- Royal Rumble 2024 is officially over and as you guys saw or heard, CODY RHODES HAS DONE IT AGAIN. With rumors of Rock vs Roman happening this year at Mania being spread around for months, even being teased by the Rock. Despite all that, Cody has one more chance to FINISH THE STORY. Unexpected is one way to say it, but overall the show was very very interesting, lets talk about it!

Make sure u come through for the Elimiantion Chamber watch along next time, we had so much fun tonight ❤️🫡
Pav u killing it fr. I see a noti I click.
Keep the watch alongs coming!
dawg, ngl, i’m not gonna wake up at 2am to watch Elim Chamber, lol, I’ll watch it when I wake up.
I'll miss El live stream as I'll be they're live, my first ever wwe ple.
Love you're videos though bro.
lol interesting? This rumble was so wack
I just came back from the rumble and I don't think the mic caught how loud everything was. We were all going crazy. The staff who works for the stadium said they've never had this many people show up there.
Nah that’s cap, yea the stadium had many people cuz those people along with me were expecting many surprise returns and maybe even the rock. This rumble was so wack
Yea it was loud
@@theworldisimmense so basically y'all played yourselves is all I'm hearing cause really??? You actually expected THE ROCK?!?
@@plshelpmeawkdough I think it doesn’t help that these same people were probably hoping he wouldn’t show up to win the rumble anyways
@@theworldisimmensenobody wanna see rock old ass
Kofi not saving himself from being eliminated was kinda sad, but apparently they retired that spot after the last two got botched.
Didn't he get hurt during one?
This Bronn Breaker guy seemed like a leaner and athletic Goldberg. impressed!
I mean... he's the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner.
You barely impressed, get the fuc out of here kid. 😂💀😂🤡😂🤡😂🤡
He was soo fast for his size 😂. Guy was zooming in the ring
I would absolutely love for the The Rock to help Cody Rhodes out like how Austin helped him in Backlash 2000
2000. Rock wasn't at backlash 2001 and Austin was heel at the time.
Trash
I have a feeling that will happen at mania
SAME , All thoose Roman wins with help have to end@@MegaPsycho84
I would like but I feel like it would be to big of a surprise that would overshadow Cody's win. Jey uso helping out would be great or like Sami zayn.
1:31 you made a really good point here, and something I’ve thought about for a while is how WWE used to actually seem like a real life sport. The way that the bell was rung before every match… it just seemed more like UFC back then… but nowadays, it’s just become less serious and more about flashy, pop moments like you described. The fans aren’t as much interested in the actual wrestling that happens.
That’s a lie. Back than it was more gimmick than wrestling especially the 90s . It wrestling popular is still big what are you talking about
@@Newportnews98 .. bro, back in the 90s people still believed it was real. These days, you have Cody Rhodes openly talking about how it’s fake in the press conference following the royal rumble. Kayfabe is a joke in modern WWE.
I feel like if you say for example the attitude era was more realistic to sports I'd have to disagree. I'm honestly not sure there's any era I'd agree that wwe was more realistic. Matches are way longer, the wrestling gets more time and attention nowadays. I know the easiest thing is to say stuff used to be good and now it's bad, but idk that what you're saying bears out.
@@yws4645no one thought it was real in the 90s. You're talking like it's ancient history.
no such thing. Solo doesn’t even have career path just run ins
Cody Rhodes vs CM Punk as the final two felt like an acid trip for an AEW fan. WrestleMania is going to be an interesting time for sure. Seeing Andrade was cool since I saw him wrestle live on Winter is Coming 2023 in my hometown of Texas.
Next years final 3 Finna be Cody, Punk & Max
Bro for real
Pav idk. I was in the crowd and we were pretty much worn down by the end of that Ko match. But the crowd definitely went insane during the cody vs punk endgame
Guys at the front row are usually same and they show no emotion.

The craziest part would have been that, despite all the allegations, the fans in the arena wouldn't have been able to resist popping for it!
Or should I say, POOPing for it...
Ur dedication is unbelievable the PLE just ended lol
I think part of why the arena was pretty tame with reactions was also because the PPV almost went to midnight EST but at the same time don't blame you for thinking it's also cuz of expectations of exciting comebacks/newcomers like Okada or even Hogan following the whole "maybe I'll be in the Rumble" promo lol
i was in attendance and everyone was expecting the rock at #30 and when sami came out alot of ppl left and yeah it ended at 11:30 we were DONEE
I don't wanna lie but did people really think okada was gonna be in the rumble especially after finding out his contract doesn't end till end of the month
Cause the rumble was filled with jobbers.

Bro for real the crowd really brought the vibe down
This year’s Rumble was very fun. The Women’s Rumble was SO good with many highlights from Naomi returning, Jordynne Grace making an appearance, Jade Cargill FINALLY debuting and looking AMAZING, and of course Bayley winning, man that match was so good. The Fatal 4 Way was an ok match but had an anticlimactic ending, but that’s just me. The U.S Championship match was very brutal with KO just beating the SH*T out of Logan and that ending was very clever and smart, glad the referee was smart here. Lastly, the Men’s Rumble while not something VERY special, it was still fun. Cody and Punk being the final 2 and giving us a good match, Andrade returning to WWE, Bron Breakker looking like a monster, and Cody actually winning back to back Rumbles, man what a time to be alive. While this may not be the best Rumble PPV ever, it was definitely a fun time.🙂👍
Yes! This! I’m so glad we are so spoiled with banger, after banger PLEs, instead of Great Balls of Fire, or Stomping Grounds.
Bro this was mad boring what are you on 😂 the crowd was dead too
Idk man, I watched it live and had the livestream with Pav going on, it was brutal. The women’s rumble was pretty good, the fatal four way sucked. Nothing really happened, they just fought for fives minutes, solo came out, took himself out, stack pin, and then Roman won. The U.S. title match was garbage and basically killed the crowd. The men’s rumble was so disappointing. It was so deflating making it higher into the numbers with no one interesting coming out.
@@onesaucynougat7471 I watched collision and after I watched the rumble, from what I saw, the us title match was just stupid and pointless, and the men’s royal rumble was a snooze fest.
@@BurhanKhursheedRatherhave shane o mac book the rumble like 2020
One thing I didn’t expect was for Jey Uso of all people to be the Iron Man of the match but hey I ain’t complaining too much, I’m glad they’re pushing him finally
I want jey to beat gunther for the title and then Gunther vs punk after he beats Rollins at mania
The women's royal rumble had alot of more fans cheering than the men's royal rumble 😭
and for good reason
The benefit of going on first.
It's like eating a giant burger and then immediately trying to eat another one. You're already full, so now you're struggling to make room to enjoy the second one.

RIGHT MAN WON
Cody's Finishing the Story!
It was a unique rumble because they really wanted to lean on all of the talent. building people up and showing off the roster was this years theme.
Well now I call the great khali coming back at wrestlemania not letting Cody finish his story 😂
Cry kid
The Great Khali will finish his story!
I wasn’t suprised that fantasy bookers on the internet didn’t like the Royal rumble lol. All The Superstars had that crowd at the palms of their hands. What a great show. And if required, more evidence, that real life is very different from the internet.
Good event. R Truth's antics during both the women's and men's rumble matches had me dying the entire night, especially when he threw jd into the ring after bron speared him just for jey to throw him out and the hot tag with dominik.
Cody definitely deserve it. He's been the hottest top star in WWE while his popularity with the fans just keep getting bigger and bigger. He's coming for Roman
Hottest top star?
Stupid cody fans are the reason wwe is going down
Punk never won a rumble match . This stardust guy won twice . Way super overpushed and forced
@@willg1088Yes. The person who sells the most is your top star, and that’s been Cody. WWE is going to cater to those who actually support their product with money, not overweight redditors on the internet. I’m sorry I had to break these news to you.
@@willg1088 wwe is going down how??
@@willg1088 Yeah WWE is going down... with marks and cagematch suckers that is
@willg1088 Cody's been WWE's hottest top star since 2023 and he had the most merchandise sells of last year. His momentum has been strong since his return in 2022 while in 2023 he definitely became the hottest top star because of his hard work and dedication that made his fanbase even more bigger.
Doms performance in the Rumble is very underrated. I can easily see him becoming this gens Edge
Better yet, this gen's Eddie Guerrero! He's just like his dad!
Absolutely agree. Dude just gets it. Yet... Mid Balor made zero impact as usual. Like he wasn't even in the match smh
Pav has been getting way more consistent, hopefully we get some storytimes on The second channel
It would have been great if punk returned at no.30 in this rumble instead of returning at survivor Series
I was initially disappointed that Punk didn't come out earlier. But then, after watching him wrestle, I was like, ok good call from WWE lmao
Live stream was so fun bro. Gonna tune in next time, love ur content pav🙏🙌
I was there in person and the crowd was absolutely electric from start to finish. Honestly, watching some of the clips back, the audio of the PLE doesn’t do justice to what it was like in person. We were losing our minds the entire time. Pretty sure I lost my voice
The crowd was dead in the mens match because there was nothing to cheer about. A lot of midcarders and no surprise returns
I hope people and wrestling promotions realize that doing events in baseball parks or open roof stadiums are always gonna have the issue of fans not sounding loud. The designs of those buildings cause the sound to travel upwards and not towards the ring like an inclosed basketball/hockey arena. Granted there were lull points in the PLE, but thats why fake crowd noise has to be pumped in sometimes to make up for the sound loss. Stone Cold and numerous other wrestlers have stated in the past that they much prefer arenas over stadiums because you can actually hear the crowd.
I thought I was the only one that though the Crowd was dead when Cody Won, It's such a Shame The Crowd was Silent.
The show was boring that’s why.
Bcz he us overpushed and always win
@@willg1088 gonna cry about it 😂
Keep up the good work pav your videos are fire 😀
You were spot on with the bit about fans' expectations. The women's rumble match was definitely better than the men's but the men's was still good. It's also important to mention that Lesnar was part of the match but had to be removed last minute.
Overall, I think it's the right decision to have Cody and Bayley win, the stories write themselves.
As for Punk, he'll most likely still face Rollins at some point.
holy shit dude !
Life got busy & i haven't paid attention to youtube that often but wow bro 189k subs !!!!

I was apart of that new orleans crowd on monday and we we were screaming from the top of our lungs. The miami crowd probably expected alot of surprises which i honestly believe we didnt really need. I heard that everyone was expecting the rock( who i was hoping wasnt in it) and mjf which is stupid cause hes still with aew
had to come thru the live to try n bless someone w a link so they could actually watch🙏🤜🤛
Yo JADE. MEGASTAR. The poses, the aura, bonus that’s she’s good looking aswell. If she can do promos well she’s the complete package… top girl for the next decade… we’ll definitely see her and Bianca for multiple manias
One of the BEST Royal Rumbles I've witnessed in a long time!
I was one of those people with the "too many expectations" and honestly I like this take from Pav cuz he's right, why can't we just enjoy normal Royal Runbles and enjoy what we got? I cant say I didn't enjoy the show cuz I did, WWE made it work using mainly guys that are actually signed there for once instead of having to call many forner employees or outsiders... You don't need surprise returns for a good Rumble surprise returns became more of a thing in 2008 cuz of John Cena but let's go back to 2007 where the current roster at the time put on a show especially the final 2 Undertaker and Shawn Michaels... The crowd probably was a lil too bland but I think us fans needa appreciate what we got more especially with WWE having more star power than they had like 2 years ago
It's 2 in the morning and you dropped this 👑
4am here
Ive never clicked on a video this fast. Was waiting for this!
Never noticed Brian's mitsubishi eclipse in the background before respect
Yeah bro,I was there live and we were going crazy , I feel like the way the stadium is set up, you can’t really hear how loud it is in there on the tv
As someone in the crowd, everyone seemed hyped where I was, but a lot of people around us were thinking that 30 was going to be Rock lol.
The rumbles crowd was insane I don’t know if you were there but it was something with they turned down the mics but it was crazy I have videos of it on my channel
I watched the Royal Rumble and a WWE event for the first time since 2019, and I care not what anyone else says, that was great. I got what i wanted, and I can't wait to see the rest.
As someone who was there the crowd was going crazy during the final 2, mostly punk fans and a few cody fans in my section however punk did get booed a lot when it came down to him and Cody
facts that crowd could've elevated the faceoff between cody and punk so much more but instead they were just dead
I was there in person and the crowd used most of it's energy during the Fatal 4-Way. After that it felt like the crowd was exhausted.
I’m going to compare the Royal Rumble to an MCU movie. People read articles and get excited only based off the speculated returns / debuts and completely ignore the fact that the match was great. Cody winning was a great decision. 8/10 match considering how dead the crowd was. Sucks Brock wasn’t there but i guess that’s what he gets for being a sick freak. Excited for WM 40.
Wrestlemania 39 was Infinite War, XL should be endgame
I was there last night at the Rumble, it was very electric in the stadium through the night, even if not the most vocal during the men's Rumble, it was energetic, it's just not easy to pick up with the cameras on TV, live experience and TV experience is very different and they went happy crazy for Cody winning
As much as I want to be mad about it, you can’t deny the ending to the KO and Paul match. Brilliant work fr!
You right. The crowd today is too invested in surprises.
I love how cody and punk casually put banger match during rumble
The watch along was fun, my favorite part was you just talking about random stuff during the US title match because of how bad it was 💀
As someone who attended, luckily my section was quite good but towards the end I could feel the energy get drawn out. I agree with your comments on the crowd expecting too much. We got Andrade back, and the roster is STACKED. There was no need for excessive returns. It was a great PPV for me and I got to see so many of my favourite wrestlers. Keep up the great content. Forever my CZcams wrestling 🐐❤
Anybody who thought the men's Rumble was bad most likely wanted a shit ton of returns and/or Punk winning 😂 those mics should have been turned up so much more because I really thought the crowd was dead. Also, the women's Rumble COOKED. Jade looked fucking fantastic.
i think the audio had to have been very quiet on wwe’s part because it was extremely loud in the arena. like it felt like a super loud crowd live
I like your ending too!! One thing that wasn’t said was Punks conditioning. He is older and visibly out of shape.. I’m hyped for Wrestlemania! Great video Pav 💯
I was in the arena and it was so loud
I personally thought the rumble was very dissapointing, of course I didn't mind Cody winning, and of course Roman couldn't loose the title, but I honestly think that Bayley didn't really need to win the royal rumble and in my opinion Owens should have won the US title. (Then again maybe it's because I woke up at 3am to watch it from europe and just expected a 5* show)
Bayley got a big Ole butt 🤤
Agreed. I don’t think Bayley needed the rumble win- they could’ve easily done an underdog storyline as she gets kicked out of her group, and people would be more immersed with her as she goes to wrestlemania.
@@Aqwtiny Exactly my point, Bayley has already achieved so much with the WWE and the women's division has plenty stars to push
I was there at the rumble the crowd was loud
How do you get invested in a movie you have watched a million times? Surprise element is what keeps fans at the edge of their seats
That ending were Cody pointed at roman gives me triple h vs Shawn vibes
I feel like the actual arena stifled the sound
Okada Vs Guther is going to be hard hitting if it happens
CODY BETTER WIN WITH THE ROCKS HELP AT WRESTLEMANIA‼️💯
R Truth was a whole vibe during the rumble 😂
I knew Punk was losing when he said "I didn't wait 10 years to lose to Dusty's kid"
0:50 agree there was 48k audience still no energy
I loved the mini match at the end of the mens rumble, was really not expecting cody winning but it was fire. Also how are people not talking more about Jordynne Grace, that was mind blowing for me.
I was there and the Tampa crowd wasn’t Quiet at all but they were a lot quieter than the wrestlemania crowd or the 2021 smackdown crowd💀
Bro when Cody won I put in my Jim Ross impression "BAH GAWD DAMMIT!"
Real ones were in the live stream
To play Devil's advocate, the reason why expectations were so high was because of all the reports saying that they had "something big" planned for the ending of the match.
I commented earlier on the crowd noise, or lack thereof, and there’s something interesting to keep in mind when passing judgment on what appeared to be a lackluster crowd. That said, it’s 2024, and the WWE was able to build a thunderdome during COVID featuring a sea of high def monitors replicating a packed house, alongside piped in chants and heat during timely moments that could confuse you of being the real thing. This issue here is, like others of it’s like, the stadium effect. I notice this during large, airy football stadiums during mania. It sounded dead, deflated, weak. Stadiums naturally have terrible acoustics as opposed to regular arenas. Most also include an open roof, which further dissipates sound. Not to say the crowd wasn’t a bit tepid, but I’d love to hear from attendants on hand. If not, as mentioned, it’s 2024. Acknowledge that. Build a sound contingency for the show whether it’s additional microphones or piped in assistance. As home viewers, we are naturally on edge. And if you’re like me you’re streaming on a 4K powerhouse coupled with big bang next Gen sound. So if you got it blasting and you’re expecting your internal struggle to be matched by a raucous crowd, only to be greeted with cricket, it’s let’s out a ton of steam on the action. It was so low, you could hear Roman direct LA to exit the ring asap post super man punch to make way for the final spear and clean ring pin devoid of what would’ve looked like a botched ref distraction in a non DQ affair.
You got a point but when when they cheered it went quiet quick and I can see the crowd just watching and recording. No hands up cheering. It's like they were in a museum and had to be silent
Yea I think the main problem was definitely the crowd the whole time it felt like they were quiet I think the loudest they got was for jade and jax but other then that they seemed a sleep
Honestly, i enjoyed both rumbles, the talent and spots, and how everyone played off each other in ny opinion was great 👍
Fam! Exactly. The crowd was so jaded. They need to move the Royal Rumble to Puerto Rico or the UK where fans set the Standard.
Punk losing is going to lead to a heel turn eventually 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The men’s rumble match was mid let’s be honest
@@BurhanKhursheedRather last year cody deserved it.
this year I don’t know man but I was mad at first but I got over it. I’m OK with Cody I guess🤷🏽♂️

Less than mid
The one bad thing about Royal Rumble season is people start universe mode predictions and get mad when it doesn't come to pass.
The crowd was chanting this is awesome when punk and Cody were at the end what do you mean lol
I suggest using headphones when watching PPVS. It Helps. ALOT
Back to back is crazy though
Cody is gonna finish the story Royal rumble 2024 was fire 🔥🔥
I thought both rumbles were great and love to see Naomi and Andrade return. But I realized people see the rumbles as returns and legends, but what I liked about both rumbles is that is was basically showing everyone how stacked the rosters has turned out. And what I like is that both were classic rumbles. The women’s match was pretty good, the men’s match had funny moments, an amazing final 4 which they basically had promos with eachother or with Seth, and most people thought cm punk was winning and people didn’t think that wwe would make Cody win back to back in the modern era, but here we are. Overall great ppv and can’t wait for mania!
The Women’s rumble was better. Naomi’s return is bittersweet, her TNA run was excellent
Bro why i india we can't see your live video after finished it show private
❤ However love from India
It should have been 2 nights. There were only 4 matches and only 2 for the championship. The idea of having a title match the night before/after a PPV has got to stop.
Florida is known for being one of the worst crowds so they actually did pretty good tonight 💀
Dude, above all that, not even mentioning that we had a TNA champ coming in the women's rumble again with Grace!
I have a Dolby atmos surround sound set up and even with this type of sound, the crowd still seemed kinda quiet. Great looking atmosphere but the crowd was kinda weird. Hopefully Philly represents better at Wrestlemania
Triple H books in a way where most matches have these main characters and their narratives, which is fine but when you really push it like he did this year, it renders the unpredictability and the sports aspect kind of useless especially in a rumble setting where that is kinds necessary. A good Vince rumble is a rumble with hella surprises and a thrilling, unexpected finish (Nakamura and drew). A good HHH rumble is a story driven drama where you just tune in for the few wrestlers that are the focus, which again, it’s fine but I was bored out of my mind because I knew which 4 wrestlers it was gonna come down to. And even then, I knew which 2 wrestlers it was gonna come down to. I only felt real genuine tension at Cody vs Punk.
A good Vince rumble is rare but like I said a good old-wwe style rumble is filled with surprises and an absolute out of left field winner which keeps the adrenaline and excitement going for the whole match, people expected that going into the match and that’s just not how wwe books things.
FYI - crowd was hyped all night. You’re not the only podcaster to say this. But the crowd was so loud, cops outside the stadium several blocks away heard all the pops and chants. It was something to do with the broadcast or mics.
In fact, I noticed this the next day when I watched the ppv on peacock. After being there, the crowd noise was not there at all. The fans popped for almost every entrant. I was actually alittle annoyed sitting in the stands. Lol
This is a great point. The show wasn’t bad at all just had such high expectations for no reason. MJF had signed another contract with AEW not too long ago so I had zero expectations for him to show up
I’m honestly happy that Cody won! Just wonder where that leaves Punk but I hope he still faces Seth Rollins
The pattern has often been that the Rumble runner-up ends up challenging for the other belt anyway. Very likely Punk will still be meeting Rollins on night 1 of Mania!
The crowd was fucking deaddddddd
