  • Located within the city's historic centre and dominating the Florentine skyline stands the most recognizable and significant structure in Florence, ‘Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore’, the Duomo!
This is your Florence Duomo Travel Guide! In this episode, we show you how to explore all 5 Monuments of Piazza del Duomo in Florence, Tuscany, Italy & take you up the over 400 steps to reach the top of the Dome and Tower! 😍🇮🇹 With a construction that spanned centuries, this cathedral still holds the title of the largest masonry dome ever built.
Beyond the cathedral, Piazza del Duomo is home to 5 monuments that make its square one of the most fascinating sites in Italy. Today, we use The Brunelleschi Pass to explore all 5 of these monuments. The Brunelleschi Pass costs €30 per person and gives you access to the 5 monuments of Piazza del Duomo: the Baptistery of San Giovanni, Giotto's Bell Tower, Brunelleschi's Dome, the Opera del Duomo Museum, and the ancient basilica of Santa Reparata!

I have to say this. You two have topped anyone who’s ever attempted to show these buildings. You didn’t rush it. It was a long video which captured what it takes to climb to the top of Florence’s greatest achievements. It was so enjoyable. I’m super impressed by the quality and the respect you had for your audience to ensure they got the full experience! You can be very proud of yourselves!!!

I like the touch a sculpture portion. This helps visitors who are blind or who visual challenges. And young artists can get a different view by measuring by hand.

As usual, a fantastic video.... best one I've seen..... great vision, very informative.....All your work is so professional and you have such amazing faces to look at.
God has blessed you with each other and you make such a beautiful husband and wife.
I will be there last week of August. I'll only have time to climb the dome and visit the museum and go underneath. I only have 1 and 1/2 days allocated for Florence.... as I will be doing 2 day trips out of my 4 night stay..... one is to Pisa with maybe a late afternoon and evening in Viareggio, and a day in Lucca, as I want to go to the Sanctuary of St. Gemma Galgani to seek her intercession. Her relics are there (the idea of relics is not so much to collect Saints remains, but in doing so, to seek their intercession as you are in a sense, near to them. Every Catholic Church alter where the One Holy Sacrifice of Christ on Mount Calvary is made Present (which is what the Mass is) has at least one relic of a Saint imbedded into it.....
.....which brings me too my question that i have for you guys; inside the Florence Duomo, do you know where Jesus in the Tabernacle is? Behind the main altar or in a side chapel perhaps 💒 and also do you know if it is true that there is a side door to bypass the line if you wish to attend Mass?
( Ps. I don't know if you ever do this but next time you went to a Catholic Church, pop over and visit Jesus in the tabernacle because he's waiting there for you and he's so much longing for you to spend a little bit of time with him there, just to be with Him for a while and tell him that you love Him and share some of your love with Him, and to thank Him for the gift of the Sacrament of your marriage and the beautiful people that you are 😃 )
God bless you both.... and much love 🙏
