My neighbor had pink Lamborghini from 1980 when I was 16. I couldn't afford it in my dreams but the neighbor was cool enough to give me a ride to school before he sold it
I dont comment a lot, but for months ive been absorbing yours and others techniques, and ive been picking my local thrift shops for grab bags of cars, ive found old lesneys worth 10 to 30 bucks according to ebay, in 5 dollar grab bags, its awesome. THIS Lambo conversion is something ive been wanting to do with a couple of castings, not lambo ones but others like a VW and a truck ive found. but it was especially the paint techniques that grabbed my attention, the clear coat thru the airbrush, i had stripped and re painted a couple of castings with a metallic blue with silver flake, and clear coated them, and they look like they were basically dipped in resin lol, thank you, for all of your how to;s and tips, and in general, just taking the time to share.
I've noticed a jump in your car quality and skills lately. Vids are to the point and straight through and as always we can go back and watch your old vids if we want to know anything.
The later models were stylized like this so that Lamborghini could keep selling them while keeping up with the times. It's similar to how the Gallardo was redesigned for the changing trends.
The Countach really deserves a proper re-release, with correct proportions and all. You've done a wonderful job to what looked like a car beyond saving.
The original Countach shape is my favourite, I love the prototype even more, as I feel that its styling is even cleaner. You've done a fantastic job with this conversion!
It shouldn't really matter for most of your models, as they're display pieces, but you can get superglue (cyanoacrylate) to bond much stronger using baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). The latter acts as an activator and increases strength of the adhesive; the combination of both can even be used as a filling cement of sorts! Just sprinkle it over the still wet superglue, and blow off the excess when dry. A little trick I picked up on a while ago, not sure if you're aware of it - just thought I'd share.
Lamborghinis are so striking and powerful, they make a statement other sports cars just don't, most of the time a sports car attracts the eye by being beautiful to look at and alluring, but a Lamborghini gains your attention by instead making itself impossible to ignore. Really beautiful paint job, I especially liked the play between the red of the tail lights and the emerald.
When hot wheels put it out there it was a great looking, cool toy. When you put it out there it is an exceptional looking, finished product. Never thought about doing anything like this, myself, but I can certainly appreciate your craftsmanship and dedication.
Excellent restoration to bring this gem back to life! What a Huge difference! Wow! Another favorite part of this video is 6:31 I know a lot of customizers that fail on this part. I've noticed my customs have been coming out much better allowing the paint and the clear coat a 'few days' to cure. A know a lot of people are impatient 😄 I like this video a Lot. Thank you for sharing👍🏽
Damned impressive. I very much liked watching this mod. I'd perhaps have raised it just that little bit extra personally but if it's not rolling it's all about looking gorgeous, which it does. Excellent work!
This is a really nice custom. As a kid I loved this car and likely destroyed 5 or more of the toys playing in the driveway. They were really fast on the tracks when new.
Awesome work - my new favourite video of yours! Love how you managed to recapture the clean lines or the original unmolested Gandini design. Really noticed the effect of picking out the panel lines too. As for the lowering job - brilliant. Really pleased you swapped out the nasty flat Renault Fuego style rims for some proper deep dish versions too - in fact would have liked some info on the wheels in the vid.
Wow that looks awesome. All your filing, scribing and reshaping made a big difference. Very nice detail work with the black and red. Gorgeous green too!
Great build as always......... Just a thought for a gloss finish coat, I've found dollar store clear nail polish through the airbrush works great and cheap per volume purchased.
Even though I was out of my childhood collecting phase when this HW car was released, I do remember it and I laughed in agreement when you commented to the effect of how HW managed to make an iconic car of the 1980's so bland. And while I am not a Lamborghini guy, what you did with your modifications to the original design is simply incredible. I had to do a double take when you show the model with modifications in the primer stage. The final results are impressive, and the tips are, as usual, very, very helpful. THANKS!!!
Amazing work! How long did it take you? If you don't like this Hot Wheels version of the Countach, how do you feel about their tooned casting? I hate it, and that's an understatement.
I am a great fan of the wheel arches and wings of the LP5000, along with a gold on black paintjob. I have a 1:18 scale model of it since forever and was a long time my all time favorite car. In recent years this has actually changed to the Muriélago, that thing is just gorgeous! Nice work on the detailing though!
Nice piece, it looks so much better than what it started as, excellent work! I think you really captured the distinctive Italian look of the car very well.
Just found your channel today! You're great at this restoration-customization stuff, and I like your narration. Enjoyed this particular video a lot. Keep up the great work!
Not the colour I'd have done but after seeing it it looks fantastic. You made a great LP400 conversion too. I loved the wildness of the LP500S with its flared wheel arches and wing but the toy's ones were ordinary. Fantastic job, mate. Well done.
I always thought the same thing about hotwheels iteration of the countach, really didn't give the car justice. Seeing this LP400 conversion, I'm seriously considering trying this out. I have a scratched up white countach that always had bent axles. Might be about time for an upgrade lol
My neighbor had pink Lamborghini from 1980 when I was 16. I couldn't afford it in my dreams but the neighbor was cool enough to give me a ride to school before he sold it
Bro your lucky af
Very cool
@Zack Smith Who doesn't want a ride in a Lamborghini
@Zack Smith it's not every day you get a ride in a Lamborghini
@Zack Smith what do you mean by that

mike james Thanks for commenting and watching!
baremetalHW That turned out so good, love everything about it! Hope you'll do more lambo's that need help? Again nice job!
mike james you have better grammar than any other commenter on CZcams
@@baremetalHW everybody loves a short and sweet reply from a creator after they've written a lengthy, detailed comment. Haha
I found 1960-70's english lesney matchboxs too
I've noticed a jump in your car quality and skills lately. Vids are to the point and straight through and as always we can go back and watch your old vids if we want to know anything.
lol at 2:22 i carefully blew on the screen on my Ipad trying to remove the metal scrapings xD
I agree the LP400 was a much better looking car.
davebuts I like the wing though
it's cus u probably like starwars "use the force!!" get it? cus u get lots of down force with it
davebuts oh yeah it is
The later models were stylized like this so that Lamborghini could keep selling them while keeping up with the times. It's similar to how the Gallardo was redesigned for the changing trends.
davebuts yeah
it actually looks better
that is kind of the point
That was the point
Your mom looks better.
Is she single?
Beautiful custom work, and result.

You've done a fantastic job with this conversion!
I think its a great car but for the next time i would also paint the interior to match the car a little bit better
I thought the same thing. Black or brown. Though the smoked windows might make white even better.
I would have painted the plastic white
Please do more like this....
This was so good!
i agree the LP400 looks way better
nice job!
I think they were going for that "Wolf of Wall Street" look.. after he drove home from the country club.
Slick machine man. Beautiful!

You gotta be careful with that though. I've had it make pitting before.
It always cracks me up to see you work on one that I used to have. My inner child just wants to scream "HEY THAT'S MINE GIVE IT BACK!"
this is one of your best redo jobs, blows the original away
I love that you showed the before and after versions next to each other. Thanks.
Stunning. Perfect execution

greatly executed, and thoughly explained. thanks for sharing.
Very nice! I probably would have gone with yellow, but you do great work!
Legion of Weirdos and then you could call it a lemon
AngryPyroBadger lol
Loving the fact you chose green for the LP400, mimicking the green "Periscopio" one at the museum, albeit this one is metallic.
Top work!
When hot wheels put it out there it was a great looking, cool toy. When you put it out there it is an exceptional looking, finished product. Never thought about doing anything like this, myself, but I can certainly appreciate your craftsmanship and dedication.
nice work. i appreciate your countach history knowledge as well. the fact that you made it have more of a lowbody stance is awesome!
Wow! That thing looks awesome! You did a bang up job on this one, congrats. :)
That is a huge improvement. This cars models always seem to look off no matter who made them.
Try Kyosho and autoart. They look like the real thing
Tommy Orr Jr
Yes, I have seen those at hobby shops in city's. I have a 1:24 polisti/Tonks version with lots of detail. It still looks off.

A hundred times better than the stock version! I wish this was an official release
Great episode. I like how you showed how to get the shiny green paint. Nice tip!
Another brilliant video. Very informative and the Lamborghini came out stunning!
Damned impressive. I very much liked watching this mod. I'd perhaps have raised it just that little bit extra personally but if it's not rolling it's all about looking gorgeous, which it does. Excellent work!
This is still the best u made and I'm glad someone did this always hated how disfigured it looked
massive improvement, your finished car looks more like a larger scale model kit rather than a "toy car", great job!
This is great! Thank you so much! I have to jump into the game one of these days!
This is a really nice custom. As a kid I loved this car and likely destroyed 5 or more of the toys playing in the driveway. They were really fast on the tracks when new.
I wish I could give this a million likes
This custom finish is eye catching especially with the green

I love this one!!! Might have to attempt to do one like this. It came out so rad!
This is a excellent job. The Countach looks so much better this way!
I honestly prefer the lp-400s just "because race car" but I can see why you like the smoother pines of the lp-400. Anyway, great build as always
Smooth transitions, man. I thought at first you had several cars in separate stages. Also very cool custom.
Nicely done. I am hoping to do the same to the 50th anniversary version of the countach. Thanks for sharing
Great work! Thank you for sharing this, as I now have an idea how to improve mine.
Man I wished this guy came back he’s the goat of all Diecast channels
That looks way dope!
Applause! Marvelous work, Sir, and a HUGE improvement over the original issue.
Turned out way better than the original nice work👍🏼
Wow that looks awesome. All your filing, scribing and reshaping made a big difference. Very nice detail work with the black and red. Gorgeous green too!
This was an amazing job. Loved this car as a kid in the 80s also.
Successful custom job, now it looks OEM. Outstanding! Side note - It would have looked more OEM in pearl white.
You've put in love with this custom and that shows. You're amazing
I liked your version much more than the original. Looks great.
Thanks for making it green!!
perfect color
Green corlor ov jelly u tuber
Great build as always......... Just a thought for a gloss finish coat, I've found dollar store clear nail polish through the airbrush works great and cheap per volume purchased.
Excellent idea, contagious enthusiasm, articulate explanation, and great skill. Thanks for taking the time to make this.

You have improved monumentally since this time. I enjoy watching your work.
Amazing work! How long did it take you? If you don't like this Hot Wheels version of the Countach, how do you feel about their tooned casting? I hate it, and that's an understatement.
Wow that paint came out Marvelous!!!! Love the detail work & taillights I give it 2 thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼
I've had that car since I was a kid and have always felt the same way about it--the model didn't do the car justice. Great mod!
I had that one on my first Christmas some time around 1988-89, along with sheriff patrol, vampyra, and sol aire cx-4. :)
massive improvement *!*
That's an amazing difference! Looks so much better. Awesome content!
unbelivable job on this Lambo, great work! I will propabobly do a custom Countach SV with this old casting myself
If the frame were lowered even more and the tires were underneath the finder well this would enhance the look even more. Great job.
Superb job. Very inventive. End result is quite the transformation from the lacklustre factory example.
How I wanted my hot wheels to look like as a kid with all the detail and nice panel lines.
An awesome job restoring and customizing that exotic.😊😀👏😁👍
wow! badass custom!
Turned out great, that color is amazing!
They should hire you as a designer. This car looks 1000 times better after you finished it.
This car end up so amazing man.. Make more custom builds from now on dude, you're amazing.
Looks loads better now that it did before, nice job 👍
Duuuuuude, this is the best car I've seen you do. The metallic green looks awesome.
Countach is still my dream car! You did an amazing job, Beautiful.
I am a great fan of the wheel arches and wings of the LP5000, along with a gold on black paintjob. I have a 1:18 scale model of it since forever and was a long time my all time favorite car. Looks so much better. Nice body work, great job!
Beautiful transformation, looks 1000% improved.
tremendo !!!! una belleza
Awesome job man,you went far and beyond of what I was expecting!!
Nice restoration work I really like the way this one turned out.
Nice piece, it looks so much better than what it started as, excellent work! I think you really captured the distinctive Italian look of the car very well.
Hermoso trabajo el que haces, felicidades!!!
I'm all about detail, looks fantastic 👀🖒
Looks great I'm going to try and fix my countach now
Just found your channel today! You're great at this restoration-customization stuff, and I like your narration. Enjoyed this particular video a lot. Keep up the great work!
This is outstanding. Hot Wheels should do one just like it and credit you some royalties.
An amazing transformation! Love it.
Not the colour I'd have done but after seeing it it looks fantastic. You made a great LP400 conversion too. I loved the wildness of the LP500S with its flared wheel arches and wing but the toy's ones were ordinary. Fantastic job, mate. Well done.
Fabulous job on your custom!! As always another great video!
Super clean. I still prefer it with the wing though.
Recently discovered your channel and spent this weekend binge watching it. This video is top's. You took a horrible example and made it look brilliant
This brings back memories of the good old "Need for speed" games. Countach SV an all.
I love that style of Lamborghini! I always wanted one in black.
I always thought the same thing about hotwheels iteration of the countach, really didn't give the car justice. Seeing this LP400 conversion, I'm seriously considering trying this out. I have a scratched up white countach that always had bent axles. Might be about time for an upgrade lol
Great customization
Looks really great. Wish it rolled.
HamburgerExplosion it rolls... just not very well..lol
baremetalHW can i ask a question how do you open the car? my dad and i wanted to try this but we dont which tool to use to open car
You have to drill out the rivets on the base.
Nice video, :)
i also really like the Lamborghini Countach LP400,+ the car looks way better now after you modified it.
one of the best customs ever. i watch this video once every month. very satisfying result.
Looks much better!!
