Ericsson hit everyone on this list
Some before it was cool.
He hit schumacher in the tunnel
I know he is soo annoying hits everyone under the sc
To be fair I believe his race engineer was joking.
I think Ericsson hit us
I was kind of expecting some footage lol
It would probably get flagged for copyright
that's exactly what i was waiting for . video that makes you read and look at the pictures
they cant include footage because of copyright issues
Yeah, I like the podcasts but these videos are like 85% reading text on screen and random stock footage, with the odd photo of the grand Prix thrown in. A lot of people enjoy these which is great but it's not for me personally
Me tooooo. *disappointed*
"2007 Fuji was held under heavy rain." That is one of the biggest understatements I've ever heard.
@Hot Rod clever fix haha...
And now 14 years later Spa
0:42 that's probably how they actually clean up the track considering all of the punctures.
Me: _sees Russell among the 6 drivers_
*pain.*
Pain.
Joy
Pain untill you realise that 4 of the other drivers on this list have take all but 4 championships in the last 21 seasons, which actually mean that this is a good sign?
well to be fair 4 of the six driver are world champs so putting russell whit them is looking good for him
Russell is overated...
Wow, I was expecting David Coulthard to be on this list.
His monza accident?
@@KingofFray No, just because he crashed so much, in so many unusual circumstances.
@@KingofFray his Monza accident was actually on the formation lap
Sad Russell noises.
Happy raikkonen team radio noises
To see how far Matt has come since the old Sprint Mode Championship days is incredible. From a Guy on his attic playing F1 to an esports commentator and WTF1 presenter. Keep it all up, massively support the way you use your influence in the Mazepin case as well, don't let anyone stop you from going your way!
Without Lewis crashing behind the safety car in Montreal, we would problably never have had the famous line: "Is that Glock? IS THAT GLOCK???"
*The commentator:* Is that Glock?
*Me a Brazilian:* ;-;
Bold prediction:
Grosjean is on the list after Ericsson hit him (Guys I really don’t know about this, it’s an incredibly risky prediction)
@yusuf kocaman Yeah ik
Closed pit lane + Lewis Hamilton = Hamilton f**k up
He just doesn’t like being told to stop
@@hazzardroid1394 lmao sim dane released Lewis Hamilton : don't stop me now
@@lmao7439 ayy person of culture
Its surprising that WTF1 forgot to mention that Hamilton's crash during the 2018 German GP was also under the safety car!
@@Mika-vk3mm 2019 german gp . Well everyone was crashing there and it was wet so he might have not taken it up
And it's also written 6 drivers so he took drivers not the times so
George is in very good company here. 2 GOATs, 4 champions and our dear Romain. Nothing to be ashamed of.
So it's really the "mistake of champions"
And Grosjean
And Grosjean and Russell
@@un6250 Grosjean and Russel are GP2/F2 champions
Alonso isn't in that list.
Lewis Hamilton Germany 2019?
2008 was worse. His fuck up retired 2 cars with him. In Germany he only screwed himself.
he managed to finish the race in this video all of them are retiremants
He didnt crash in 2019
@@georgekourou8963 really?
Lol like half the grid for Germany 2019
Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton, Button: All of them are WDC's
Russell: There still is hope for me
Specifically made for George Russell😂
thats not funny
FACTS
@@l_poci_ facts arent meant to be funny
@@ecoli1416 then why is he laughing "😂"
@@l_poci_ that's why there's a meme "that's funny because it's true"
"I think Ericson hit us".
Saw you doing commentary in the e-sports race. Planning to replace brundle now eh?
lol
He already replaced brundle
Alex brundle
he also did some F2 last year
Hamilton and Vettel Azerbaijan 2017
Yeah but not that big than these on the list but could be up there
I mean it was a wheel bump and both carried on after it.
@Mc slime boy 33 Vettel ran into Hamilton.
I was about to say that every one of the drivers in the list have gone on to become World champions, so thats a big plus for George, butttt then i remembered Romain is in there too
Romain was a good driver. They just needed a good car to get equally good results, nothing necessarily wrong with that.
Grosjean has scored podiums, and I'm sure he could do the same again given the right machinery: there are many, most even, F1 drivers whose careers have been neither as long nor as successful as his.
@@joelambert7128 he’s also doing well in Indycar
2:17 not so much if ur from Poland
According to Hamilton's own autobiography, he looked up to see if the light was red and looked back in front of him and couldn't react in time
The armchair enthusiasts don't have a clue just what the driver is having to concentrate on during the race, especially when fighting up front. Hamilton would have expected his team to get him out first, like he came in. Needless to say, as it was McLaren, they failed! Interesting too how much of the trolling is anti-Hamilton.
Not a BAME issue though.... just genuine "fans"!
@@Cabinessance You will have to take my word for it that I am indeed a Hamilton fan - I know that a lot of criticism directed at him is in bad faith, but the pitlane speed limit is 60mph: everyone who has ever driven a car knows what 60mph feels like - most of them don't bin it at every set of traffic lights.
Schumacher did it twice he also spun off into the gravel at the 2005 Chinese GP just on the lap the safety car was due to come in.
"6 F1 driver that have been hit by Ericsson"
Overused
just 52 days left. f1 is almost here
And it will be mercedes winning at least 70% of the races...
@@Idfk16_ yes but racing is coming and thats what matters.
@@Dr.Doomsday19 u can watch Racing this month.
@@Idfk16_ yea but I want to watch f1.
@@Dr.Doomsday19 why? It's sooo predictable. Yeah, i know there will be a couple of BONKERS but mercedes and ESPECIALLY hamilton will be too op. No chance for a title fight. Formula e is more exciting!
It's peculiar when you see that some of the most successful drivers in the sport, happened to crash in such embarrassing incidents
Great video today keep it up your doing amazing job
This list contains 19 world championships 🤯🤯
4:10 thanks man, i WAS having my dinner :))
😅😅
"For these 6 F1 drivers" wait? Those are all some awesome drivers... some multiple time champions...
Matt: "George Russell, the 2020 Emilia Romagna GP"
Me (a GR fan): Pain
3:45 Yeah, let's not mention that Hamilton brake-tested Webber and Vettel collided with Mark because he couldn't see him in time...
Even the FIA said that it was not Vettel's fault afterwards... But I guess this fanboy didn't want to mention that
@@abhiverma9316 Yeah, but gave them the 10-place grid penalty for China anyway, and finished 4th in that race!!
Why after all this years people still don't know that famous "I think Ericsson hit us" wasn't said by Grosjean but by his race enginer
The Canadian GP 2007, as well as 2008, saw someone crash behind the safety car.
Jarno Trulli in the Toyota pitted behind the safety car and on his way out of the pits just went straight off the road at turn 2 and into the wall.
That race also saw more "red light at pit out" shenanigans, with both Massa and Fisichella getting disqualified midrace for ignoring the red light and exiting the pitlane when it was closed.
5:26 don’t bring this up again, don‘t bring this up again 💔
shut up fanboy
Kimi and his engineer showed Russell no mercy with their exchange when George crashed . As a Kimi fan given 2020 was a pretty miserable I had to take any positive I could get from my mans season . On the basis that it helped Kimi score a rare 2020 George crashing behind the safety car at Imola was one of my highlights of the season . I did feel sorry for George in Sakhir though.
Agreed. I remember just how coincidental and funny the conversation timing was.
Kimi's Engineer: OK, Kimi. Currently we are P11.
(George Russel ahead spins)
Kimi: Oop! Williams is off at this point.
Engineer: Oh! OK. Good, I can see. Perfect, that is one less. P10 then. That was an easy pass!

would have been good to actually see clips of them happen.... but nice try with the graphics and pictures
2007 European Grand Prix.
Liuzzi crashes (nearly into the) behind of the Safety Car.
Love ur videos matt
Both Hamilton and Russel crashed behind a safety car in their second year in formula 1
Hamilton, Russel ... and Bianchi :'-(
Russell to be World champion within the next six years, confirmed.
Button in Williams in Italy 2000 crashed behind the safety car - 2009 champion
Russel in Williams in Italy 2020 crashed behind the safety car - 2029 world champion ???
I’m not ready to wait so long
If Schumacher had indeed won that Monaco GP in 2004, he would've had 13 consecutive wins that season, that's insane
My favourite channel for F1 Vids
HANDS DOWN.
It would be fantastic if u add some videos not much but at least 5/10 seconds along with the information... Matt is expert though, he explains such a way that we can draw a picture though, but a video footage would be awesome... Cheers Matt✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
The most significant crash behind a safety car is Jules Bianchi, Rest in Peace Legend
0:52 Schumacher should not have backed the pack up because that’s the reason why button went off the circuit
Don't forget in Baku when Vettel crashed into the back of Hamilton, proceeded to blame Hamilton and then crashed into him on purpose.
George: That was the biggest mistake of my career
Alex: GEEEOOOOOOOOOOOORRGE
Jules Bianchi 😢
There doesn’t appear to be any footage of the incidents?
I think due to copyright issues but you can look them up on CZcams
Grosjean is going to a series where the 6 time and defending champion once crashed at Indianapolis the same way he did at Baku.
I can't remember who it was, but before the 2002 Brazilian GP, someone crashed into an open door of a medical car that had come out to deal with a stricken car before the race had even started. Very fortunately no one was hurt. I know it doesn't count, but I thought I'd mention it.
An updated video is needed with Latifi in the mix.
Add Mick Schumacher Emilia-Romagna GP 2021
In Germany there is a saying “Der Apfel fällt nicht weit vom Stamm” that’s what happened there
So your saying that if you crash behind a safety car you are automatically a f1 legend
*Thanks wtf1!*

Even when Hamilton and Rosberg weren't teammates, they still crashed into each other.
Also, Webber and Vettel, as it turns out.
@@daninagy4173 Also Vettel and Stroll
Simply simply lovely video
1:59 man hated that race. What Shummy did was the equivalent to a brake check on Montoya and in a tunnel!
2:31 Bro was born in 1992
imagine doing that on a virtual gp
they could have do that back then cause it would not be trending on instagram
Romain also crashed in the 2014 hungarian gp behind safety car period
@yusuf kocaman yes he had broken suspension
Hamilton crashed two times under safety car but nobody really remember it. Do you remember when he crashed at Hockenheim in 2019 before his nearly 60 seconds PIT stop ? It was actually under safety beacuse it was one lap after Leclerc crashed there too. I am suprised that nobody remember about it
There is also Palmer who crashed in the 2016 or 2017 Brazilian GP just after the pit lane entry
Honorable mention: Juan Pablo Montoya smashing into the track dryer in that nascar race
Grosgean didn’t say that Ericsson hit him it was his engineer
5:20 I'm just gonna leave this here...
The sequel to this should be, F1 Drivers That Have Crashed INTO The Safety Car!😮😛
1:19 just like russell
he definitley could be another lewis in the making. Although with more competition maybe not as dominant
Grosjean Hungary 2014. It was his first time crashing under SC.
yeeaahh
Still remembered how MSC crashed under the SC at Monaco 2004.
Didn’t the safety car mentioned in the Jenson Button entry come out because of a crash that killed a marshall.
I remember Ericsson crashing in Monaco while behind safety car
Nice selective memory about Monaco 2004.
Many champions in this list. Go on George
Crashing behind the safety car is a normal occurrence for me on online f1 2020
Didn't Vettel also crashed into the brake marker during a Singapour or Abu Dahbi race ? (didn't remember the track but it was a night race)
So, that's about 4 World Champions, 5 podium finishers... and George.
Technically, some 6 drivers crashed at a restart at the Tuscan Grand Prix in 2020.
Marcus Ericsson at Monaco 2018.
Something in common with all of the drivers on this list. They're either a world champion, finished on the podium or have been tipped to be a future World Champion (the latter one wouldn't have been listed if Mercedes didn't mess up his pit stop and he didn't manage to get a puncture when he was in 2nd).
Could you do a video comparing Grosjean to Maldonado please?
Russell felt understandably bad after his incident, but the fact that the three drivers with more wins than anyone else in F1 history -- Hamilton (95), Schumacher (91) and Vettel (53) -- have all crashed under the safety car, shows it can happen to anyone! And for Schumi, it was the only interruption to what could have been *13 wins in a row* at the beginning of the 2004 season. Unbelievable!
I like those videos but it would be lovely to include video footage if possible.
For a non native english speaker like me it would be so much nicer to understand and visiolize.. :)
I think they can’t because of copyright
I hope 2021 brings us "Drivers that have crashed INTO the safety car"
Weird two of them happen to hold the record for most World Driver Championships. Guess everyone has off days.
They aren't simply stupid mistakes. Driving an F1 car under the safety car is more difficult than driving it full speed on an empty track. At slow speed, the tires are cold and there's absolutely no downforce. It's exactly like driving on ice
in the 2021 emilia romagna grand prix george russell also crashed, coincidence?
they should add a danger car where they place a drunk person in a car and all the racers must follow that car
Is this a podcast ? wish there was footage
2018 baku was my favorite.
Funny that the list consists of Multiple current and future F1 champs.
why the pit exit was closed at the savety car?
Grosjean and Ericsson are both driving in Indycar next season, this is going to be fun😂
What about Luizzi almost crashing into tge SC at the European GP 2007? Yes THAT race
ahhh yeah
3:06 where is Schumachers neck...
Vettel at fuji 2007 doesnt tell the whole story. Lewis was leading followed by mark and seb. Lewis went off line and slowed for no apparent reason and forced mark to slow down aswell. Since it was raining like crazy, seb didnt expect mark to brake for no reason in that fast corner and didnt see him in time
Hamilton incident isn’t a ´´behind the safety car´´ incident. It happened in the pit lane. If something it happened under safety car.
and nobody talks about the fact that Fuji 2007 would've been Webber's best ever result at the time (P2) if Vettel hadn't crashed into him. Oh, how times change...
JB looks like Ocon at 0:23
Bottas spinned in China 2017, but he didn't damage the car, but lost 6 or 7 positions and finshed 6 because of it.
