i honestly wish spending time with characters could change the story for example: Spending time with Kyoko until the end of the game would mean her being the killer would be less likely Another example is spending time with Leon and Mondo more, making them survivors instead of killers. (though that would mean the people they killed would be the killers, and theyd probably kill them)
That was going to be the original concept of Distrust, the “beta” of Danganronpa that was scrapped for being just too overall disturbing (Danganronpa’s disturbing enough so don’t ask why that’s what the devs said idk). They changed the deaths/survivors to be scripted quite early on in development though, probably because it would take ages to write all the different instances of dialogue between those who survived and those who didn’t. Edit: Hope those 2 years was worth the wait lmao
Chihiro is such a underrated character (I'm only going to talk about things from the anime, not the game and it includes spoilers) Most of the time, people just talk about if he is a trap, trangender, etc, but Chihiro is a very imporant character along with his Alter Ego (like a virtual Chihiro). His Alter Ego is what saved Makoto (our protaginist). Without Alter Ego hacking into the machine that was going to kill Makoto, Makoto wouldn't been killed in his execution. I was so dissapointed no one really spot lighted him for this. Him not being a programmer and not creating Alter Ego, Makoto would've been in a crushing death (literary).

That was going to be the original concept of Distrust, the “beta” of Danganronpa that was scrapped for being just too overall disturbing (Danganronpa’s disturbing enough so don’t ask why that’s what the devs said idk).
They changed the deaths/survivors to be scripted quite early on in development though, probably because it would take ages to write all the different instances of dialogue between those who survived and those who didn’t.

Chihiro is such a underrated character (I'm only going to talk about things from the anime, not the game and it includes spoilers)
Most of the time, people just talk about if he is a trap, trangender, etc, but Chihiro is a very imporant character along with his Alter Ego (like a virtual Chihiro). His Alter Ego is what saved Makoto (our protaginist). Without Alter Ego hacking into the machine that was going to kill Makoto, Makoto wouldn't been killed in his execution. I was so dissapointed no one really spot lighted him for this. Him not being a programmer and not creating Alter Ego, Makoto would've been in a crushing death (literary).
