*Love the size and weight of this little jointer **MyBest.Tools** Easy to set up and light enough to pick up and put away. The adjusters and controls are dead easy to use. It has an aluminum deck rather than iron, but for those who are careful it should suffice, and it has a vacuum port that, unlike some other tools I have, actually gathers ALL the dust. Very happy with this for the price.*
Agreed. I do like it a lot and it's accurate enough for the work I do. I always use the "inside/outside" jointing method when I'm gluing panels anyway so it works well for that.
Thanks in advance as I'm sure this video will be helpful. I bought one of these jointers the other day a bit impulsively for fear that these imported tools are going to be hard to come by in the months ahead. For that reason, I haven't yet attempted assembly, but know I'll rely on your video more than
the instruction book when (WEN) the time comes....
BTW....If or when you come up with any solution to the wonky fence, it would be great to learn of your solution.

Yeah it works pretty well as is. I do plan on adding a support later though. It's pretty accurate, close enough for what I use it for. If you'd like really precision stuff I would add a secondary support of some kind. Just be sure you have adjustments on it because as the seasons change it would move slightly
I used it again yesterday and I got perfectly square corners. I guess it takes since time to get used to. I will make a support for it though
Does the extension table bars come off I have a pre built rotating stand that’s 33 1/2 and was wondering if the bars are removable so they won’t hit the sides when rotating?
Yeah they do (on my model, i don't know every model or revision) . It's two thumb screws and you can pull them all the way out. I have accidentally done this once or twice. 😆

It works well but I really should build some kind of support. It's accurate enough for the work I do but if I wanted this to be dead on I really should get something to help it stay still
Any updates on fixing the fence, I bought it this week, having similar issues
I noticed that it still wobbles I really have to secure that somehow. I found a lot is how I hold the piece as well. I can get really nice 90s but it takes time to get used to it. The fence is really my only complaint though. It works really well
If you dont already have a thickness planer .get yourself one you will love it... to go with your jointer
I have the Dewalt lunchbox dohicky (very scientific) I don't remember the model off the top of my head but yes it's amazing. I'm building a rolling stand that will hold both and have dust collection on it as well... I'm pretty sure I recorded myself making it but I haven't edited the video yet
Might want to just look into the Rikon if the fence moves that much. For people deciding to buy this or not
I'm with you. Do you have one? Can you attest to its accuracy? I got it better but it's still not prefect and if I adjust it I have to spend quite a bit of time getting it back
No don’t have one been looking at them. Watched a lot of reviews and read reviews and people seem to love them. They say the fence is well thought out and can easily be adjusted. But do your research as always to try and see what one is best. I just thought I throw that out there based on what I’ve seen and read. The fence looks much beefier on the rikon from an eye test as well.
I wonder if I can get a better fence and attach it. This one is "ok" at best. Thanks for the feedback. You find anything out let me know. Please and thank you.
Did you end up fixing the fence issue? Has it been reliable?
It is still a little wobbly I don't really know why. I have tightened everything I've seen but it still moves a little. I will say that the jointer is still really accurate but nothing like a jet or powermatic (obviously) but for a small shop like mine it works ok. I'm thinking about adding a second support behind the jointer that will secure the fence to my bench with fine adjustments. I would make a followup video for that, so make sure to subscribe and when it comes out I'll be able to give my honest opinion as well. Thanks for the question.

@@RobertsInnovations I have the 6 inch model. The fence is meant to be slammed all the way into 90 or 45 degree stop. Then tighten very hard. Then adjust the screw. There is one for 90 degree and one for 45 degree, My joints are perfect.
