What if the light on bass box blinking green and the sound bar is playing and no bass, what should be done?

No sound from my subwoofer even though the light was green. Tried all the fixes in the comments. My problem was the location of the sub in relation to the sound bar. Make sure it’s as close as reasonably possible and there are no obstructions between them. They have to be able to “see each other”.

LG SN7Y woofer not working. Light is solid green on back of woofer but no sound is coming Out. Tried everything to reset and manually connect. Again solid green light but no sound from woofer. Is there anything else I’m missing to trouble shoot. Just purchased today brand new from a seller on offer up. Everything was sealed when I opened

For anyone with a LG DS60Q that has the sub connected but theres barely or no output from it- I solved the issue by downloading the LG Soundbar app, connected to my soundbar and found it somehow had it completely set the sub to minimum output as well as in the equaliser it was -11 db.

@dhyanaflower3543 The subwoofer does not require wi-fi to connect to the soundbar. They establish a direct connection with one another.

@Vadym Kravets The subwoofers are specific to the soundbars they come with so you wouldn't be able to mix them up unfortunately.

@@abtelectronics but why the same sub (SHX56-D) is native for model BB5520A and HLX56s ??? In both model manuals we can see the same subwoofer model :)
@Vadym Kravets Some of the soundbars use the same subwoofer. But each soundbar will only work with the type of subwoofer that comes in the box with it.

My SK10y subwoofer LED is solid green, the WF tuning is on max volume possible. But I am getting really low sound from Subwoofer. When I am trying a 5.1 surround sound test video, no sound is coming from Subwoofer at all. Can you please advise.
I have the same problem.....WF is on 6, the highest and barely rumbles during movies or shows. Very disappointment in the LG Sub Woofer. Can't find anything online or the forums. Your comment was the first that I've seen about the matter.

@@rintusojan7909 Using HDMI ARC, tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but still the same low bass volume. My older LG soundbar has more bass. My new model is the SP9YA. Made the wrong choice.
@@coburn_karma Yes, agree with you. My sound bar is having more Bass than my Sub. Need to keep my ears close to my Sub to hear the base sound.
@@rintusojan7909 There seems to be a PCB board that LG sells to replace inside the sub woofer. Saw a video on it, but I don't think my problem applies in this situation since it connects via bt, but just crazy low volume.

@David If the light is solid green that means it's connected properly. You may just need to adjust the subwoofers output. To do that you'll need to press the sound tuning button on the remote until the display on the soundbar says WF (subwoofer). Then press the up button on the directional pad to raise the sub level. If the light on the back of the sub is solid red, that means the connection was not made and you'll need to try the pairing process again. Another way to try would be to unplug both sub and soundbar from their power sources for a few minutes then plug the soundbar back in first, then the subwoofer.

@@abtelectronicsThank you, I got a LG soundbar today and the light was green but (apparently) no sound was coming from the subwoofer. I could feel some vibration Your tip about the WF setting helped me, the movie title theme shook me up.
Try turning volume to zero then going through this reset method.
Worked for me. For some reason its easier to pair when the volume is off and from time to time just wont connect with it on.

@Colonel Sky Some LG soundbars are capable of connecting to additional surround speakers, but it depends on your model.
Will this connect to my LG SN7CY? - My soundbar never came with a subwoofer. looking to buy one
@hashimmahmood2031 The SN7CY is not available in the North American market so it's hard to say. We look on LGs website and they don't mention anything about a separate subwoofer that can be used with that model.

@dimamazepa These types of subwoofers will only pair with specific models. If you know the soundbar model number it will be easier to determine if this sub will work with it.
Is the occasional green blinking light okay? Mine blinks once every 1-2mins.
Move it away from any routers or wifi it interrupts the Bluetooth signal

@thetrooper4955 It doesn't look like that is a model we carry here in the US. The SN7CY looks to be very similar, but does not show an available optional subwoofer.

If only it WAS this simple. My woofer disconnects all the time. Seems to be a common problem with the LG sub. The receiver for the surround speakers is the same distance from the sound bar and never disconnects. The woofer disconnects daily. I am at the point of selling the system and buying a wired set up. Very frustrating. LG SN7Y

My friend bought a new soundbar and gave me the old one. The subwoofer turns on and blinks green but the soundbar wont turn. I believe theres a cable missing but im not sure. She only gave me the optical cable and it’s connected but it wont turn on
@Luis Castillo The soundbar doesn't connect to the subwoofer with a wire. They work through bluetooth. The optical cable will go from the soundbar to your TV. If the method in this video isn't working, you may want to try unplugging both the soundbar and subwoofer from their power sources for a few minutes, then plug them back in soundbar first followed by the subwoofer. We've had success with that method as well.
@@abtelectronics no im saying i believe there is a cable missing for the sound bar. They only gave me the optical cable but i imagine there should a power cord for it no?
@Luis Castillo Yes, there should definitely be a power cord. The soundbar should have one as well as the subwoofer.

@Akbal25 Sounds like it might be something else if the LED isn't turning on at all. Possibly a problem with the outlet it's plugged into, or the power supply in the subwoofer itself. Mines dead. Haven't used it in yonks and only used it a few times but it has remained connected to power. Now there's no longer any light on the back. She's dead Jim. Rest of the soundbar system and rear speakers work.

@J0sh.D If the light doesn't come on at all then you may not be getting power to the subwoofer. Try testing it on another outlet in the room that's on a different circuit. Do you need Wi-Fi for this?
@kenross863 No, you would not need wifi to make this work. The connection between the soundbar and the subwoofer is made via bluetooth. All you'd need is to plug in both pieces to a power source.
My subwoofer is just blinking green after I turned the sound bar off

Ok my sub woofer has paired but the sound bar just says ready. The volume control level appears on the TV screen but not on the sound bar. I don't think this is correct. Any advice?
@barbaraworthington5614 You'll also want to make sure you set the audio output on your TV to Soundbar, or external speaker, so the TV knows to send its audio to the soundbar. What if my subwoofer there is no light at the back?
@Melvin Mauri It's possible that there is something wrong with the power supply if the light is not coming on. Try making sure everything is plugged in tightly. If the power cord is securely connected and it's still not working, you may need service.
Mine shows green while trying to pair the subwoofer to the sound bar and eventually shows red
@obasidavid7058 You may want to try unplugging both items from the wall and leave them out for a few minutes. Then plug them back in soundbar first, then subwoofer. We've had success using that method as well.

@Ronald Jose Jr That means it's still trying to establish a connection. There are a couple things you can try. 1, try moving the subwoofer closer to the soundbar. Or 2, if the subwoofer is close to the soundbar and it's still not working try unplugging them both from the wall for a few minutes. Then plug the soundbar back in first, followed by the subwoofer. Everything I tried failed because I didn’t have the remote. Managed to find it a month later and it took one minute to reconnect 😂 🎶🎵🎤

What soundbar do you need? I have an LG S44A1-0 subwoofer and I have never got it to pair with my phone or anything else.
I would of preferred a G.D. Wire with an industry standard speaker jack on the end of it.. I could at least plug it into a computer. Technology mega fail.

Doesn't work mate
Not working on my LG SN4, Subwoofer will not connect after trying e-clear and Min volume plus mute.
Decided to play nice. Working now. Green quick flashing light stayed on for longer than usual then it worked.

Subwoofer continues to flash red ONLY. The button is useless, nothing will make it flash green.
Soon I'll see if a sledgehammer will do the trick. if not, then off to Costco to buy a Samsung or some other.

Don't buy lg blueetoth sound bar. One of the worst life time experience I have been facing! It connects to woofer then works fine for a while a month later does not connect and this has been happening again and again! Indont get it what’s wrong with it and so many customers are having the same issues!
