- Mark breaks down a few recent commercial projects he's done at Already Been Chewed that showcase the use of Vellum in organic, softbody destruction setups. From exploding fruit to tearing apart ginger roots, we will get to see a variety of interesting ways Vellum and its various constraint types can be used to simulate organic destruction in motion design.
Mark Fancher is Lead VFX Artist and Senior Motion designer at Already Been Chewed specializing in art directed simulations and proceduralism. Awesome work! Really great to see some of the processes you're employing to develop these shots. Just out of curiosity how long would a project like this take develop in Houdini aside from shading and rendering?
Hello Mark! Thanks for sharing. Is there any tutorial you would recommend to get in depth with this technique?
Great presentation.
But please SideFX, remind your speakers to turn off the night mode when the hold a presentation.
Makes it harder to see what is on screen and also looks attractive.
dude this is so nice. how do you learn this techniques....
Can anyone explain what type of Constraints was used to attach the watermelon pulp (grains) to the watermelon rind? I used RBD for the rind simulation and Attach to Geometry Constraint Type for the grains, but it doesn't work correctly.
galaxy brain lemon 😄
Why does your screen looks yellow lmao
