The "two sided tape"that you used is called VHB tape. It's the best option on the market for sticking anything together. It's actually used in sign making, vehicle manufacturing and so on because of its strength and its lifetime of adhesion.

Lmao!!! When I watch my older video's I cringe. The "um" thing was a big issue. But to answer you're question, these hour meters are great and last through mud and water.

would this meter be called an inductive type? Does the meter use battery? Do you know anything about types that use vehicle battery to power meter? What other styles of run time pickup are available?
This is an inductive hour meter and it is battery powered. There are other types of hour meters that can be wired to a vehicles ignition or through an oil pressure switch, but I think you already know that :) I don't know everything there is to know about hour meters.

I know Jack Shit about electricity... so the Hour Meter is powered or "starts the clock" by wrapping the Meter wire around the coil wire?
