BALCOMIE' SHERRY CASK MATURED SINGLE MALT
This Single Malt from the family owned distillery in the Kingdom of Fife has been distilled using Fife barley and matured in ex-Oloroso American Oak Sherry Butts used previously for maturing Sherry. These casks were chosen for their gentle oak flavours and sherry rich sweetness to compliment the fruit character of the Kingsbarns spirit.
A perfect balance between the spirit and the wood.

I did my first ever distillery tour at Kingsbarns today. As a result I had no idea what I was supposed to smell buy I did like it. I don't drink so I didn't have a sip but my son who was with me said he found it really smooth and could taste some of the things you mentioned. All in all I enjoyed the experience topped of Sith a nice latte in the cafe.

Balcomie was released on Monday 9th November for pre-sale, with the first bottles beginning to be shipped from the distillery next week (w/c 23rd Nov)
