How to Tie the Basic Bowline Knot in 4 Easy Steps, Plus 2 Cool Variations (Wilderness Knots Series)

The basic bowline is one of the most important wilderness knots you can learn. The easiest way to learn how to tie this knot is the 'rabbit and tree' method which involves 4 steps: Step 1: Make the rabbithole, Step 2: The rabbit comes UP through the hole, Step 3: The rabbit goes AROUND the tree, and Step 4: The rabbit goes back DOWN the hole.
