you are the reason i brought this bike! and as you say, it really is 'the one bike to ride it all'. added some of the same upgrades too with the nukeproof horizon stem/spacers/bars/grips. the only thing that bothered me with the bike, was the birds nest of cabling up front which i still havent sorted 😅 i need to save up for the wireless shifters and dropper post. i kind of like the gap in the frame for the water bottle, except i use the area for fitting my lights battery packs and the exposure light controls.
Wow! Great review with someone that knows how to ride! First part of the vid looked like Red Bull Hard Line. I would be riding everyday on both of those trails! Some local trials I ride have tight switchbacks for climbing to get to the top of the trail with all types of down hill terrain. Great video with an awesome bike!
I bought this bike in july and have ridden it since then for 2500 km. Its the best decision i made after my cube fully 150mm has been stolen. At the beginning i thought i might be oberbiked but i learned so quick and in one year without riding a normal bike for over 10 years i learned to jump to ride bigger gaps and drops about 2m. If it gets harder and fast you even feel more comfy on it. In general the whole Community is very helfpful and friendly i got to know a lot of people threw this Sport. I also die my first short videos on this Channel😁. To See in your Videos what this bike is capable of judt motivates me. Tranks für the good Videos and give us more jump and technical tutorials. Have a nice ride and sorry for my bad english.
Thanks for the comment buddy, your English is good 👌 Stoked the bike has helped you progress your riding like it has for me 👊 Just keep riding, that’s my plan 👍 Thanks for watching
No worries, it’s a great bike so there should be more out there 🤷♂️ Thanks for the comment, hope you can get one soon, let me know how you get on with it 👊👍🤞
Great video bro...awesome putting a face to the voice....keep shredding...and that's a great bike... I decided to get the propain Ekano 2 AL... Price was better and I had the newer motor...
I am really stoked with my Torque:ON KenRoczen. I really love the water bottle. Only wish it was a tad bigger (which should fit, because there is room te spare). The only downside that i can think of is pedal strikes on more XC/Enduro rides with technical climbs (which i do in pre and post bikepark season). But this wil soon be solved because i ordered some PINND 145mm crank arms to solve this. It really is a one bike to ride it all. I'm so glad i have gone for this bike instead of the Strive:ON. thanks to your reviews and this channel. This bike is just spot on for me. 🤘
You got the Ken Roczen, very nice, and smart move on shorter cranks, I’m looking at 155mm cranks, didn’t even know you could get as short as 145mm! Thanks for the comment buddy, glad you’re loving the bike too 👊👍
I have one of these bikes (CF9) and it’s awesome. I have a hydration pack pack and I like using that. For those who hate the water bottle simply don’t fit the water bottle and apply car wrap/contact over it and it looks like a normal top tube, it’s that simple.
Great video for me! I am into the same type of riding you are and love manuals! Tried to manual a YT Decoy and Specialized but struggled seems like the Torque On is easier 🚀. Couple of questions: thought bike was 27.5 F/R but you mentioned mullet so are you 29in with 180mm up front? I am more inclined towards the Strive On as i thought it would be more playful yet your video proofs Torque can play anywhere....have you ridden a Strive On love to hear your thoughts?
Love manuals 👊 Yes the new Torque ON (carbon one) comes mullet 👍 I would love to ride the Strive ON, looks epic, the Torque ON does have the rear shock lower mounted low which gives it way more pop than it should have 👊 Thanks for the comment
@@ForestMountainBiker wow so even though Torque is on the heavy side it has great pop? And also, I noticed you got bucked on some big jumps was it probably to the rebound too fast or just as you mention too much pop?
Do you set your ebike up differently for jumps and trail riding? Do you run higher pressures or higher sags? Or just 30%in the rear 20%in the front? Just curious thank you in advance.
Not really, generally run the same sag, I aim for 25% front and 25% rear (my personal preference) but when I go to bike parks with big jumps I do add a bit more psi to the front and rear shock so bit more stiff/don’t bottom out 👍
I have been absolutely gobbling up any content I can about this bike since I've finally made my decision to purchase this over the Spectral:On. I appreciate your reviews and all of your content as there isn't much out there specifically for this bike. The water bottle put me off a bit when I first saw it but it's grown on me and I'm even toying with the idea of removing it and replacing it with a frame bag as I use a backpack for my water anyway. I'm guessing it won't look as good as I'd want but it would be sick if it does! Now I play the waiting game as the earliest I'll be ready to purchase is July.
I thought the water bottle space could have more accessories like storage etc, no doubt you can make one fit 👍 Worth waiting for, the new ones have ep801 and if you keep watching the Canyon site they may drop the price again 🤞
@@ForestMountainBiker I'm hoping for a sale when I'm ready to purchase but I'm prepared to pay full price because it's still a killer deal! The Roczen is the only version available right now in the US but I'm going for the CF8. I'm riding a Polygon T7 now so I clearly don't need top end components 🤣
@@ForestMountainBiker well, I've made my purchase! But I didn't go for the Torque:On. The reason I was going back and forth between this and the Spectral:On in the first place was because the Strive:On wasn't available in the US. Well now it is and it's on sale for $1000 off!!! I snatched it up immediately and I'm so happy I did! Canyon is doing amazing things with eMTBs right now! 3 rides and 47 miles later, I definitely made the right purchase for me! It's so good!!! Once I get used to the bike and this shitty spring weather clears up, I'll be churning out content on this thing! Even on my first ride I was hitting jumps with loads more confidence than I was in my Polygon T7. 🤘
hey, thanks for your review. really thinking about getting one. what size is yours? im 1.83m tall and the calculator one the canyon site says L oder M ...
I am relatively novice yet brave(stupid) and love the idea (and trying to) of hitting bigger gaps/drops. Im riding a 170mm travel YT capra at bike parks and have some BPW trips booked for the year, but for laps at the bike park I am considering a Canyon(YT stock levels/cost frustrating!) I feel like a Spectral CF7 with ep801 is a great pick but prefer the downhill bits to any climbing, so thinking the slacker headtube of a torque on may be the way and just be a bit over-biked for a while. Strive still has a battery latch issue or that middle ground would have been it. Arghhh too many choices! Great video.
So many excellent choices out there, being brave and having a great bike will make for an excellent combo 🫡👊 I would choose the Torque for progression if that’s really important, but the Strive or Spectral are the more all rounder choice 👍
Thanks buddy, I did change the stock wheels to some horizon pro v2 wheels, got a 54t ratchet freehub, obnoxiously loud to some, music to me (and you) 😁👍
Great thinking buddy 👌 I do have a 200mm dual crown on the downhill bike, think it would swap, may well give it a go one day, will post a video for sure if I do 👊
Yes, there is an alloy Torque ON, only comes in 27.5 wheels (I think) 👍 Yeah you can tune the ep8 via the shimano app. Just don’t try and update anything via the app 😬👍

@@micagas The forks no, all good, the x2 shock I’m servicing with the 2024 seals, great shock when it worked but didn’t last long before needing a good service! 👍
The bike is awesome. I do not use the strip on the bottle. But the plastic thing at the bottom is a joke, it is easily damaged when hit on rocky technical terrain.
