Namaskar I have not come across decisive and crucial evidence to determine the exact timing of Adi Shankaracharya. Two prominent claims linger around 500 BCE and 800 CE. In my subjective judgment, I accept 500 BCE, but I can be wrong. I wait for empirical and thus testable, evidence.
