I had never been in business before, all my life I had been an employee. The first chance I sort of got involved in business is the T-shirt collaboration with Ikat Tepi. Don’t know if it was the design or the price, the response is appalling. Of course, you may say it’s too early to tell, that’s why I’m still pushing it hopefully you’ll give me your full support. This episode takes us to Menjalara which is considered an eye opener for me, hope you’ll find it compelling as much as I worked on it. A new discovery indeed for me to see Menjalara food stalls via your food hunting lens. I had a great laugh when you introduced the coffee at almost the end of your video. The "Ham Sap" coffee with your description being salty and wet is super funny. Good coverage on younger generation taking over the wok or opening their own food / drinks stalls - demonstrating their skills in this culinary world. Yatt Lau 👍👍👍. Great recommendations, Although I come to eat here quite often I have not tried any of your finds but will try them next.
Dont try to come during the weekends morning for the dim sum shops- really packed right to the road side. Menjalara also cover Medan Putra area - so a 3parts review may not cover all the great makan places.in Menjalara.

Great episode...I usually in and out this area but very often don't know what to eat .. because there are too many makan place in this small area. Now I got to try some of the places.

Hi Elmo, I am your fan. Thrilled that you have been to my hometown Kajang, and your recommendations were spot on! Do consider visiting Sungai Chua for Nasi Lemak Hakka, Black Forest Bakery, the kampung baru Pan Mee, Spicy Soup and many other delicacies you can expect from a Chinese New Village. When my kid is bigger I will take him out, maybe still masked, to some of the spots you featured in PJ, KL, etc. Your videos are down to earth and relaxing, like I am listening to a yamcha buddy or senior. Keep up the good work.

我嗰班居住喺KL嘅香港朋友經常都係去呢度搵食，特別係洪記港式粉麵，老闆之前喺元朗賣牛腩粉，移居咗過嚟大馬之後就選擇喺甲洞區經營嗰間牛腩粉店，經常好多香港人去捧場！ 😄

Very nice, sangat sedap, got India food and Chinese food.
一个甲洞都可以做五集，美食之城。
Used to eat fu lai dimsum here but nw getting more expensive. Havent try eden dimsum yet.
Too many cha sat here don't know which one to choose, your recommendation looks good, will try next time!
There is one shop named kaw kaw pak kopi, they have other branches in other place i.e. ss2, their egg tart i think is the best and close to Hongkong style. Fresh and taste good.

There is another coffee shop, just a few shops away from Up Grade Restaurant, which has a stall that sells fried spaghetti, varieties of fried spaghetti. From my knowledge, they have been around for at least 15 years!, nothing fancy, but nice, tasty hawker food with reasonable pricing and big portion.

Aya! Just when I'm ready to boycott hawker food, you come out with this clip. Hawkers have spontaneously increased their food prices to astronomical level, with increment rates way surpass the increment of raw material and rental. Today, with so many thumbs-up recommendations, I have to surrender. At least for one more trip before I boycott. Sharks!

@@malaysiafood328 Uncle Elmo try come to Taman Bukit Maluri eat....Fook Loong Chicken rice opposite the Surau....Seng Lee Bak Kut Teh opposite 7 Eleven try their Ginger Wine Chicken 20 over years business experience....if morning u can go Uncle Lex or u can call him Lek Suk Fried Kui Teow and his Kam Heong fried rice just besides Seng Lee Bak Kut Teh and u will saw one bus stop and is just behind the bus stop only also very nice 40 over years business experience husband and wife....if at night u can try SENG KEE hokkien mee can say is the best in all over Kepong but only things Uncle Elmo have to wait long que,their stall is just opposite Health Lane pharmacy only..

Malaysia coffee shop generally serving reasonable tasty food but the hygiene level is bad especially the toilet! Not sure why Thai or even Vietnam restaurant can have clean toilet not to mention Japanese or Korean restaurants!
No doubt the hygiene should b improved

I am sorry Elmo sir, your review on 'melt in your mouth char siew' at Menjalara was grossly untrue. I have personally tried it and sadly, it is NOT 'melt in your mouth' at all. Sorely disappointed.

Did you ask for a fatty cut? If you asked for lean, then chewy is what you will get (and deserve).
