I couple of years ago, I read an article on improvisation by a professional musician and a university professor in music studies. He had the same points as you. To be able to fully improvise, you have to know what you're doing, your instrument, and what "the rules" are (so you can break them creatively). The camera and the streets are almost like an instrument, and you have to practise regularly.
"The camera and the streets are almost like an instrument, and you have to practise regularly." - perfectly put 🙏🏼
Totally agree, improvisation is the most important skill in street photography. I’m so pleased you addressed this topic and with a great example of the lady in the doorway and with the man passing by in front of her, that was a superb shot.
Thank you bro!
Being ‘In the Zone’ is so important, every time I go out I curse myself when my mind wanders off and I walk past an interesting shot but obviously we can’t maintain that level for extended periods so I choose a ‘boring location’ every half hour, or so, and review my shots or check my manual focus distance scale and battery level or stop for coffee etc!
💯 agree Eren, this only comes with hundreds, thousands of hours out on the street, no substitute, excellent video 👊👊
Thank you, Eren. Your comments are absolute gold. Many thanks,Peter
Thank you Peter!
Totalmente de acuerdo , la fotografia de calle es la mejor escuela , hay que estar ahi , en el juego, el que divaga pierde .
Simple yet most important skill while on the street. Eren can you also elaborate on missed shots in an another video? What can you learn from them.
🙏🏼 will do

@@erenjam😎😁👊 hope Yr good
Agreed 👍.. imho too many YT 'street' shooters are wait at a doorway, tunnel, shadow and light area and take 30 shots...😢
What camera did you use for the photos and video?
Why 4:3?
Sometimes I wish I could be invisible to be able to take my time and shoot good street photos without any shame or look of the people around me.
I like the man with umbrella and lady with phone because the man looks more classical and conservative, while the lady is taking selfies, and there’s a bit of a judgmental feel from the man
