I think that Leon is the most realistic in Danganronpa. He had the most realistic reaction to being found guilty, he literally fell to the floor and cried, and then he started banging at the walls in an attempt to get out. It was obvious he had no idea that he would find himself in that situation.

Doing these events actually made me feel even more sorry for him when got that unfair brutal execution. Sure he killed Sayaka meaning he isn't totally innocent. But remember his mind was literally broken due to fear and paranoia after Sayaka tried to murder him as part of a plot to graduate by both murdering him, and framing Makoto for the crime in one shot. Like he said in the anime during his breakdown after being convicted of Sayaka's death "It's not my fault." "I had no choice she tried to kill me." "I had to protect us from her." "I mean she could've gone after any one of us." "If you were in my shoes YOU WOULD'VE DONE THE SAME DAMN THING!" So yeah not saying Leon's innocent, but saying Sayaka is 100% the innocent victim in chapter 1 is a complete lie cause she isn't.
neither of them are innocent: Leon didn't have to go all the way as far to get his toolkit to kill Sayaka. He could have ended it there and told everyone what Sayaka tried to do, but he continued with the plan of killing her after getting the bathroom door open. In Sayaka's case, it's fairly obvious what she did wrong. But in her defense, she didn't know about the trials, the punishments, and the fact that everyone else would be killed if she got away with killing. In the beginning, Monokuma only told them to kill without being seen, and they'd be let out. Also, Sayaka had one of the most justified reasons to try and kill Leon: to save her band members, who were practically family to her. I'm not saying Sayaka was right to try and kill, but I *am* defending her motive. Meanwhile, Celes had the worst reason to try and kill yet she gets a lot of love (although this is a different story). In the end, both made mistakes that got them killed. Neither are innocent, but I love both characters and wish they'd gotten further into the game/storyline.

Top Hat Devil {Cæl} it seems he does enjoy baseball but it contradicts with him not liking to be sweaty, shaving his head etc I see it like this in the heat of the moment while playing baseball he loves it but hated the aftermath of being sweaty and being forced to cut his hair just to play. Even if he went pro, he wouldn’t have to cut his hair anymore yeah, but he still will get sweaty after every game sadly. it’s like loving to eat donuts because they tastes good but hating the fact you gain weight from it and you start to hate donuts in a way because you know if you eat them you’ll gain weight.
Leon and so many other characters could’ve gotten so much character development. If they were just gonna kill them off first, then they should at least let them have more screen time

It's just unfair that the reason he's alive is for comedic relief. Like yeah, he's fun to be around (I genuinely think so), but there's just no depth in his character. He's not that smart and he doesn't contribute much. I don't hate him but he's one of those characters I like, but when they die I just go "oh he passed away? aww :(" then move on. Like...Mondo can get his gang together and fight despair, or Taka can soon lead the country to a good hopeful path, or Leon could use his fame to influence people then soon pursue music to help recover the world, and LOTS of other better characters that weedman survivor...
@@hugnboba I couldn’t agree more. There were so many ways they could’ve taken the storyline. They created so many well-written characters only to turn around and immediately kill them off. Personally, I think that Mondo, Sakura, Leon, Chihiro and Taka should’ve survived. They deserved to be further developed more than Hiro, Hina, and Toko imo (Toko had a lot of potential too but I think they milked the whole “Genocide Jack” thing).

Luxshana Jeyakumar i think sayaka’s plan to kill leon was like this Sayaka noticed that Leon had a crush on her and used that to her advantage by telling him to meet her alone at like 1:00 am, and Leon took the bait Also i think it would have been better for both of them if Leon thought about his decision first. He didnt HAVE to kill Sayaka, he could have left her there, went back to his room, and told somebody in the morning (maybe Makoto) (Actually yes, tell Makoto, even if he didnt know the rooms were switched) I blame Sayaka more than Leon, but really all this is 100% Junko’s fault tbh I bet Sayaka learned her lesson as soon as she fled to the bathroom

Basically Sayaka invite Leon in her room (Makoto s room)and attacked him,but he dogged and didn't get seriously hurt he didn't try to attack her, he had a little fear for his own life and actually tryed to calm Sayaka Maizono down.He tryed to grab the knife out of her hands so she can stop attacking. In the end Maizono, in all her fucked up wisdom, throws herself at Kuwata, essentially stabbing *herself* with the knife. Only.. it’s in Leon’s hand, and therefore, he is considered the culprit. Sayaka decided if she can't kill Leon then she would frame him for her suicide.And it actually works out since there are no cameras in the toilet and monokuma cant say for sure what actually happened so he executes leon anyway to kickstart the mutual killing game. #Leondidnothingwrong
I always feel bad when we used to do free time event with the balckened... For example, Leon. The way makoto and leon just having good conversation talking about help each other but by the time at class trial, all they will do screaming angrily and act like they dont know each other anymore....

The reason Leon quite literally got dragged by that metal thingy to his execution: Monokuma knew Leon hated baseball so he dragged him to the batting cage Monokuma knew that making Leon get by killed my baseballs would be the absolute worst way to go. Me and my girlfriend started watching Game Grump's playthrough of DR (which is actually how I got into DR in the first place), and we've caught up to where they are in the game right now, which is on the final chapter I think? Anyways, when we started watching, the two characters that I immediately became attached to were Leon and Taka. I was so damn upset when Leon turned out to be Sayaka's killer!! I mean, I kinda knew since her body was found, what with his name written on the wall and all, but part of me was hoping they'd pull a fuckin Ace Attorney on us and he was actually framed or something. My gf had watched the anime before, so she understood the story and kinda knew what to expect, and after Leon's execution, she was telling me how when she saw me getting all attached to Leon, she was like "oh shit, she's gonna be so fucking upset" and she was damn right 😭😭😭 So then once Leon died, I became overly attached to Taka, and that was fuckin devastating for me, too 😭😭😭😭 Just can't seem to learn my lesson, can I? They make these characters too god damn likable!!!!!!

In the beginning, Monokuma only told them to kill without being seen, and they'd be let out. Also, Sayaka had one of the most justified reasons to try and kill Leon: to save her band members, who were practically family to her. I'm not saying Sayaka was right to try and kill, but I *am* defending her motive. Meanwhile, Celes had the worst reason to try and kill yet she gets a lot of love (although this is a different story).
In the end, both made mistakes that got them killed. Neither are innocent, but I love both characters and wish they'd gotten further into the game/storyline.

It's just unfair that the reason he's alive is for comedic relief. Like yeah, he's fun to be around (I genuinely think so), but there's just no depth in his character. He's not that smart and he doesn't contribute much. I don't hate him but he's one of those characters I like, but when they die I just go "oh he passed away? aww :(" then move on.
Like...Mondo can get his gang together and fight despair, or Taka can soon lead the country to a good hopeful path, or Leon could use his fame to influence people then soon pursue music to help recover the world, and LOTS of other better characters that weedman survivor...
@@hugnboba I couldn’t agree more. There were so many ways they could’ve taken the storyline. They created so many well-written characters only to turn around and immediately kill them off. Personally, I think that Mondo, Sakura, Leon, Chihiro and Taka should’ve survived. They deserved to be further developed more than Hiro, Hina, and Toko imo (Toko had a lot of potential too but I think they milked the whole “Genocide Jack” thing).

Basically Sayaka invite Leon in her room (Makoto s room)and attacked him,but he dogged and didn't get seriously hurt he didn't try to attack her, he had a little fear for his own life and actually tryed to calm Sayaka Maizono down.He tryed to grab the knife out of her hands so she can stop attacking. In the end Maizono, in all her fucked up wisdom, throws herself at Kuwata, essentially stabbing *herself* with the knife. Only.. it’s in Leon’s hand, and therefore, he is considered the culprit.
Sayaka decided if she can't kill Leon then she would frame him for her suicide.And it actually works out since there are no cameras in the toilet and monokuma cant say for sure what actually happened so he executes leon anyway to kickstart the mutual killing game.

Idc what anyone says, Leon didn’t deserve to get executed 😭💔. He could’ve been such an interesting character if he would’ve lived a little longer or at least had more screen time 😔. I hope this doesn’t offend anyone who likes Maizono, but attempting to kill Leon is one of the main reasons why I don’t favor her.
Edit: Okay so looking back at it I honestly can't blame Sayaka for what she did. Although to most people it seems very insensitive, she had a good reason for doing so. I mean come on, she was a scared teenager trying to get out of a LITERAL killing game, and people still call her a "snake" or that she's fake cause she was going to pin the murder of makoto 💀 (despite Celestia doing way worse by manipulating Hifumi & no one seems to give her any flack for it 🤔, but I'm not even gonna get into that) . Even though she is still not one of my favorites, I must admit I do hate what happened to her and Leon in the end. Both were being pretty rational (at least for such a drastic situation) imo

Me and my girlfriend started watching Game Grump's playthrough of DR (which is actually how I got into DR in the first place), and we've caught up to where they are in the game right now, which is on the final chapter I think? Anyways, when we started watching, the two characters that I immediately became attached to were Leon and Taka. I was so damn upset when Leon turned out to be Sayaka's killer!! I mean, I kinda knew since her body was found, what with his name written on the wall and all, but part of me was hoping they'd pull a fuckin Ace Attorney on us and he was actually framed or something. My gf had watched the anime before, so she understood the story and kinda knew what to expect, and after Leon's execution, she was telling me how when she saw me getting all attached to Leon, she was like "oh shit, she's gonna be so fucking upset" and she was damn right 😭😭😭 So then once Leon died, I became overly attached to Taka, and that was fuckin devastating for me, too 😭😭😭😭 Just can't seem to learn my lesson, can I? They make these characters too god damn likable!!!!!!
