- After a surf at a spots that doesn't break often, it was a bit hard getting in.
He is a good surfer but a bit unlucky with his timing. And I think it was a brand new board too. :(

We've all been there! Surfers who rock off and in, that is. I've had my feet and equipment dinged up in similar situations, hard when you're buggered after a few hour session too.
Cathedral Rock has a key hole where you can get in like that. I prefer the leisurely 200 metre paddle to the soft beach

The rocks look smooth and soft. Must be a real delight.
When it's rocky and shallow I turn my board over, better to ding the top than lose a fin or ding the bottom.
I thought he did such a good job trying to protect his board.... until the end examination :(

That when you think your set timing for paddleong toward the coast is perfect. But there comes another set when your are about to reach the rocks.sometimes I dont know how we are alive 😅

The guy is coming in from surfing, the waves look too full so he decided to come in. When he went out tide was probably lower and wasn't breaking so high up on the rocks. Most comments below are stupid.

This situation called for better timing and judgment...even with his back to the wave, once he felt H20 getting pulled up the oncoming face and himself with it, immediate evasive action should have been taken in aborting take out until next lapse with oncoming waves.....granted, an exhausting session or cold water dulls judgement..for now I'll enjoy Pismo Beach Ca...no rocks and friendly whitewater rides with the longboard. . .
