Perfect timing! While I’m not a beginner I was feeling very tight and I was looking for a flow a bit slower for today. This was perfect! Please don’t stop the more advanced classes, but these are great thrown in here and there as beginner/maintenance days. Thanks Charlie!
What most impresses me is the care that you take insuring proper form. With some instructors, it's all about getting to the next pose, but you really take the time to sit with each pose, and I appreciate that. This was the best child's pose and downward facing dog that I've ever experienced.

Charlie, at 67 I have always done some sort of workout. The past 4 years I had a lot of pain, to the point I could no longer do much. After doc appts, chiro appts, massage appts, you name it, nothing helped. FINALLY, my insisting that it just wasn’t old age I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis. Long story short, had surgery 2 mths ago and I thank God my pain is gone!!! I’ve been walking but I feel tight and stiff. Came across your videos, along with millions of others but your sweet gentle spirit told me I should try this. Gosh, I just did it now for the 1st time and boy, I’m sooo tight!!! But I will keep at it! My body tells me it needs this. I look forward to progressing!! Thank you!
Not a beginnger, just wanted something slow and simple to end my day! This was exactly what my body needed!
something this practice helped me realize was that some of the hardest parts of yoga aren't how complex or difficult the pose is, but rather how deep you can go in stillness. i've started doing your intermediate yoga classes so i've been caught up in the "more, more, more" mindset. this class helped me slow down and was actually pretty challenging.

@charliefollows I totally agree with this comment and love your cuing and had this realisation that I can slow down more to really embrace the present moment and the movement. I do find Vinyasa challenging but love it and hope you will do more beginner videos regularly. Thank you for doing what you do. 💓

Wow!!! I approached this like climbing low grades with deliberation. It totally cleaned up my technique. Especially in plank! Content like this is teaching me how to place hands, hold body, etc. Instead of sloppily thrashing into movement, I will do this or other vids like this to build muscle memory. Thank you Charlie. ❤

I’m not a beginner, but I make sure I practice everyday. Sometimes a gentle slow flow is just what the body needs particularly in the morning or evening. I love your cues and I just started your 30 day challenge. Love your videos and the beautiful backgrounds which are so calming.

i absoultely love the whole flow! i'm not a beginner with yoga by any means but i do absoultely adore restorative practices that are just a bit slower and a more gentle stretch! it was my rest day today & i appreciate this flow so much!!🥰🫶🏻
bradley 58yr old. loved the beginner class this video. did a 20min 4 days ago. did another 20 mins 3 days ago of another . now found yours for 30 mins. so here goes. you asked for comments so. feet pointed out flat is very tough but after a few its better. same when you fold toes and try to sit back on heels. didnt realize i had lost all my flexibility in my feet. explain to your beginners this pain. cobra is tuff even feel like im almost doing a push up having to push hard to even get anything that resembles cobra. but im going to keep working with you. the start sitting Indian style is even hard for the stiff neck like me..example..when i fight to get to indian style i can tell why you use it because my body was telling me i should be able to do it. and the closer i got to it and the longer i did it the better it felt. but my whole routine looked and felt very sloppy. thank you for the lesson. when i got to indian style my hands are no where near my knees. my arms fell towards my knees and touches them just below the elbow. even relaxing in that pose was hard but felt better as i went. sitting there you said go hands together then above head. to start getting my hands straight above my head and then extended was hard but you ask to fingers together and point psalms to sky just would not happen so i never got to the extend to back behind head to stretch abs. i tried my best to mock your shape but my body was forsaken me bad. i had no idea i have gotten this stiff. another fact for you pros. stiff muscled bound knuckled heads like me are not breathing slow in and outs. about mid way through i sounded like i was on a jog. breathing like i was doing reps on the weight bench. Im so ashamed that ive let my body go like this. im 6 ft even 200 lbs. got a little extra pounds on me but didnt think it was that bad. thank you again because i found your temperament appealing and you kept me honest for the whole thing. back to indian style. when you ask to stretch one arm up and over to stretch the sides i found because my balance was so bad that i couldnt steady hold that stretch. i know relaxing and steady breathing is part of the yoga thang but i found myself getting to excited and not steady breathing. its something i know i need to work on. i will tell you the reason i have turn to you. i watched a documentary on "Diamond Dallas Paige" a wrestler. he said his body had gone to the crusher. he said his x wife got him into yoga and he said it healed everything about his broken and battered body. but he also said it is tuff. but i showed up and glad to bring you into my home. thank you again and appreciate you much. question ? should i do this routine once or twice a day or should i do it once every other day. and should i find another beginner routine of yours to do. ?
Practice is the key to improving. Once every day is best but not essential. Try other beginner classes too.
And before you know it you'll see improvement ☺️
I'm 53 and have been doing yoga almost every day for 7 months. My posture, flexibility and balance have all improved immensely 😀
Just did a complete yoga class for the first time ever. I've been struggling with starting as I haven't found videos that are accessible enough for me. I always quit after 5 minutes as they were too hard. And while I struggled in some parts as I'm lacking some upper body strength, I still feel accomplished and confident now that I actually finished. Thank you so much for this class Charlie! Maybe this could be the start of something great. 🥰

This was a wonderful class, Charlie! I haven't been very consistent with my practice the past couple of months and had difficulty getting back into the regular classes, so this was a great reintroduction for me. I also really appreciated taking the time to break down the poses and alignment and I was able to reasses the "bad habits" I did in the past. I hope you create more of these classes 😊

It’s my third day taking one of your classes after I put th kiddos to bed and I, loving this new routine, gets better lose for a quick workout and mentally calm to end my day at the same time.
Wow this was just the class i needed this morning.... I have been practicing yoga for nearly 10 years but I love doing beginner flows, its wonderful to have the start fresh feeling, really examine my practice and go deep! Also good if my body is feeling sore, this class stretched me in just the right way, thanks Charlie!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for this entire channel. I have been trying to get back into yoga for two years after a pretty dark time in my life, and have finally introduced it fairly regularly back into my schedule. I have found a few channels with good beginner videos and lovely people but they always move too fast and I need to beak the pose to pause the video and get back in the pose, it just breaks the mindfulness/meditation part of it. As someone else said I really appreciate how you sit with each pose, and how calm and lovely your voice is. I have done this routine and also Beginners Yoga Flow to start your journey, and I really truly love doing them. So again thank you very much, I can't wait to get into the rest of your videos and check out the programs
I woke up pretty tired and I found this class to be a really gentle way to wake up and also work on some strength/flexibility without it being a breathless pace. Enjoyed it! More like this please

Almost complete beginner here, 30 y/o male with a tummy. I hope this is my beginning on a new journey with consistent yoga, and I think your channel can be my path!
I can't say I didn't struggle at times, but still this set felt right amount of challenging. My greatest challenge tho, is breathing comfortably during child pose, as my air flow was restricted by my belly. Other than that, I can only say thank you!
I absolutely loved the flow and intensity of this. I am just returning to yoga after a few years off and some weight gain and this was a perfect reintroduction.

Beautiful setting with delightful bird song to soothe the senses. I really enjoyed the slower pace to allow the breath to ease into poses. Also loved the more in depth explanation of how to find the correct posture and adaptations. Bravo for braving the rain fall at the end without any distraction from the flow. Beginner with yoga, but with a fair bit of flexibility/mobility and I really just needed something for me "rest day" after working arms yesterday. This was perfect!
Really good stuff. Love the explanations and the rhythm. Very beginner friendly. I had been looking for something to get me back into the groove after not practicing nor being able to move as much as I wanted to for a long time. This class challenged me at an accessible level, made me feel welcomed back rather than make me feel ashamed of all that I have lost in terms of strength and flexibility. After this class, I feel more serene than I have been in months, and am reminded of how healing yoga can be. Thank you for that boost in motivation.

I'm not a beginner, though at times it is very productive to get back to basics, slow things down a bit, and really dial in the foundational poses, fully concentrate on breath, and mental focus.

Hi Charlie, this is my first comment but I have been practicing with you for almost a year now. I have reached the “intermediate/advanced” level of your classes. When I am sick and need a lighter, slower class, I come and join the beginner classes and really find them enjoyable. For feedback: I wish that when I was a beginner a long time ago, I had more poses break down (every time during your classes, I end up having questions about different angles of the pose still). I have joined your strong program for that very same reason and have found a passion for functional yoga. Thank you for this great class ! ❤
