The Spirited Man is subscribed and also might like to watch this next --> czcams.com/video/4UtGHXkGCxk/video.html
Now this is sounding like it should !!!!
His manic passion is contagious.
Thanks for watching Alfredo. P.S. I love your sauce.
It truly is so. 🥺
Casey has perhaps helped Van here by getting an audience boost by promoting him, but Van clearly is a MASSIVE influence on Caseys creativity
agreed Meg, astute observation.
And you should see Tom Sachs' stuff, I think he played a big part as well.
@@diegopastor7515 I think ive seen it all 3 times at least :)
yeah, van was sachs' videographer or whatever, and then casey was a studio member under sachs, so while casey got "big" on social media before van, casey got big cuz the "neistatbros" was a thing first, and van did the vast majority of those early videos.
@@jasonfifi This. All of Casey's style and mantra was influenced by his big brother and Tom Sachs. He turned it into his own thing during his vlog period (he didn't invent daily vlogs, or made them big, as he sometimes like to say) but it's undeniable in his early CZcams videos.
I just want Van's CZcams channel to blow up so he can buy his dream car
It's gonna happen, thanks Lancine!
Ican wait for the movie of him getting this dream car. That's one of my dreams.
You know that Van is already a wealthy man, right?
@@texasranger7580 Is he?
@@andresbarriga5305 YES
I love how excited he gets when talking about his work, his passion.
thanks Chris
me too. it's so contagious. It's rare to find that these days.
Van is a breath of fresh air in the creator-influencer social media space. Vimeo quality short films on CZcams are a welcome course correction. Inspirational and aspirational in equal measures.
Thanks for watching Ryan
Thanks for filming them, @@BehindtheBrand. Two great videos about Van and what goes on BTS makes for great viewing.
Totally agree
I love Van’s willingness to share his creative process.
Thanks Allie
“Your workarounds is your style.”
Wow, I’ve overlooked that. This is what makes us, US!
Casey brought the SPARK when I was younger. Van brings the SPIRIT. Thank you!
Good recap Dave
van is my favorite youtuber. would absolutely love it if HBO rebooted "The Neistat Bros"; i think it'd do pretty well in 2021 with the accessibility of HBO Max
Thanks Ryan
This is fantastic. Van is my favorite dude on earth! His mind is fantastic.
Thanks Josh!
You can see how passionate this guy is by just his vibes.
He gets his power from his belt buckle.
Seems like he has so many stories and experiences to share and there’s never enough time...luckily he’s an artist!
Soooooo many...and more off camera Danni
Can’t get enough of this man.
Thanks for watching bro
Thank you so much for giving me a better understanding of how Van's mind and studio works. The spirited man brought me back from the dead❤️
Glad to hear you're alive -- now get after it!
I love the way Van thinks. I really enjoy his Spirited Man series. Thanks for showing me his workshop and thanks for the great interview that you did with Van last week. :-)
Thanks Shawn, you rock!
WOW,THE AUDIO IS BACK...
THANKS 👍👍👍👍
The Spirited Man never mentions it
His quote from Steve Martin about finding your style is brilliant, I never thought of it like that but it resonates with me a lot.
Thanks James
Awesome work man, this was awesome to see Van get excited and see his creative space.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the look of van’s face explaining his things
thanks Victor
my mother was an artist. i grew up around artist my whole life. the very best artist have always been a little off. they see the world different than most ppl. van is a true artist. i think this is why i have been watching his videos. you can see he has a prospective that is different than most ppl. i love to watch talented ppl do talented things (being not very talented in these ways myself).in a world where conformity is drilled into kids head today. its wonderful to see a true talented spirited man do his thing.
it so dope to see Van expressing him self like this he has such amazing good vibes !
Thanks King
Thank you for publishing this additional footage. Just so fing inspirational and such a valuable peek into how Van works. Such organization in that office clearly indicative of the quality of his work and intense focus on details.
Thanks for watching Paul
OCE, obsessive compulsive Enhancement! Freaking brilliant !!!
TM it
it is brilliant. I am just like van in so many ways, and I find order, organization and neatness really helpful and a big part of my life. Aside from the actual "disorder" that plague some people, I am glad I have OCE. Nothing satisfies me more than finding something exactly where I left it. I have never lost keys, wallet cell phone because of the "enhancement"
@@canadude6401 just the ability to not lose your keys is a super power. 😃
Love how he reclaimed obsession as a strength so matter of factly
You can see how passionate he is when he describes each project, love the spirited man series!
thanks for watching GC
I love Van's Enthusiasm and passion for everything he does!
Thanks for watching Bill
I love the fact that he has the book "A Light In The Attic". Prolly my favorite book growing up as a kid. 👍

Love this style too man! Hope there’s more to come like this
This was absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing, I feel so inspired!!
You are so welcome MM
Man I love your enthusiasm. Great work!
Thanks Tarmo!!
What really interesting is is that he keeps his idols and influences on a very present level. he mentions them all the time. seemingly never stops learning by cherishing them through his work processes. It's all there...
I don't know if I've come across an artist in my life that has inspired me more than Van Neistat has
Wow. Van is an American treasure with one of the most beautiful/creative minds I’ve seen in a very looong time.
Thanks for watching Dan
I love how the entire video is mostly outrageous production stories.
Van is one of a kind. I feel privilaged to watch his work.
that's nice of you to say Lynn
Love anything with Van. Thank you for this fine work.
Thanks Anthony
I love to see you so excited Van! Onward!
Gracias Miguel
Seriously Brillant!! Thanks!
I love Van’s content ... the most refreshing thing to happen to CZcams since his bro! The sort of chap I’d like to go on a run with and talk about life!
thanks for watching!
Thanks, very interesting!
A brilliant spirited man with a brilliant mind, a brilliant voice and thankfully for us viewers a brilliant channel.
thanks Dude
Big fan of the Neistat bros and Tom Sachs. Their minimalistic and industrial style of storytelling/filmmaking is inspiring.
thank you for sharing this
You bet Brett
“your work around is your style” definitely applies to both neistats’ early cut & paste type film making
This dude is insane. I love it.
thanks for watching
True creatives will not be held back. Thank you for this.
Word.
Its crazy how Van influenced Casey. Vans office man! Love it!
So Creative & Energetic !!
thanks Anik!
I love your energy Van ⚡️
Thanks for watching Fatty
Great video! Does anyone know what those military style boxes are outside his studio please?
Such a fascinating person.
thanks Hunter
Bryan this is a great video and guest brother, you know how and who to interview, big time
Thanks 🙏
Van is so creative and inventive. This spirited man has soul.
thanks for watching Kim
Casey is fantastic Van is amazing i hope Vans channel explodes!!!
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree
Van is incredibly interesting!!! I need more of this in my life!!!
thanks John
This guy is crazy. That's wonderful
Very interesting periods of effect!!!
This is golden.
Thanks David
2:48 Cody Ko! Dude crazy to see worlds collide
This is great!
Thanks Kacee
I’m blown away..
thanks
Awesome workshop! 😍😍
Thank you Kev!
The passion is real!
thanks for watching
This is what BTS is all about: partaking in off the cuff exposition by talents you've only heard in their cinematic voice
thanks for watching Tim
Wow talk about a perfect creative space
;)
There are lots of videos about William Strauss & Neil Howe’s “the fourth turning”
That was awesome to see.
Thanks Jim
The moment at 5:50 is hilarious
Genius!!
Van Neistat is my new favourite CZcamsr. His story telling is second to none. I’d like to start story telling in my videos, but they take a lot more time to make and talent than most people realise.
thanks Marcus
It’s so hard not to be amazed by this guy
thanks for watching
Fantastic
Thanks Dom
The fact that over 2 years ago he predicts "some horrible horrible thing" around 2028 is even more worrying now
Great video! What book is he talking about in regards to the wall? Sounds crazy interesting!
I'll have to have another look Trevor but you can check Van's video on his channel as he went into detail about it
It's The Fourth Turning by Neil Howe and William Strauss
@@simarsingh3742 thanks!
CZcams recommended the Maritime Hotel video to me last week, it only had 10k views at the time.
cool
I’ve got to know what the story behind the toaster on the top shelf. Totally intrigued
It was a wedding gift from Casey
Cool video of Van and his space...I don't see alot of tools, shrapnel or sawdust...does he have workshop somewhere else?
Yes. Its tiny. You can see it in some of his videos on his Channel.
Yep
The Spirited Man 😂❤
What a great dude.
thanks
let's go oscar boyson mention, need to see him more in the neistat verse
;)
I agree. OCO, obsessive compulsive order. It's NOT a disorder.
Spot on when channeled in the right direction
It's hard to find a less inspired "interviewer" than this. 5 minutes in and he is asking "okay, anything more noteworthy in here?". I'd ask so, so, so many questions to Van if I were to be in his studio!
Ha! Yes, it might sound that way but we had already hung out for 3 hrs and I didn't want to take up more of Van's busy schedule...Your should check out the full-length interview where I ask more thoughtful questions
🔥🔥🔥
thanks Bikram
Wow man you really does reply to all the comments.
On it like a bonnet.
@@BehindtheBrand thanks for showing the raw Van to the world.
He is a fascinating guy. I had always assumed Casey was the brains of the operation since he went on to such CZcams fame. Clearly I was wrong. I realized it when I saw Spirited Man and how close that was to the HBO show. Spirited Man looks like something David Byrne would make if he was making CZcams videos.
thanks Doug
I often find it helpful, when an interviewee is pointing out photos on their wall, that the camera operator pull focus to the photos...
Van is literally the only person on CZcams who’s processing speed is as fast as mine. I’m not saying I have the same quality of thought but easily quantity lol
thanks for watching Chris
Who is "BC"? The person he mentioned at 11:20
van are you a railfan? cool santa fe stationary.
Thanks for watching
Oh my god the Belt
Epic, right Andrew?
Anyone know the book he's referencing for the archetype wall?
I believe it’s The Fourth Turning by Neil Howe and William Strauss
I would love to be a fly on the wall in Vans studio
Or a Post It...
This guy is a genius
Who me? Thanks!
OCS: Obsessive Compulsive Superpower. But I don't think you're obsessive OR compulsive, otherwise you wouldn't be able to ship so many amazing projects with "rough edges". I just think you're someone who has direct, unlimited access to your ideas via physical and interpersonal pathways. A crucial distinction b/c so many "fix-it" people don't communicate or interact with others well.
The "OCE" moment sounded a lot like Larry David
I want a belt buckle with my name on it!
Might be in the works...
I feel Spirited Maaaan¡ xD
Rad
The Spirited Man is my spirit animal
thanks Joey
❤️
;)
What a freak video! Insane!
Insanely, good?
the maritime thing is on his vimeo
thanks for watching
