Their old stadium would’ve made at least 80 million a year in ticket sales. The updates are mainly for concerts and events. I’d be surprised if they haven’t installed boxes as they are gonna be 250 k a season alone
Real Madrids new stadium is an outright eyesore as are all new football stadiums on the other hand theres an architecture group pushing to build a new neo-classical rugby stadium in bath city in England and the designs look incredible football clubs should take note.
"And for the first match back they closed it (roof)" "Jude Bellingham said it's the loudest stadium he's ever played in" Echo being the reason nonetheless
But it doesn't look quite as smooth as it looked in the first video. At that time, you couldn't see the steel bands, and the retractable roof looked so different in the first video that you couldn't distinguish it from the facade.
I still don't like the design. It's part of modernistic architecture which I am not big fan of. I mean it's been perfectly designed, but it lacks character which the old stadium had. I still prefer stadiums like Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge. Ps. It looks similiar to some kind of toaster
They have about 70000 season ticket holders. Stadium sits 85k , so they usually sell about 15 to 30k tickets per game depending how many season ticket holders come. Also there is the maintenance.

@@hadhamalnam that’s because stadiums in Europe aren’t renovated out of nostalgia, these stadiums are a hundred years old, sometimes even more and the owners would prefer to keep renovating it instead of completely overhauling it like Madrid

Damn Bellingham might go down as one Real's biggest legends if he stays there, a 90th minute winner at their new stadiums first game with the season he's having, his potential is off the scale
It’s a great stadium but it’s the same as the stadiums in the us like sofi, coyboys, colts, and falcons stadium. It’s special but not the only one that has all those features
The Johan Cruijff Arena has retractable roof since 1996, the GelreDome (Vitesse Arnhem) has one as well from around the same time, 1998. The Arena AufSchalke also has a similar mechanism, circa 2001. These are the ones I remember from the top of my head.
Only reason it was the loudest was because all of the sound was being kept in because of the retractable roof. It’s not a sign of Real’s fan atmosphere getting bigger, but rather the laws of sound-based physics working to increase the volume of said atmosphere by keeping the sound inside at all times
If you haven't noticed, Barcelona has its own sacred stadium, which is currently being renovated. I'm not going to compare which one will be better, because they will be different. Real closed the stadium more, but Barceona will open it more and that is a much better approach for me.
Man Utd should be able to have this kind of stadium with owners that care about the team. Just like Madrid, we have a fan base that is so dedicated and could be counted on to fund the cost in various ways even if an owner doesn’t want to. But we have the Sheikh Jassim who has the means and wants to but the Glazers are not willing to let it go. Again we keep insisting that if you love Man Utd, stop buying team merchandise and stop attending home games, we need the picture of an empty stadium as a symbol of the Glazers emptiness era. Stop filling their pockets if you want them to go. Otherwise, they will keep draining funds from the club continuing their era of incompetence and mediocrity.
