@@francmittelo6731 - All the top 40M QBs have a great coach and schemes. Mahomes, Burrow, and Jackson come to mind. Both have worked under 1 coach in the NFL with a complimentary football team. It's what it takes to build a top tier team in the NFL. It's weird that Herbert haters don't allow him to have the same resources as his peers.
The reason why Herbert gets a pass is because the Chargers are the Panthers without him. He elevates the team. I am guessing you haven't watched the last 4 games?? Bengals are winning games without Burrow. Chargers are losing to QB2s. Winning without your #1 draft pick QB1 is a sign of a good football team supporting that QB1. There are also games were Herbert and his offense can score 30+ points and still lose due to a leaky D. The lions game comes to mind. Herbert scored a TD on every possession in the 2H. But so did the Lions.

Thats our guy, he wore #4 for us and dealt with the whole Ryan Leaf thing here, he knows who the team is, seen them at their worst, and now he is going to bring them to the best!
I feel like Jim is the type of coach that will reinvigorate the team and actually complement the talent with good strategy.

The Chargers need Jim Harbaugh period! If they want to fill the stands with Chargers fans (old and new) they need Harbaugh. He's a head coach that would bring leadership, toughness, experience, discipline, grit, accountability, he'd bring in a winning culture, energy, and so much more.

Harbaugh was a QB for the Chargers and he was the coach at USD, it's not like they're unfamiliar with each other. It probably just comes down to if they can strike a deal or not.

It's one of the best openings that's come up this decade. You got Bosa and old Mack, Herbert a young talented QB, a good tackle in Slater and a dawg in Derwin, with a saavy vet like Allan. To take a head coaching vacancy where you have a QB, someone to protect him, defensive line talent, a high IQ high motor guy in the secondary, and a 10k Rec Yard guy who can also mentor young guys. I don't think jobs like this come up often in Pro Sports where you check all the boxes of what a HC would want when starting to build a program.

Ok I'm not a member so I can't I add comments on live the live show but here's some things that need to happen in the NFL. 1 Mike Tomlin will do great with Kenny Pickett next year Kenny looked great with that new offensive coordinator. 2 Steffon Diggs has to be traded, get rid of him he is toxic to the Bills ever since he singled out Josh Allen last year. Josh looks panicked all the time now he looks like he's not having fun out there with Diggs.

Being a Chargers fan who has been struggling to find the reasons for letting this team continue to make my fall Sundays crappy and frustrating. The only way I can keep any kinda faith in the organization is hiring Harbaugh. It's Jim Harbaugh or no one(maybe if Mike Tomlin somehow ends up being the guy, then MAYBE it'd curb the frustration of not landing Harbaugh). With that said, unwise to be putting ANY KINDA faith in the Spanos family to pay him what he wants and get it done. In reality, itll just be another re-tred, like Rasheed Morris or Dan Quinn. Or More likely, an OC who's completely unproven,and cheap as fck. and predictably, another few years of mediocre 7-10 or 8-9 finishes; he'll never be a NFL HC again! And the cycle starts over.
