Door cable snapped! Alfa Romeo 159 2.2 JTS

Well, after 11 years of continuous pulling on the door handle, the cable connection between the door handle and door lock set finally broke!
So here goes the video showing you how to replace it.
Btw I think the cable cannot be bought individually. It comes with the whole door handle. I got mine from a friend that has a Alfa Romeo workshop. But I believe the cable can be repaired like the bicycle brake cables.
So try it!

Hi Rick!
The cable comes with the door handle so i think there is no part number.
One way for repair to use bicycle brake or derailer cables, where it can be cut to length and clamped with an aluminium end piece.
I have done that with my snapped cable and it seems to work, but it is as a spare. I have not installed it.

Are you saying if the water leaks into the door or water draining from the door drain holes?
Rain water does seep into the door when it rains heavily but there is one problem with the 159 doors, the inner panels have to be sealed properly else water will seep into the car. The speaker will get drench with water if water fills up fast enough in heavy rains.
